You blink and you'll miss it! Located in Lincoln Park, Mi! I must say it is nice to see a Honduras…read moreRestaurant in Downriver and I love to try new types of places! Stopped in for some carry-out! Parking is kind of interesting and located behind the restaurant and in front on the street! You can't just turn in off Fort you have to go down a little bit. Food was pretty good and if you are looking for something different I highly recommend it!

I am sad to see the only other reviewer at this time was so unhappy about his visit here. We had a…read moremuch better experience when my (Honduran) wife and I stopped in today. Folks there are friendly, the place is clean, and the food is quite good. My Honduran wife had the pollo con tajadas, while I went for pollo guisado. Both were on point and totally authentic. The pickled onions could use to pickle a bit longer, but at least they were clearly fresh! The mega balleadas, by the way, are really balleadas preparadas for those in the know, rather than the extra, extra large ones named that way in Honduras. Regular and mega are the same generous (but not overwhelming) portion at this restaurant. For those who haven't tried Honduran food, give it a shot! The flavors are unmistakably Latin, but the food is always made simply from fresh ingredients. I would say Latin ingredients combined with an Italian philosophy on cooking. I would say also that this place is a reasonably-priced and quality entry into Central American cuisine. Shout out to Yosi, who provided great service!! Oh - and no, we are not related to anyone working there. We just genuinely enjoyed our experience.

First time here and enjoying the food immensely…read more The service is great and nice relaxing atmosphere .

Rosita's Treats is well known for its Colombian cuisine. We began the meal with a couple juices,…read morethe guava and lulo, and the empanada & yucca fritter (carimañola) variety pack. This included chicken and mushroom, chorizo and black bean, shrimp and crab, and bulgogi empanadas, along with ground beef, and cheese carimañolas. The chicken and mushroom and chorizo and black bean were my favorites of the 4 empanadas. The shrimp and crab was flavorful, but had a prevalent fish taste. The bulgogi was enjoyable, as well, but had a bit of kick. As for the carimañolas, I liked the ground beef a bit more than the cheese. The dish came with a sour sauce and, the cilantro based, aji sauce. Both were great, to the point where I didn't have a preference. For our entrees, we got the deep fried red snapper and the meat platter. The snapper was delicious, and the bones did not negatively impact the enjoyability of the dish like I thought it may. It came with limes, fried plantains, and an avocado salad. I recommend utilizing the limes, and trying the avocado salad simultaneously with the snapper. The meat platter came with chorizo, both links and pulled, fried pork belly, rice, a fried egg, red beans, sweet plantains, and avocado. Of the 3 meats, the links were my favorite. As for the 2 kinds of plantains, I definitely preferred the sweet over the fried. This was a solid meal, and you can't go wrong with any of other the menu options, either.
