Zweistrom - Vegan Falafel Wrap

I came to Zweistrom's for a much needed late-night snack. It was a Saturday night and the…read moreneighborhood was vibing! I ordered the falafel wrap. The falafels were fried to order, which I appreciate. After the falafels were ready, the gentleman working put them in a wrap and then went to the bar of vegetables and toppings in front of me. He added hummus, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, and I think a spicy mustard. After he finished stuffing the wrap, he rolled it up and placed it on a grill press for a few minutes. My falafel wrap was delicious and full of flavors and textures! Starting with crunchy! It had a big crunch from the grilled wrap. Then I got the added crunch from the falafel. It was then followed by the smooth and savory hummus. The vegetables were a perfect addition. Extra: Vegan options Open late - 3 am! A few seats inside Outdoor seating available It was authentic, inexpensive, fresh, fast, and they were open late! My falafel wrap was the best late night snack that didn't make me feel guilty or bloated the next day. Also, the service was good too! The gentleman working was kind and had great energy. We chatted for a little, it was really nice. I wish him the best of luck. If you're in the area, I highly suggest stopping by. Just wonderful. The next time you stop by the Friedrichstr. or Alexanderplatz U-Bahnhof, you gotta…read moreget yourself some Mishba. You can count on getting a cheap, filling, relatively healthy, FAST, customizable and delicious meal here. I would describe it as a vague fusion of middle-eastern and mexican food. To elaborate on that a bit, I have only ever gotten the burritos/burrito bowls there (the bowl is not on the menu, but you can ask for it), but they don't really taste like the burritos I am used to from California. They have more of middle eastern spiced taste. It kind of reminds me of the taste of "Riz w Shaaariyeh (vermicelli rice)" that my childhood babysitter from Lebanon used to make me. In any case, the food tastes wonderful, and at 3,50€ per (what seems like) a kilo of burrito, it won't break the bank. The basic concept of Mishba is base + toppings -- you choose a baked potato, salad, or burrito, then customize your food with protein + toppings (they have some combos already on the menu if you need some inspiration). It is a great option for omnivores, people who don't eat pork, picky eaters, vegetarians, and vegans on the go.

Don't expect anything too fancy while eating in an u-bahn station, I don't think they did…read more But! If you are on your way, and you need a quick, cheap and tasty solution for your hunger Lang the way this could work out just perfect. Good burritos, heartily filled with many goods, and there are many extras. I like.

Everything in the platter was delicious, but the falafel in particular was out of this world!!! It was so different from the falafels I'm used to. It's crunchy on the outside. And these falafels are HUGE! My friend lives in Berlin and this is her favorite place to eat. Come here if you have the chance, you won't regret it.

Al-Andalos is located in the busy part of Neukölln, right on Sonnenallee. On a Saturday night at 10 p.m., it was full to the rim. No seats, stressed out staff, people fight for seats and the spot in the line to get the delicious food. We ordered the Al-Andalos platter for two (meat) for 11 EUR, which comes with an entire package of Arabic/Lebanese bread. We were barely able to finish the entire plate, there are many tasty things on this plate and even my companion that night, who is generally not so quickly to impress, admitted that it was probably the best he has eaten in a long time. Fresh, tasty, large portions and fair prices. Staff is super friendly and attentive! I think I will have to drive out to Neukölln more often!

A nice cozy place with great outdoor seating. The wait staff was very professional and…read moreaccommodating, and the food was very good. The hummus and falafel with the pita were fantastic and freshly made, the Israeli salad I am used to no having celery so that was a little weird but still delicious and fresh and the eggplant which I was really looking forward to was so over sauced with sweet stuff that it took over the whole thing and the only flavor I got was just that sweet sauce. It over powered everything and I didn't get any eggplant flavor at all which was pretty disappointing. But I would definitely come back here again and just ask them to not put the sauce on the side for the eggplant because the hummus, falafel and pita was worth it.

It's definitely a staple in our household, so it's rare that I eat it when I'm out. But Berlin does have its share of hummus spots, and on a trip to Prenzlauer Berg (where I go very seldom) a friend suggested this place, partially because he likes it and partially because I'm vegan, and you can't go wrong with a hummus place and vegans. Our group of five arrived and started to gather around a smaller table outside, but the owner came out promptly and accommodated us with a larger one, which we took. The menus came out and there are a good half dozen vegan options on there, clearly marked with the green "v" next to them. Thumbs up. I got the regular hummus plate, which comes with pickles, olives, and onion, along with pita bread. It was tasty and filling and the consistency was pretty spot on. They had some drinks that sounded good (ginger lemonade, for example) on the menu, but I was more in the mood for water. I asked the owner and he had no problem with me drinking my water bottle. In fact, they have free self-service tap water. Tops! A nice little place to grab a snack and hang out--friendly service, too.
