The service was friendly and the food was great! We did have to wait a bit for service but they were friendly. We enjoyed our meals and loved their queso!

First time coming here with a friend and everything was great. I believe this is their new location. The service was quick, they brought out our drinks along with chips and salsa. I love hot salsa instead of cold and this was on point. I could have eaten salsa and chips only because it was that good. Large well lit parking lot and nice size restaurant. Clean and colorful decor. They sell liquor but we missed happy hour. We ordered chicken enchiladas and flautas and I tried the tripa taco which was good but could have used more cilantro and onion. It came in two tortillas. Enchiladas were good as well with plenty of shredded chicken and cheese. The beans were good too. The flautas were good and plentiful. I would come back here again if in the area.

Best combo by far fajitas beef and chicken! Plus the perk for start tequila Bloody Mary!

If mediocre food and mediocre service appeal to you then by all means rush to this place. I won't return.

A coworker and I swung by this TexMex restaurant for lunch recently. It had been several years…read moresince I'd been to Gringos, but I remember it being solid TexMex. We had a lovely time, and I was quickly reminded that this isn't jus one of the many TexMex spots it's the Houston area, but it's one of the better ones The restaurant is appealing and inviting from the outside. There's plenty of parking, a to-go station, covered patio seating, and plenty of seating inside The staff were great. We were greeted upon arrival and promptly sat at a table of our choosing. It wasn't completely packed, but much of the restaurant was full, yet we still had our pick of booth vs table vs bar etc We were provided complimentary chips and salsa. Both salsas are great, but the green one is creamy, packs a little heat, and is just delicious The menu offers pretty much all your signature TexMex meals from tacos, burritos, fajitas. Bowls, enchiladas, salads, soups, and many many more. There is a fully stocked bar with all sorts of beer and other drink options The food was terrific, and the display was exceptional. Everything was plated so well, and there were little touches here and there that showed they set they bar just a little higher Some tips: Join the Gringos TexMex insider club/reward loyalty program. You can earn points as you eat. You also get a bonus $25 added to your account when signing up I got the combo fajita tacos, which were solid, but I think I preferred the chicken fajitas way more than the beef Cheers!!

Diana took our order within minutes, margaritas and drinks served fairly quickly. She suggested their citrus tea, which was good but very sweet. I opted for the mango unsweetened tea and it was refreshing. The food did take a bit longer, but understandable. We usually go to their other restaurant, Jimmy Changas. The quality of the food and service is always consistently great with the Gringo's family!

I've been to this location many times over the years, but my last visit made a lasting impression…read morein a good way. My husband, son, and I met my mom there for dinner and they weren't busy so we were seated immediately. The few tables around us that were occupied seemed to be happy with their experience and one of the tables even seemed to be regulars based off of the way they were conversing with the waiter and a man who I assume was a manager. We ordered our food in a timely manner and munched on chips, salsa, and queso while waiting for our meals. Shortly after the entrees arrived, we were visited by Corky, the owner of this location. We had a nice long chat with him about the history of Casa Olé and his time working with Larry Forehand - who started the Casa Olé brand. We discussed changes to the menu and where certain menu items originated. It was a really good conversation and it all started because my mom and I ordered "Quesadillas - the old way" which is not a quesadilla at all, but it IS delicious and worth trying. Corky said he had to see who knew about it and ordered it. We enjoyed our evening and our conversation with Corky. We only visit Casa Olé 3-4 times/year, but we will of course be back and I will remember the visit that we got to have a good chat with Corky.

I won't say who our server was because he's the reason why I deducted a star. He didn't really say much, which is fine with me... but he also wasn't very attentive. I don't need or want a server who hovers, but when 3 out of 4 people have empty drinks and your server has passed your table several times without acknowledging you, it becomes a problem. Also, when I needed a box and my check, he was halfway across the restaurant standing around and not bothering to look at his tables. Other than that, it was a pleasant time. I went to lunch with three ladies after a conference we attended and we had a wonderful time. The food was good and we got just what we expected. The restaurant was clean and well lit. There was a manager going around visiting with people and checking on things. She didn't come to us, but we had just been sat so we hadn't even ordered yet. I like Johnny Tamales and I will go back. I will probably just make sure to have a different server.
