Shrimp cocktail - so healthy and delicious
    Karri V.

Best Authentic Mexican restaurant in the area. You know it's a legit place because the food is similar to what you'll find in South America. See picture of "shrimp cocktail" and it is just as delicious as it looks. This place has been here for years and is definitely not tex-mex. Highly recommend!

Have ate at The Ranch since it opened in the early 90s. It's had its ups and downs but the downs they fix right away. They change and grow with the community. They are now getting ready to improve this building since they have now finished their new place on the south side of Parkersburg. Best carnitas and tacos de carne asada.

    Avocado Carne Asada Chimichanga

It was a little packed and cramped but that's to be expected at a good restaurant on a Saturday night around dinner time. The food was perfect absolutely delicious best Mexican food I've ever had in West Virginia. They were also very fairly priced for the portions they served. For both my dad and my meal it was 37 dollars. He order a beer I ordered soda and we both got a meal with me getting an enchilada as an appetizer. It also has an authentic Mexican style. Would recommend to anyone wanting to try a good place to eat.

They laugh when you ask for soap in the toilet, you're not doing surgery, why use soap.

Have eaten here several times and never had a less than excellent meal. Very good prices, great service. Try the juevos rancheros.

My favorite Mexican food in Parkersburg. We're on our way there for dinner at my 7 year old daughters request!

It was packed and had to wait 5 minutes to be seated. I was greeted with a huge smile, and I answered (in spanish) displaying my diversity. My server, Gabriel, was very attentive to my needs and made sure to check on me a few times to make sure I was enjoying my delicious meal. The restaurant was well lit in the middle with a lot of tiny lights. The booth seating (where I sat) was dimly lit aligned next to the windows. There was a huge TV you could watch as well. I did not get a chance to see the restroom, but judging from the seating area, the restaurant was very clean.

Place was completely packed, not a table open…read more Staff was shuffling in and around the crowds that were standing everywhere they could find an open space....around the bar, inside and outside of the entrance, around the patio seating...even near the restrooms. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait, were put on a list for seating, and given a number. Our number got called about 40 minutes later. We were seated in a back booth and immediately brought complimentary chips and salsa. Our waiter came by about 5 minutes later for our drink orders. He was quick to run off, but if he hadn't taken off so quickly, we would have been able to tell him that we were prepared to order. He came back with drinks: a Mango Margarita for my son, a Raspberry Margarita for my daughter in law, a Mango and Peach Daiquiri for my husband, as well as an unsweetened iced tea, and an unsweetened iced tea for me. Before we could utter a word, he was off again. After this, we didn't see much of him unless we managed to wave him down. In his defense, he was extremely busy. But again, we'd been prepared to order since sitting. Eventually we were able to get our order in: a single chicken burrito with white cheese sauce for me, steak and chicken fajitas for my husband, 2 steak burritos with rice and beans and a side of avocado for my son and daughter-in-law to split, and Mexican guacamole for the table. My daughter in law sent her Raspberry Margarita back, because it was sour and opted for a mango Margarita instead. My son ordered a Peach Margarita for his second round, but liked the mango best. Margaritas are huge, as is the daiquiris. My husband really enjoyed his peach mango daiquiri. The fajitas weren't sizzling like we are accustom to at various Mexican restaurants that we frequent, but they were OK. Wasn't a fan of their beans; rice was decent. My chicken burrito was also only okay. In the end, my husband and I weren't all that impressed with the food. Service was slow, but we think that was only because of the herd of diners. I figured once the crowd dies down, the service will be more up to par.
