My wife and I like to frequent this food truck but lately we've noticed the prices going sky high and the food amount going dowwwnnn. Last night I got two Lomo saltado meals and 2 sodas for $44 and i got HALF the amount of meat as usual. Very disappointed for the amount of money i paid. The quality of this spot is going down slowly. It was our favorite spot but unfortunately last night would be the last time we support them.

Looks good!

I guess this food truck is a casualty of "Taipa Food Truck" another food truck located in the Kendall area which is far superior! I was not impressed and the lack of crowds is a clear indication of the quality of the food. It's average at best, and the location isn't as enjoyable and relaxing as the other food trucks. The mosquito situation is not good and they have very poor lighting. The food was ok, and definitely more expensive than Taipa. They are pretty stingy with the rice which is very confusing being that it's the cheapest ingredient possibly in the world. Our beverages were warm and they did not have Chicha Morada. I won't return as the other food truck is located near by and is much much better, but I just wanted to give them a chance. Ps there was one thing that I really enjoyed.......the music! They were playing some excellent tunes!

Great taste and the portion for lomo saltado is great. The ceviche was a bit small but perfect for me and my tummy. I'll be back punto peruano. Im trying the burger next!

This is the lomo saltado, this does not even look appetizing, all I have to say is don't waste your money here. Go to McDonald's for better quality.

If you like frozen corn with your anticuchos, then you should definitely come here. Greasy food and terrible customer service.

Awesome Lomo saltado and ceviche. Consistently good. Sometimes a long wait, but worth it.

I still had a couple of bites left, right after that octopus was hard and chewy I ate some of it because I was really hungry at the moment but not happy at all I told my server about it and still was charger for it, I wasn't expecting them to remove it from the check but at least a discount. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.. The food is not even great to make it up for the lack of common sense.

The juice…read morefor the traditional ceviche was amazing - I only wish I had some bread to soak it up, but did scoop it up with a spoon full of white rice from the another dish. It was tart with a slight heat from the chili, with cilantro, thinly sliced red onion, sweet potato, and giant corn - nicely salty. The fish was fresh, and was nicely marinated. The Causa Ganadora was very good - cold mashed potato with Peruvian red pepper, oil, and lime, serviced with panko shrimp with a maracuya sauce. The panko shirmp was lightly crisp. The Lomo Saltado was good, too. The meat was tender, the fries were good, onions, and tomatoes with a side of rice. The Parihuela Acevichada was very tasty, served hot, with corvina, shrimp, squid, and musssels. To drink, I tried the Chicha Morada, with purple corn, pineapple, clove, and cinnamon was good. My server was friendly. It's a small place, with a small bar.

The presentations were all so beautiful. Along with the presentation, the flavors were wonderful - ingredients tasted very fresh and the combination of flavors felt very well thought out. The service was very attentive and they truly take the time to explain some of the history and culture behind their dishes, which is an appreciated touch. I'd highly recommend this spot for an elevated dinner, especially if you are a fan of Peruvian food. This place does a lovely job of honoring it!

I rolled the dice and chose MAYU, a Peruvian restaurant located on the outskirts of Brickell. As soon as we walked into the restaurant the host was super welcoming. We got sat and immediately got greeted by our server ALEXANDER who happened to be a key element in our food experience. Many might overlook his presence as people are trying to look at the menu and figure out what they want to eat, but if you pay close attention the server, he will guide you to the best food experience you will ever encounter. Food we had in order: 1. Ceviche Classico 100/100 ( my husbands rating) 2. Ceviche del barrio 10/10 3. Acevichado roll 10/10 4. Hotate Parma without cream cheese 10/10 5. Pulpo anticuchero 10/10 (the octopus was so tender and delicious 6. Lomo saltado 10/10 ( amazing tender meat) must have !! Just as we were getting ready to leave we met Santiago, the manager and I asked him, "Why don't you have a Michelin star?!?!?" My mind was blown by how delicious and beautiful this food was. I wish them the best. This is truly a place to come and enjoy amazing Peruvian food. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. If you're a local here, DO NOT WALK PAST THIS ESTABLISHMENT. A special thanks to Alexander who made our experience amazing by explaining every dish and making us feel as if we were dining at his home. Would love a MAYU in LA.
