I generally like El Pollo Loco. This location on Lake Mead in Henderson is my go-to as a matter of convenience. But dang they have been struggling lately. I always use the drive-thru. Going inside means likely having to us a kiosk to order. No thanks. At least in the drive-thru I can talk to a person. Or so it seems. But maybe not as I am always greeted and told to let them know when I'm ready to order. I say I am and then I wait until some other voice comes on to take my order. So maybe it starts as an automated voice. I don't know. Anyhow, a couple of visits ago I was handed my food by the guy at the window who seemed uninterested in actually collecting payment from me. Being an honest person and not wanting to get him in trouble I reminded him that I had not paid yet. Awkward. Tonight's visit had another drive-thru faux pas. I pulled up to the window and was told my bill was $29 and change. I only ordered a 3 taco al carbon meal that rings in at $5.99. I told the guy that whatever he quoted me was not my order. I reminded him what I ordered. He had to put it in again as if it was never entered in the first place. Did the automated voice at the order box "take" my order but forget to pass it on to the real people? Aside from the distracted service, tonight's food wasn't wonderful. The tortillas were hard and dried out. They're usually better than that. This must have been an off night. The green salsa also seemed bland. It usually has a kick to it. Tonight had no spice. There is a other El Pollo on Stephanie. Its a bit further away but I may have to give it a try and see if it is an improvement. read more

Just can't do it and it is the ultimate insult to any responsible business to hear that I would imagine. They, and some of their die hard customers just keep tolerating the inadequacies of sub par food and service. Food that would gag a maggot. And on and on it goes. Same piss poor responses from management shrugging off real productive responsibility and obligation to to their customers, without changing a thing. I ordered the 16 piece family meal. It says online that this meal should feed 7-8 people. All of the chicken breasts were cut in half. They charge you extra for "mixed" meat which included breasts but all of the pieces were the same size - SMALL! All of the sides have been downsized. DO NOT COME HERE!!! Trust me, if you are hungry, trying to feed yourself or family, DO NOT COME HERE! This is the THIRD time I try to give this place a chance, and I'll never come back. They do not follow any health protocol with their food! This review is my last straw, but every time we come here this place really sucks! Not only is the entire place TERRIBLE where they don't care about customer service and good quality, they are so rude to customers. They make you wait for about 5 minutes to hand you your order, get upset when you ask for salsa and always always forget something crucial! Last night did it for me. $28.86 later, we got charged for churros AT THE WINDOW for them to say after we've paid that they were out and gave us a large drink Instead. They gave us 1/2 filled salsas and 1/2 filled dressings. Both of our large loco side salads had old, slimy lettuce. They did not put the chips that come with the salad, and the cabbage started to bleed into the bowl since it was disgusting. The soda was flat, the mashed potato gravy was crusty and old. Also, the chicken was dry, over cooked and I'm sure was sitting in the warmer for hours. This location not only lacks on good Customer service but fails to keep their customers safe. Last night I waited in the drive-through line for 40 minutes if not more to be told that their oven broke and it would be an additional 10 min wait, which was fine. The manager Brandi Ventura asked me to move Forward I declined she then went to every customer in the drive-through line told them that their oven had broke but the line was being held up because I wouldn't move which then caused people to be more angry. so instead of taking responsibility for her establishment she put it on me the customer which in return put my son who is six and my life at jeopardy because a customer came out to my car threatened my life and then broke my headlight. She also threatened to remove me from my car. This manager needs to be held accountable for what she did if she never went outside and told the customers what she did, this could've all been avoided. People are at their wits end because of what's currently going on in the world. to put your customer at risk because you didn't like their response is simply a lack of maturity and lack of customer safety. Have been to this location a few times since the company came out with their keto tacos. From the beginning until tonight I have been happy. Tonight was the first time they didn't not live up to past experiences. The tacos were missing a couple key ingredients from the pico to the creamy cilantro dressing. They were very dry and completely not what is pictured. My wife ordered a two piece meal breast and wing. She took one bite and spit it out. She said it tasted spoiled and old. She and I both smelled it and it smelled odd. Called the store and talked to Teresa, explained the situation about the chicken and the tacos. She attempted to explain the process of making the tacos but if the ingredients are not there they are not there. She also stated that they had received a delivery of chicken today and would check the date on the boxes.
