This is my favorite fast food restaurant, hands down. You get great flavorful food, and you don't feel guilty eating it at the same time. I come to this location mostly, and the service is always good. I order on the mobile app, and by the time I get there, my food is bagged and ready to go.

The save money el Pollo loco changed the containers for salsas and beans, I had an order to go and when I got home all the liquids for the beans where everywhere, all the plastic bag the chips, the tortillas and the chicken was wet, this is ridiculous you can't not mix some liquid food with dry food because is going to lose the consistency. This is retard!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Disgusting. Ordered the meal, they forgot l the chips. Ok fine whatever. The soup clearly looks old and funky.. the chicken was so dark it looked like pork or meat. It was clearly reheated over and over, which can cause food poisoning! So unsanitary! Took one bite and tasted the old. I'm top of it ALL pulled a long hair out of the soup. Wtf!!!! I don't understand the level of ignorance and carelessness at this location. Never coming back. I'm disgusted.

Got burritos buy 1 get 1 free for National Burrito Day- tried the Chk Avocado and Chk Tinga for $8.49 + tax. Idk if I'd pay $8.49 for them, but a great deal to get 2 for that price. Good size, taste was 4/5. The staff messed up the order but made me new orders and were apologetic. I'd also gotten the family chk meal from them- 12 pieces of chk and 3 sides. We got mashed potatoes, blk beans, red beans. The chk was good, beans were ok (a bit bland) and the mashed potato was also just ok (tasted like instant but that's not surprising since this is fast food). Overall, would come again when in the area when there's a sale, but not worth the original prices.

TINY chicken pieces!

This has got to be the WORST El Pollo Loco location in existence! I am usually a big El Pollo Loco fan, I have been going to El Pollo Loco since they opened the first one in LA in the 80's. First, they got my order wrong, I ordered 12 pc legs and thighs. As I was driving home, I reached in to get a piece to give some to my dog, and realized that they had given me mixed instead of legs and thighs. I returned to exchange it, and the young man behind the counter said something to the effect of "it's a good thing you brought it back, the mixed is more expensive than the legs and thighs". I was curious what he meant by that, but then I realized that he took the box of (opened, and handled!) chicken and put it next to the orders going OUT. This is insane, selling it to another person! Well if that wasn't bad enough, when I did get home and open the package to have some lunch, the quality of the chicken itself was just horrible! The chicken was very dry, as if it had been sitting out, or been re-warmed over and over. Almost like chicken jerky. The pieces of chicken were also TINY, not the delicious, juicy chicken that I love so much. They were so small that I was curious how much they weighed...I weighed a few and there were only between 1.5 and 2 oz each! So disappointing after spending $40 on food that should have lasted me for the next few days. I usually LOVE the mild red salsa, but the flavor at this store was just OFF. It was too spicy and had too much cilantro. It was definitely different than usual. Also, I noticed that the tops of the little salsa containers were bulging, indicating bacterial growth. I didn't notice this on the first one or I wouldn't have eaten it! I ended up throwing everything in the trash, not wanting to risk getting sick. I think they have a definite quality control problem at this store, and possibly an unsafe food storage issue as well. My recommendation is to STEER CLEAR of this store!

The food is delicious

I guess the chicken fingers and their special dipping sauce is there main attraction. The chicken fingers are basically like chicken tenders. The batter was 3.5/5 the chicken itself was not bad. Tasted better than the chicken in the tenders from other fast food restaurants. The sauce was kind of like a semi spicy blend of mayo and something else ketchup not sure. It was like a thousand island salad dressing type of flavor. Not bad tasted good with the chicken. I'm sure most people have tried Cane's I'm just late to the game. Give it a try if you haven't.

I would've killed this myself and ate half of my girlfriend's back in the day. My appetite was ferocious. You could've been bit had you gotten too close. But I digress.... Before we sat down, this helpful employee, thin black guy named Jahmal zipped past us and said. "Lemme wipe that table down for you." He wiped it down and then came back to dry it. We sat down awaiting to be called when our food was ready. Instead, Jahmal brought our food to our table and brought two paper plates. Good lookin' out! Food was hittin'. Hot crispy chicken with that signature Cane's sauce, streaming crinkle cut fries and tangy crisp Cole saw. Yeah, buddy! The restaurant is clean. They play a nice mix of music from R&B to country to reggae. Food was on point. And the service was impeccable. We were getting ready to leave when Jahmal appeared at our tackle to take our trash. I've never had this happen at any other Raising Cane's. This is the spot. Will be back!

This particular location (tucked in between a McDonald's & Quick Quack Car Wash) is directly on Lichen Dr and adjacent to busy Antelope Rd in Citrus Heights. They opened their doors for business back in late-2023 and in that amount of time, I've seen more negative than positive reviews. So I took matters in my own hands to be the judge of that to see where this place ranks. I will say that the food served here is eerily similar to what you'd find at other fast-food Mexican restaurants including Adalberto's & Carolina's. The menu includes just about everything you can possibly imagine including tacos, burritos, enchiladas, tortas, salads, nachos, breakfast options, and a variety of Mexican beverages. One big plus is how sizable the dining area is here with ample seating to comfortably seat at least 3 dozen customers. Furthermore, they also offer a 24-hour drive thru while their inside lobby is even open during the late night hours. My lady and I came here during the afternoon of Saturday 5/24/25 at around 3:30pm as we were both absolutely starving after a full day of errands. I ordered the "California Burrito" (quite fitting when coming here) while she went with (2) "Carne Asada" tacos and (1) "Rolled Beef" taco. We both order a Horchata to wash it down. Total price for everything including tax came out to around $27. I also wanted to add that chips/salsa are included with your purchase when dining in. Service here was quick as both of our plates arrived in about 7 minutes. My burrito was piping hot and had fresh chunks of seasoned Carne Asada complete with fried potatoes, cheese, and Pico de Gallo. And once adding some of their red & green salsas in every savory bite, I will say that everything tasted great after it was all said and done. I've been to my fair share of Mexican fast-food places and everything here was fresh and inviting. All in all, I am giving this "California Burrito" location an above average four-star rating.

Great Service, but the Parking Situation Is Anything but In-N-Out!…read more This In-N-Out has a great location right off the freeway, making it easy to spot when driving by. Unfortunately, getting in and out of the parking lot is a completely different story! The parking lot is extremely small, and there's a gas station and several other businesses sharing the same general area. When the In-N-Out lot fills up, finding a place to park becomes frustrating. There are even signs posted throughout the neighboring businesses stating that parking is not allowed for In-N-Out customers, leaving very few options. I ended up parking in one of those areas because the In-N-Out lot was full. After eating lunch, I walked back to my car only to find myself stuck in my parking stall because the drive-thru line had backed up and blocked me in. I couldn't get out! So much for In-N-Out -- it turned into Sit-and-Wait! Now, on a positive note, the experience inside the restaurant was great. My food came out quickly, the service was good, and I had a wonderful interaction with Ray, an older gentleman who was walking around cleaning tables, checking on customers, and making sure everyone was taken care of. He was incredibly sweet, friendly, attentive, and genuinely interested in how my day was going. People like Ray make a difference and deserve recognition for the kindness they show customers. Overall, the food and customer service were great, but the parking situation definitely needs improvement. Between the limited spaces, restrictions at neighboring businesses, and drive-thru traffic blocking parked cars, getting in and out can be a real headache. My suggestion: If you're stopping here, be prepared for a parking challenge. The restaurant itself was fine, but the parking experience was anything but convenient. I'll be sharing pictures of the posted parking signs so other customers know what to expect before they stop by.

Avoid this restaurant at all costs!…read more I placed my order and waited for 30 minutes. During that time, they were calling out order numbers for customers who had arrived after me. When I checked with the cashier, she told me my order wasn't ready yet. I waited another 10 minutes and asked another staff member, only to find out that my order had not even been prepared due to a mistake on their end. I spoke with the manager, Eddie, who explained that the system had accidentally cut off my order. After making me wait for 40 minutes, they were able to prepare my order in just 5 minutes. They even didn't offer a gift card or free meal. All they did was apologize. Is this how they treat their customers? You guys waited my time. The communication and coordination between the cashier (whose name I unfortunately forgot) and the manager were extremely disappointing. Mistakes can happen, but keeping customers informed and taking responsibility for those mistakes are basic expectations of good customer service. On a positive note, thank you to Aldo for checking on the situation promptly and providing an accurate response.

Located directly on Greenback Lane and just east of Sunrise Blvd in the heart of Sunrise Marketplace, this is one of two Wendy's locations to serve Citrus Heights (with the other being on Antelope Rd/I-80). Since I had not been to this location in several years, I figure why not stop by to see if it is as good as I remembered. Parking was relatively easy to find as many of the major businesses are not close to here. I also wanted to add that they drive-thru was fairly easy to navigate with signs directing you where to go. Since I actually enjoy checking out the interior layout while interacting with the staff/employees, I was actually quite impressed with how large and spacious it was. However, during my visit (which was on Sunday 8/2/2026 at around 7:15pm), there was not a single customer dining inside. It actually made me quite sad that it had a sterile look to it; however it was very clean. The only major drawback was that the air conditioner was not working at full capacity which meant a real challenge for everyone working. When I remember Wendy's from my childhood and even into early adulthood, I loved the salad bar with so many endless possibilities to choose from. Unfortunately, those days are long gone. However, their mobile app has made ordering quite simple as many (if not all) fast food establishments have adapted to changes in technology. My order was also as simplistic as they come as I ordered a small chocolate "Frosty" which was offering a $1 promotion during my visit. As soon as my order was placed, my dessert was waiting for me at the front counter area. All in all, service here was good while the inside is actually cozy enough to enjoy your food (with the exception of no A/C). I have been at other various Wendy's locations over the past few years as their food has always been middle-of-the-road; good but not great. Best of all, this particular location has longer hours of operation being open 7 days a week from 6:00am to 1:00am. With that said and done, I am giving the Citrus Heights "Wendy's" on Greenback Lane an average three star rating.

I kept seeing the $1.99 deal for 10 chicken nuggets advertised everywhere, so naturally I thought, "Perfect. Quick, cheap little treat." Except there's a catch. You apparently need a qualifying purchase of $5 or more to get the $1.99 nuggets. That part wasn't nearly as obvious as the giant $1.99 advertisement makes it seem. Once we got there, we figured, okay, no big deal--we'll just grab a couple of drinks so we can qualify. Somehow, two drinks and the nuggets ended up being around $9-$10. And that's where I got irritated, because there was literally a $6-ish mini meal deal that came with nuggets, a drink, a burger AND fries. We could have just bought that and gotten significantly more food for less money. So the lesson here is: don't automatically assume a deal is actually a deal. Read the fine print, look at the other combos, and do the math before you get excited about the giant promotional price. The stop itself was fine, and this isn't really a complaint about the food. We just went in expecting a quick, inexpensive treat for Avery after his dentist appointment, and somehow turned a $1.99 advertised deal into a nearly $10 purchase when there was a better-value option sitting right there. The place was clean the service was decent ( had to wait the full cook time for nuggets ) But ... Definitely left feeling like we got played by the fine print.
