Came during lunch time (1:30pm) and it wasn't too busy. The staff was very friendly and I noticed that a bunch of guests that came in after us were returning customers because it seemed like they knew everyone. Lunch menu - 9.90€ great price for a lot of food. Here's what we ordered: Appetizers Chorizo - strong bold flavor. The chorizo is not grounded up so there's less fat then a regular ground chorizo. Pica Pau - this beef dish was a bit on the chewy side but the citrus sauce it came in was oh so delicious I wanted to pick up the bowl and drink the sauce Entree Bacalao (cod fish) the way they grilled this is just perfect. It's so smokey and tasty. Order a side of mayonnaise to go with this. Comes with 3 nice sized baked potatoes. Chicken entree - juicy and not dry at all. Although this dish was super delicious, I prefer the bacalao over this. For dessert we got the caramel mousse and the Pastel de Nata (egg tart) sprinkled with cinnamon. This dessert was so good, I ordered half a dozen to take home. By 2:30pm, this place was packed so come early! I'm definitely coming back to this restaurant. Fair warning- you will smell like BBQ after leaving this restaurant.

Food was so good we went back for dinner to try other things on the menu. Prices are slightly higher for dinner but not by much. We ordered Pollo A La Brasa, Costillas, Bitoque, dessert was pica-Pau and we took to go pastel de nata. I have to add to my review. We are here for dinner on our last night in Barcelona. I like the chicken dish with the garlic potatoes the best and highly recommend it.

In short, the stakes were high for a lunch that we had not made provisions for. We came upon the restaurant through a Google search nearby. Our group was split into two as it was too large for the quaint family-run restaurant. We ordered whatever we could understand from the Portuguese menu like the sardine bruschettas, grilled prawns, mushrooms, and many others -- tapas-style. Everything was tasty to perfection. The four bottles of wine we ordered complimented the food. Our pangs of thirst and hunger turned into tears of satiation, and by the end, we were considering ourselves lucky to have 'discovered' the restaurant (without any help from the guidebooks). I wish Oporto Restaurant would be in every port. P.S.: Also not sure why Yelp gives it three Euro signs when it really should be just one.

By 9pm it was 100% full. We opted to eat family style. We started out with a tomato and cheese salad and pica pau. Both were excellent. For a main, we went will be mixed grilled. It contains a mix of beef, pork, and sausage. Was quite good! When it was time for dessert, we opted for Baba de Camelo - akin to a caramel mousse. Service was great and the food was very good. N*joy!

La reseña Castellana despues de Inglés…read more A new restaurant in my hood, I love it!!! The food was super delicious!! I had the tuna tatare with guacamole. The dressing, the texture and the portion size all perfect! And the price wasn't bad at all! My boyfriend ordered the mixed paella, they also had black rice (arroz negro) available. Every Sunday their specialty is paella! It was amazing! And after our meal the waitress (Nuria) asked us if we'd like a bit more paella at no extra charge. How often does that happen? I think maybe because there weren't many people and there was plenty of paella or maybe she was just being nice because I'm so goddamn charming!!(kidding). The chef is Portuguese an she is very talented! The waitress (Nuria) was so friendly and accommodating, she was so attentive our every need. A spectacular restaurant in the ocean humdrummary in Barcelona. Sometimes you get good food and not so good service, or vice versa. Truly special are places that balance both, perfectly. This is one of those places! I highly recommend it to everyone! I will be back again, and again, and again, and again! Castellana- Un nuevo restaurante en mi barrio! Me encanta!
