Sadly, our "king" bed was two unattached adjacent twins. Otherwise, the room was sufficiently large, clean, and modern. The elevators are perhaps the opposite: old, slow, and sometimes broken. Unfortunately the restaurant/bar on the top floor is kinda sad, which is really a missed opportunity given the views, so we opted to just enjoy our balcony instead.
The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the beach (there aren't really beach front hotels in Alicante, so it's one of the closest). The hotel doesn't have beach towels but you can buy one for 7-8 euro at a market or on the boardwalk. It's also right in the center of the restaurants and shops; Alicante is pretty small and very walkable.
Note that parking is not on site. If you're lucky, you can swoop in out front to unload and then move about 8 blocks up to the San Cristobal garage, for which the hotel has a slight discount.
