All round nice place. Good drinks , great food. Parking can get dicey on Fri/Sat. But there is on street parking, too.

The food wasn't good at all, it was microwaved and tasted awful, I've lived all over this country and visited Mexico, I gotta say I would eat that Taco Bell before eating here again read more

Cute restaurant with beautiful decorations. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the workers and got the feeling it was a family owned restaurant. A little girl and a woman walked us to our table but you could tell the lady (maybe the mom) was making her practice her public speaking which I adored! I tried the lunch fajitas for dinner since I wanted a smaller portion than the dinner option and it was still a good amount of food. I loved that the tortillas were freshly made! The only thing I didn't like were the beans - they had a smoky, almost burnt tasting flavor. Overall, great spot! We'll be back. read more

What a fantastic place. The food is truly authentic nothing from a can here. The margaritas, fantastic! It looks like a small place from the outside, but don't let that pull you if there's plenty of room for everyone. Well worth the trip to a small little town. read more

El Pedrigal translates as "The Stony Ground" which is a nod to its location here in Lithopolis, Ohio. The historic, rambling, single-level building has had many previous purposes. The ambiance is typical rustic Mexican decor. You will enter from an enclosed porch and see the front counter and a few small tables, you'll pass other eating areas, the kitchen and finally arrive at a well-appointed bar. Drinks are generous. It's all cheerful, colorful and boisterous. You can have a conversation, but there is background Mariachi music, multiple TVs, and the many noises of a busy place. In fair weather the patio tables are very nice and much quieter. The service is always friendly, attentive and smiling. The owners are usually present, working just as hard as the staff. The fixed menu is large, mostly Tex-Mex. The food is fantastic and as fresh as it gets. Appetizers are made when ordered and not before. The kitchen is fast. The food (and plates) arrive HOT. I live nearby so I often get carry-out and it never disappoints. I treat all my visitors there. Although prices (everywhere) have gone up, the meals are still a great value for their size. Parking can be an issue as the lot is small and difficult to navigate, but street parking is usually available. It's a busy place and a gem in the community. read more

This Mexican Restaurant is tucked away in Lithopolis. We were warmly welcomed and seated. The Wait Staff came and promptly took our drink orders. After placing our food orders we were served homemade fresh salsa and chips. Our food came out hot and freshly made. I had a lunch chicken chimichanga and my wife had a taco salad. Both meals were well proportioned and delicious. The vibe is of an authentic Mexican cantina with the food to match. read more

Always reliable for traditional comfort Mexican, the fact that I've been here many times says it all. Has a nice outdoor patio when open. Broad menu has plenty of choices including some unique dishes you won't find everywhere. Solid bar has plenty of options. Usually has a short wait at prime dinner time, but that's a good sign, right? read more

First off, what a great location. Being March, it was too cold and wet to sit on patio, but it looks like a really nice atmosphere. Food and service were also excellent. read more

Their Shrimp Queso Fundido is a delicious heart attack, just waiting to happen... It's officially an appetizer, but is was big enough to make a full meal. The umami was amazing with gooey queso blanco with spinach, nopales, and grilled shrimp, all served with a big basket of warm tortillas. I also enjoyed the various hot sauces to change up the flavors a bit. I don't know about the rest of their food, and frankly, I might not ever try anything else as I'd probably get this again and again. It's that good. Really. 5 stars for great food and fast / efficient service. read more

So good!! El Pedregal always delivers on service and food quality! These workers are some of the sweetest people I've ever met and they always provide tasty, affordable food. (Try the taco salad!!) El Pedregal Mexican Restaurant - 46. Taco Salad with chicken! - Tacos Near Me - Lithopolis, Ohio

My second visit here and review. I like small town ambience and this restaurant fits in nicely with ethnic casual comfort. Good parking on and off the street. A bilingual staff that are cordial, attentive, prompt and efficient. As I mentioned last time the foods are under seasoned for me, but, there are 3 different hot sauces on the table to reinforce the meal as desired. I had the lunch special 1, a taco, a chilli-rehliano (sp?), refried beans. (See photo). It was tasty and I'll undoubtedly come again. read more

Came for a date night, and this food was so good! The queso dip and the salsa and chips are great! The street tacos were larger than expected and I couldn't finish them, but I go a mahi mahi taco, chicken taco and steak taco and I would definitely get the steak and mahi mahi again. My husband had a bowl and ordered some tortillas on the side and he enjoyed it. We would definitely come here again. We are so glad Mexican food is improving in Ohio! read more

My mom and I ended up at El Pedregal after exploring the Lithopolis Bee Festival. We didn't want to eat at the food trucks. They were busy with the fesitval but had a decent wait time. We only had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. This left us with time to continue exploring the fesitval before it shut down. Once we were seated, we placed our order fairly quickly, and then we waited....and waited...and waited. An hour later we finally got our food. My beans and rice were cold, the rest of the food was luke warm. It was disappointing after waiting so long. The table across from ours got a burrito, it was HUGE. It looked like it could have easily made 3 meals for me. The food was decent, I just wished it was hot. Especially with how long we had to wait for it. We knew the waitress put it in because she kept checking on our table. read more

Quick service. Great food. Server was attentive . Checked frequently to make sure we had everything thing we wanted or needed.

Amazing atmosphere friendly service. Chips and queso excellent. Had chicken with spinach. Refried beans. All good. We will be back

Fiesta! El Pedregal offers some delicious Mexican fare in Lithopolis. The free chips and salsa were delicious and fresh - a perfect way to start our journey south of the border. The restaurant is surprisingly large, with ample seating inside and out. I had the enchiladas and they were delicious. The fillings were flavorful and fresh. My large portion came with the choice of two sides - my rice and beans were great! Service was friendly and El Pedregal will be my next stop in Lithopolis! read more

Authentic Mexican food, great flavor. Service was quick. Quaint little area, quiet and beautiful.

This is a great place! We are so lucky to have it nearby because there isn't a great selection of restaurants in the area. Plus, the other mexican restaurant nearby has gone way downhill. I have had many of the dishes off of the menu here. Mainly I like all the tacos best. The shrimp and mahi mahi are the same just changing the protein and they are so good! The lechuga taco is basically chicken fajita on a lettuce wrap and it's very generous on portion. If you got one with a side of rice you could make a meal of it! There is a really yummy jicama taco with coconut crusted chicken inside too! Yesterday I tried their new quesabirria tacos and they were really good! I have had birria tacos that I prefer better at another restaurant (Martha's fusion kitchen) though. But that's just a personal preference. The difference for me was that El Pedregal doesn't dip their shell in the stew and the shell isn't as crispy. I still really liked them though! We also sampled the tres leches cake and that was also delicious! The wait staff here is absolutely wonderful! When we go we ask for Marta! She is so great! She is so kind with our 2yo even though she steals all her pens and paper She is also very attentive and will go out of her way to make sure you get what you need. But everyone there is awesome. I highly recommend El Pedregal! If you go, step outside your box and try something a little different than you might normally get! I feel like this is their strong suit. I used to get the same thing at every Mexican restaurant (enchiladas supreme) but I now try something different everywhere I go and it's so much more fun! read more

El Pedregal Mexican Restaurant - Quesabirria tacos.. the order is 3, I already ate 1 - Tacos Near Me - Lithopolis, Ohio

El Pedregal is better than expected. It's one of the few restaurants in Lithopolis. This is a pretty boring town. It certainly needed somewhere else to eat. The food beats many of the bigger Mexican restaurants. I had a house margarita. It's about $5 for the regular size. They have a larger size but it's not much bigger than this. It was good. This tasted like it was actually made with ingredients and not just a mix. I had the vegetable burrito. It's about $10 and comes with guacamole and salad. The salad is really just some chopped iceberg and tomatoes. It also comes covered in that cheese glaze. This is something that I always request to be left off. It's pretty good without it. The vegetables in the burrito include mushrooms and squash. Try it if you happen to be in Lithopolis. It's the town's best dining option. Of course it's about the only real restaurant. read more

We went to because we were told it was great food. My food was chipped beef and chicken. The steak we ordered tasted like it was old and had sat too long in blood. The service was nice. The first time we were seated next to a window that was so cold, it felt like it had no panes in it! The second time we moved, it was the same way. We eventually were moved to a booth by the door wth! The drinks were good read more

My husband and I discovered this little gem last summer and it has simply become our favorite authentic Mexican restaurant in Columbus! The entire staff (host, waiter/waitresses, bartenders, etc) are always so upbeat and friendly), the food is fresh/hot and extremely tasty, the decor is also appealing (I love the patio!), and the prices are not bad at all either! I have invited everyone here...from my own little family to my parents to my friends and everyone has absolutely enjoyed it! My favorite appetizer is the queso fundido for $6. The gooey cheese and chorizo mixture is to die for. Legit die for. It's amazing! My stepson who prefers just plain queso loves it and can eat the heck out of this dip! The guacamole is really fresh and tasty too! My parents and friends have complimented the freshness and thickness of the salsa that is served free with tortilla chips. My favorite meal is the Texas Fajitas for $16.50. The fajitas are made with chicken, steak, and shrimp and is super filling! I have gotten the meal many times and will continue getting the meal! I have also tried the shrimp quesadilla fajita which I thought was really good too! My husband and dad's fave are the El Perceval Fajitas which are made with steak, chicken, onions, peppers, mushrooms, pineapple, chorizo, and bacon! Sounds yummy, right? The portions are extremely large as well. We also came here for Cinco De Mayo this year and WOW it was a blast! We were served free tequila shots and given free beaded necklaces as we left. My husband's steak for his fajita quesadilla came out just a little salty and a waiter immediately took the dish back to the kitchen and came back with a new plate that was perfect for my husband's liking. Currently, there is a coupon on the back of Kroger receipts. It's $3 off $15 and $5 off $25 or more. We will definitely be back soon! Love everyone at this friendly, authentic restaurant! Major props, El Pedregal! read more

Awesome Mexican restaurant hidden away in Lithopolis! The parking lot may be full when you get there, but don't worry, there's plenty of rooms and tables inside! We came in for lunch and ordered off the lunch menu, it did not disappoint! I will say I wish my fajitas had come with cheese, but the tortillas were made fresh for us and that made up for it. The lunch portion is a good size. Service was on point, they were very attentive and quick with refills. read more

Who would've thought one of my favorite Mexican restaurants would be found hidden in Lithopolis? This place has so many options from authentic tacos to Tex Mex, everyone is happy! I don't eat lengua (tongue) tacos but I tried some of my husband's and it was one of the most flavorful things there and the sauce is what really makes it. Good variety, good drinks, good vibes and customer service. Highly recommend. read more

Went there for lunch today with a friend. Greeting was nice but once we were seated the server was semi rude. Both orders came out with ingredients missing. Server was annoyed when we pointed this out. Server was also annoyed when we asked for separate checks which we told him we wanted when we first sat down. Again, he was annoyed when my friend asked for a refill on her beverage and again when we asked for "to go" boxes. In a nutshell, food was fair and service was disappointing read more

Great experience! I went in for lunch and found the dining room to be very nice. Some Mexican places can get a little cheesy with the decor but this place is right on. I can see it being a great place for a date night. I got the lunch chimichanga and guacamole. Everything seemed really fresh and nicely presented. Staff was professional and fast. I will definitely be back! read more
