Best masa ever! Made the mistake of getting it somewhere else last year. Never again. I'll be sticking to getting my masa here all the time.

I wandered in on a Sunday morning and thought, so this is Heaven?! It smelled like sweet, warm pan…read moredulce and hot tamales. Hands down the best pan dulce I've ever had. Fresh, fluffy, full of flavor! Ever look at the paper bag other places put your pan in?! I do. This paper bag no grease on it! True works of art! And the tamales.....THE ABSOLUTE BEST! I won't be making tamales ever again, I'm going to buy them from here and fib!

The only reason I gave it two stars it's because at least the cake was done . But from the…read morebeginning it was a fail . My sister in law wanted a delicious and different ( design) cake for her 18th birthday . Decided to pick this place . Since the start they wanted to charge her extra because of the design . It was a shock because the design that she wanted on the cake was from 21 pilots ( which is a circle and two lines ) . She thought It was a little too much but hey she thought that it would be worth it . Finally it was a day before the event and she goes and pays the rest of the cake and to find out that they haven't even started . She ordered it days in advance and even paid half and nothing . Finally it's time to pick up the cake and when I saw it it was a little underwhelming .( I didn't wanted to tell her ) but I was hopeful that the cake would be amazing . Nope the cake was dry and the tres leches part was put uneven where some parts had it and some didn't . But what really was a big no no is how much frosting it had . Like it was mostly frosting than cake . Usually when that happens is that the cake is uneven and to even it only while decorating it they put a lot of buttercream. Sadly I know this because I used to work at a cake shop and employees that were kicked out from decorating cakes was because of that reason. Putting too much frosting to hide the mistakes they made while building it . It was a sad experience for my sister in law because not a lot of people ate the cake and she had to pay a lot for a tres leches cake . Maybe the bread is good here but if you want to get a cake please save your money and get it somewhere else .

Location: La Boulangerie Date: April 27, 2026…read more Service: Cake Earlier today I stopped at The bakery to pick up a birthday cake for work. This is April so time to celebrate for the April birthdays let's go. They opened up at 6:30 a.m. and they close at 6:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday The weekends are different hours. I went there and they had lots of cakes displayed for everything was fresh and ready they was putting everything out as they just opened. Good night prices are fairly reasonable for the area they assisted me right away. Overall I had an outstanding customer service experience and will be returning in the near future.

The trays were lined with gorgeous baked goods with visibly crispy flakey layers! I always find it sooooo hard to make a selection of my baked good. I settled for a pastry cream filled empanada and a mini banana loaf. For coffee we ordered a chai and vanilla latte. The latte was served nice and hot and had the perfect amount of richness and sweetness to it. The chai was decent, and was warm and complimented the pastry well. Cream filled empanada was good and rich decadent custard filling. It was evident that the butter is the proper temperature and the dough is handled minimally due to the light and perfectly crispy, flaking layers noted. The banana bread and natural taste of banana which comes from proper ripening of the fruit giving its full flavor! The bread was adorned on top with crumbles of nuts. Service was great, the bakery was bustling and every table was filled both inside and out for a Tuesday afternoon. Will I return? STAWWWWWWWPPPPPP ASKING... I don't come enough....

No update in ratings/service needed... Still phenomenal…read more I just had to pop in and say how much I love and appreciate how friendly the staff is..... suuuper nice and it's a breath of fresh air. I waited longer than I should have for another visit but I was trying not to go overboard on bread/sweets... was waiting on the text (which they said they would) when Halo-Halo was back and they most certainly did that!!! Granted, it was after I saw an IG post that it was back, but they still went out of their way to text me too-- AND, they were there past closing time (after I got off work) so that my friends and I could go for the goods (Halo-Halo & some baked yums)... thank youuu! The Halo-Halo was perfection.

It's not hard to see and taste why Bread and Butter was voted the best bakery in 2025 by the Fresno Bee! We ordered the Bahug Bahug (bread pudding with Ube jam) and the Ensaimada bread and both were carb perfection. We especially appreciated that neither was overly sweet. We arrived a few minutes before closing and the owner was incredibly kind and treated us like we were her first customer of the day and she had all the time in the world for us...that is true customer service!! The owner also mentioned that they sell Filipino food on Saturdays, starting at noon. This is a grab and go place, with no seating inside. Looking forward to returning and trying more of their goodies and savory dishes!
