Okay so this is misleading -- yes, yes, it's a store, and it's quite the artsy one! But despite the categories listed here, this is a full-on restaurant too! My friends and I wanted something light, so despite all the online sources referring to it as a clothing store, we saw that they have food. When we arrived, we saw the clothes immediately, but there was also a full bar and menus for food. There was one open table up front, but then I walked to the back and saw that there were plenty more.
A staff member came by and led us to one and we got seated. I ordered the croquettes, which were filled with taro root & sausage. They were outstanding, period. The service was great and the lady checked in on us regularly. My friends enjoyed their empanadas and tacos, too. There are the more popular spots in Viejo San Juan indeed, but it is also full of hidden gems like this one. read more
