My partner passed this place when he had to detour due to some road closures and he craved pupusas every since so we had to try it. Originally we ordered online and paid and for whatever reason our order was canceled. I guess they were out of one of the items I ordered so when we got there we had to place our order again (they did call me and left a message but I assumed it was a spam call, so that's on me!). We ended up ordering 5 of the mixed pupusas and they were delicious and a pretty good size. It came with the shredded veggies and dipping salsa. They tasted freshly made and I was not disappointed. We took took to go and when we got back home on the NW side of OKC, they were still super hot, in a good way! I also ordered horchata, it was a little too sweet for me but I also haven't been doing much sugar so take that for what it is.

I absolutely hate leaving bad reviews. I really do. But I'm currently at this restaurant and have been sitting waiting for an hour for our food. At 1:31 we placed our orders (I know because I took a vid on insta of the menu at that time) and at this moment it is 2:31 and we're still waiting. No water was given, no asking if we wanted refills on our juices, no acknowledgement besides them dropping off my step-mom's fried yucca about 10 mins ago. Granted, the yucca tastes great, but this is ridiculous. At least tell us that it will take a while because you're busy or short handed or whatever, or offer water. WATER. At this point, my dad is ready to leave money on the table for the drinks and the one dish they delivered. Also, we've asked them for updates a couple of times, and all they say is "it's coming". No apology. --- Edit: so we got our food at about 2:40pm. The taste was really good for the pupusas, and the portions were really big! Such a shame we had to wait so long for them. My tamal came about 15 mins later, and that was underwhelming unfortunately. Maybe it's because I'm used to Mexican ones? Not sure, but it was pretty cheap so not a big deal. We did notice that a family who sat behind us 30 mins after we ordered got their food right after we got ours... So overall, even though the food was good, the lack of communication and service is a no for us. Just come expecting that, or order ahead for takeout and you should be fine though. I think we'll stick to that in the future since the pupusas were so good!

The lady working there was really nice. We had one of each pupusa, the chicken tamale, empanadas, and my friend had the steak meal. Each pupusa was huge, but very little filling and lots of meal. It needed salt or seasoning and was bland. The tamale was almost all corn and very little chicken and again very bland. The steak was okay but nothing spectacular.

Cute little pupusa place. Not only do they have tasty, fresh, and huge pupusas, they also have fried Yucca con Chicharron. Safe to say I was in heaven. And not to mention the different selection of aguas frescas it's not your regular quaint cup of refreshment either, they serve a a whole mug of the sweet Marañon drink. I went for the pupusas and will definitely be returning to try the rest of the dishes in this cute little hole in the wall.

The papusas were great. Also got plantains and horchata. It was all great. Wish there were more agua fresca options.

Great. Service is slow since they take a lot of car in making the food. I usually order to go and it is amazing. Love their pupusas

What can I say. It's all good and worth the time ! It's nothing fancy but that may be why we like it. Great food and very nice staff.

When I brought this up to them, they initially denied putting potatoes in them, and then the next time stated that that's the way they've always made them... I've never seen potatoes in pupusas prior to this. It was most likely a filler since cost, but they also raised the cost to almost double, and taste declined. 1/10 do not recommend. Best pupusas are at Mi Chalateca if that's why you're here.

A friend of mine recommended this place, and I've seen a few recipes of pupusas but never had them so I decided to try them before I tried my hand at making them. How do I describe these pupusas? They were like...these wonderful, corn based flat breads, with fillings of whatever your heart desires. I had the chicharron and queso (pork skin and cheese), and the queso and fajitas (cheese and beef). And ohmygod. So so good! My favorite was most definitely the queso and fajitas, but the chicharron had its own perk too. It also came with chips and queso, bean dip, salsa, and two different sauces. One was a hot sauce - which was terrific, not super spicy and hit the right flavor. And the other was tomato. Mix the queso and the hot sauce my friends - you will thank me later when the chip you eat is bathed in a glorious mix of the two. The pupusas also came along with this fermented cabbage relish which I found out was called curtido. And man. That relish...if I didn't stop myself I'd have heaps of it without a second thought. Anyway - all in all, fantastic service and even better food. Price is definitely affordable, so go on ahead and try this place out!

I tried all of their $1.50 street tacos, all heavy with meat, and a lil greasy in a good way. Aasada, al pastor, chicken, descada and chorizo. The latter two were my favorites -- stewed and off the chart flavorful. Al pastor was the next best, not as wet as some styles, and had good flavor. Chicken pulled, seasoned and pan crisped, tasty with their creamy green salsa. Carne asada was overflowing with meat, but it was a little grainy and were large round chunks, not like I'm used to. But it was super seasoned, on the salty side, still pretty tasty and super filling. I also had a very warm Champurrado, or Mexican hot chocolate. Great flavor, and perfect for a cold day. Cost was $2 served in a cute ceramic cup. Dining room is fairly clean, tables wiped, but the chairs are a bit stained and sticky. It is a bit of a hole in the wall, so expect very casual, fast casual counter service. Market has a lot of imported packaged goods, but they are priced a little high and thus sit on shelves a while. There is also another counter where they serve Mexican ice cream, popsicles and other snacks, along with a decently stocked panaderia case. I read some Google reviews, with comments about the two girls commonly working here and I think they're being targeted unfairly. Both were very friendly to us and helpful where they could be, but varied on their English ability. I was very impressed with the food so far, and I'll surely be back.
