3 new dishes that I love: Fried chicken salad. It has "San Jose" sauce that is a reddish-cheesy sauce that packs a punch of heat. I loved this salad! The fried chicken was just chicken tenders but the sauce was definitely the star of this dish. Will get again. Burrito Banderas: several kinds of meat with three sauces. It was terrific! Fajita taco salad: this thing is a monster! It has Queso cheese sauce, options for different kinds of meat, and all kinds of veggies. first time here traveling from Texas . we sat down for chips and salsa which I'd call marinara yes like perfect for cheese sticks dip or spaghetti. which is where it started I should have left and my husband asked I said let's give it a chance . we got fajitas which you can't mess up wasn't impressed I'd call it bland cafeteria food . my son got the dessert fried ice cream which was soggy mess covered in whip cream in a fried taco bowl. the woman's bathroom was worse than a gas station bathroom and I'm not talking about a buceees bathroom or loves bc they are clean ! this smelt like a broken sewer line . overall never going back and questioning Mexican food up in this area . so disappointed read more

We were on our road trip and since we love to drive around we ended up finding this place on Yelp in the very late night. They were almost closed so we didn't have time to look at the menu for a long time so we ordered whatever came out first on the menu. We had burrito in some white cheese sauce and tacos with shrimps in that same sauce. Overall not bad, it was tasty but nothing special. Shrimps were seasoned perfectly and cooked just as it should be. I love to find these kind of spots just out of the nowhere and I am glad we stopped by this place. I belive that there is much better options to try in here. Service was fast. He looked like he is in a rush and not very happy that we came in but I believe it was just the end of the day. Ambience was pretty nice. Restaurant was pretty full when we arrived and all seemed to have fun. Hope we will have some chances in the future to visit this place. read more

Went to the new location in Saint Joseph,Mo. on the North Belt. Is it a requirement to dislike helping the customer at this location? Waiter took the order and disappeared, never seen him again. Not one person came to the table and we had to find the manager on duty to get the check. Now I know why it was so dead in there at 1:40 on a Saturday afternoon. This review is on the newest restaurant and this was my second try so am being fair as I wrote the first time off as being newly opened. just ate there for second time, ordered chicken fajitas. they came on a dinner plate instead of the skillet with the side plate, which made them about half as much as they have served for years. I had taken about 3 bites and upon putting it into my mouth felt the hair. The waiter saw me pulling it out of my mouth (he was the person that ran the cash register) he came over I had the hair on my fork. hHe asked me if it is long hair I said yes, he then said we have no woman working in kitchen (a woman with long hair had just brought us our chips and dip and queso dip). I was only 3 bites in and he just walked off with his assumption that it was my hair. Watched daughter eat her meal as I was done except for a few pieces of chicken from my daughter. She had Poblano pasta. Pasta was very very runny. The chicken was Really good. Grandson ordered juice and it was soured orange juice. We paid and went on our way. Will continue eating at Mid Belt and South Belt but will not visit the new one again (which is annoying as I live in Savannah) read more

This establishment is definitely not trying stop the spread of coronavirus. We came late on a Monday night to a mostly empty restaurant. Staff set the very few guests in the restaurant right next to each other. When we politely asked to be seated further away because of COVID-19 concerns we were told by the host, "We're not required to seat guests 6ft apart and if you don't like it you can leave." Even though most of the restaurant was empty. The other staff seemed to look at us like they agreed and management didn't give a damn. Also, half the staff were wearing masks down around their chins. The food was good, but the service was lacking. Our son is Type 1 Diabetic and ordered Diet Coke, which he was given. When the waitress brought out a refill she gave him root beer. He realized immediately that he couldn't drink it and we flagged the waitress over. We explained that he was diabetic and could not drink the root beer that she brought him. We explained to her he had to have diet soda. She apologized and replaced his drink, WITH ROOT BEER!!! One mistake is understandable, but after we told her our son was diabetic, to bring a second regular soda is not acceptable. Thank God we realized immediately that it was regular soda both times! In hindsight we should have asked for a manager because had my son drank the root beer he would be in the hospital with diabetic ketoacidosis. read more

We were eating our chips and salsa and suddenly a bug appeared in the chips. It was a small bug and I don't think it was a roach. Quit eating chips! We had our dinner, it was just OK, much like all other Mexican food in the area. Certainly nothing distinguishing itself as something better. Anyway, as I was leaving, I told the manager about the bug to give him a heads up. He totally dismissed the situation as nothing to be concerned about. I don't agree and won't go back. read more

Visited this establishment tonight with my family all for a huge black hair to be wrapped around the chicken inside my taco. I saved the hair for proof, showed the manager, requested new food & dropped the hair. He then told me he needed the strand to go back to show the cooks which I didn't have because I ALREADY showed it to him. That became a problem & he acted like I was at fault so we gave up & left. Tried for the first time yesterday. Ordered a combination plate, had to send it back, the food was not even warm. Got the second plate and the cheese enchilada had virtually no cheese in it, but I found a little bit of white cheese floating out in the Campbells tomato soup sauce it was covered in. The chili relleno had the skin on the chili and you could barely cut it with a knife. It was also covered in some tomato sauce, nothing that tasted remotely Mexican. The chicken taco had what tasted like boiled chicken with no seasoning whatsoever and it was topped with a little goat cheese that also had no flavor. I liked the thin crispy chips, that's about all. The dining room has open shelves filled with supplies on each side and a lovely view of stacked cases of beer leading into the kitchen. read more

I usually like these Mexican chains. But I will NEVER eat at this location again. My husband and I went in for lunch, half way through my chimichga there was a hair. Told our waiter he didn't seem to care. Told me to let the manager know. So proceeded to tell manager he said "it could not have been one of their hairs" In so many words tried to say it was mine. I don't put hair in my food to get out of paying. Wasn't necessarily looking for a discount but an apology would have been nice. 2 thumbs down!!! read more

This place has really made some changes. In the past it has been a favorite of mine, but just recently after waiting for 2 hours for a table, i was sitting by the bar and a booth became available so i went to sit down and the waitress came up to me screaming at me telling me i was not able to sit in her secition, my money was not good and she didnt need it, told me that i needed to leave.
