During the Christmas time they have a time when you can order authentic hondurian tamales for Christmas. These tamales are very juicy tasty and filling. They cost $4 each and are worth getting due to the size. We always get at least 20 tamales for the Christmas season and the owner is happy to do our order. She is very friendly and has know us for many years even if we knly see her once a year. This time we sat down to order some food. I got a classic Pollo Chuco (Dirty Chicken) which is fried plantains, fried chicken, cabbage or cold slaw, a ketchup mayo combo sauce drizzled on top with pickled onions (which i asked without since i dont enjoy onions). The chicken was seasoned perfectly and the plantains were crispy and salty. I have to get this item again as it is delicious. The place was clean and empty as we went early. A little cramped but not bad.

The fried plantains helped a lot on masking the dryness and yuckiness of this meal . This was certainly not worthy of the calorie intake at all. I've had this same meal at other Ecuadorian restaurants and this was easily the worst . The portion size was huge though if that matters . It's amazing how many people I saw coming in and getting food while waiting for my order . Maybe I'm in the minority but I swear my experience was a waste of 20+ dollars .

Upon entering I am greeted with the beautiful Panamanian flag and art from Panama which is amazing. I wasn't expecting what I got. The lone Bartender/Server spoke ONLY Spanish! The two patrons my friend and I met at the bar spoke ONLY Spanish! Yikes! But I got this, I'm on day 1339 of my Spanish lessons on Duolingo. We chose a table and staff appeared with "hola ¿dudyehr ducrcyd lbbeu icttcne? Shamefully, that's what I heard. My Duolingo failed me. I responded "Can you speak S L O W L Y". She shook her head confused and then she pulled out her phone. And that's how we communicated.
