So when it came to picking out a band for my own wedding, it was top priority. Hip Pocket Orchestra delivered more than we could have imagined. They brought high energy and kept our guests on the dance floor all night. It truly felt like HPO was part of our family. They were very fun, personable, and easy to work with. We spoke with the lead singer a few times leading up to the wedding and they took every request of ours. All our guests raved about the band and still do. The best compliment we received was from a guest who is a professional musician. He said HPO is by far the best wedding band he's heard. They can sing many different genres and were on top of their game for every song.

The only thing I regret is not having more time in the night to sing and dance with the band, they were so good. Day-of, the main singer took the time to introduce himself to us, which we really appreciated. They took our song preferences into consideration and kept the dance floor full all night! Everyone loved them so much that, at the end of the night, a "one more song" chant started and Clique obliged! Our guests kept telling us how great the band was and that it was like they were at a concert. Lastly, they were extremely accommodating when we had to postpone from 2021 to 2022. We are SO happy we had them join us for our special day!

Frank is a consummate professional; from my first contact with him he was straightforward, flexible, and always reliable. He is also incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. He made me a great deal when I booked with him for my wedding ceremony in addition to the reception, and he and his band learned several new songs for my event (every one that I asked about). The experienced and talented musicians of Center Stage also know how to get the party started. One of my great fears for our wedding (a common one, I know) is that the dance floor would be empty and awkward. We've all seen it happen. My fears were entirely unfounded, as the dance floor was busy the ENTIRE night. The music was a fun mix that appealed to a wide audience, and the band did a fantastic job of reading the crowd. My new husband and I could not be happier that we booked with Frank and Center Stage, and the next time I need a band, he will definitely be my first call.

Not only are they extremely talented musicians, but they are extremely professional and easy going. Frank, the band leader, was just outstanding to work with. Our venue was a little tricky because they had to move locations a couple of times during the course of the event, but they did so seamlessly. They played a good mix of classic Motown, rock and pop songs and had everyone dancing all night. Essentially they were a huge treat for everyone. They were able to accommodate songs we wanted for our first dance and processional song and played a mean Hava Nagila (great job!!). Some of our guests were also musicians and they were more then happy to let them play with them- such a special gesture. All in all we were extremely satisfied with Center Stage. We had a blast with them and they really rocked out!!!

In addition to telling us that we shouldn't have canceled our wedding & that we made the wrong decision (which is always nice to hear when you've had to cancel your wedding because of a global pandemic) - he claims Covid is not a real thing & "the truth will soon be revealed."  I literally cannot make this up & would be happy to share additional detail if helpful. This should serve as a warning to anyone considering working with Stephen ---- DO NOT. March 2020 - Original contact with the band/Stephen for our late August 2020 wedding. As covid had already exploded, part of our contract was a clause (exact text: "In the event the date needs to be rescheduled due to corona virus, the full deposit amount will be transferred to a new date in which the band is available. If the Purchaser chooses a date that Brandy is not available, the full deposit ($2,000) will be refunded".) July 2020 - inform Stephen that we'll be unable to have our wedding in Aug 2020 & that it's been rescheduled to the same weekend in 2021. Stephen sends a new contract omitting our covid clause AND upping the price of the performance!  After many back & forths - Stephen finally agrees to stand up to what the contract says & rescheduled the performance for the agreed upon price, WITH the covid clause. painful. Late Feb 2021 - We write & call to inform Stephen that due to Covid uncertainty - we will be canceling our plans for August 2021 & will be having a small family only mini-wedding in Boston in March. Due to this - I ask for our deposit back. -- Stephen claims that we're not due the deposit back because we picked a date that they cannot perform. The reason they could not perform was because the Massachusetts State Govt was not allowing more than 10 people to gather indoors, nor permitting any live music performances at the time (mid March 2020). -- Stephen also calls our original venue behind our back to check if we really cancelled. -- Stephen claims we're "using covid as an excuse to get a refund." -- Stephen claims that WE are breaching the contract. -- Stephen asks us to change our wedding day... literally, he says we should have the wedding in May since that's when indoor venues can open & this way they can perform. ***note; I would be happy to share these emails with anyone... you literally cannot make this stuff up ! ! ! March 17 - We finally get $1500 of the $2000 deposit back. Note the 1 month turn around, and likely ~ 5 hours in total arguing on the phone with him...painful. -- Stephen claims: - No other weddings canceled - People have 'the time of their life not wearing masks & feeling free." - That we 'jumped the gun on canceling our wedding' - 'All of the corruption going on will be revealed and the truth will come out" I'll leave it to you to form your own conclusion - but if you can.... RUN.It's a shame because the band looks great (...unfortunately it wouldn't surprise me if the band doesn't even know this saga existed). Fortunately this is the ONLY $ we lost on the wedding. I say that only to highlight the fact of how great everyone else was to work with & how immediately they offered to refund given the unprecedented times (our venue even encouraged Stephen to do the same!).Poor form, Stephen.  Poor form.

What makes a great wedding? My wife and I made a long list of what we wanted our wedding to be and…read moreone thing that was at the top of our list was a GREAT PARTY. One thing that directly impacted that would be the DJ we chose. We went through tons of DJ's (there are a lot out there) and each one said "we will play good music!" Great, but until you have seen the DJ in action it is actually pretty hard to decide. I went to a wedding where the couple said their cousin is a DJ. That cousin was a person playing music from their phone. Plugged into a soundbar. From Pandora. With commercials. By the way, get Geico if you want to save 15%. In any case, my wife and I relied heavily on reviews to discern the difference. Reviews for All That Events were great and after a talk with Zeke, we decided to go ahead with him. He worked through the process with us, we gave him our do not play list and a few songs that were must plays. Then the rest was up to him. We got distracted with TONS of other things and then it was our wedding day. Zeke showed up early and set up. Fast forward to the reason you are here, the party. When I say that Zeke laid the groundwork for a great night, that's an understatement. Seeing your 85 year young Grandma-in-law gyrating on the dance floor to Swedish House Mafia, Priceless. Zeke did an amazing job of feathering the slower/classical music in the beginning of the night and transitioned to faster paced and fostered such a great party. Glow sticks were a flying, grandma's were a gyrating, and there hardly was anyone sitting. I don't like to endorse anything/anyone who I don't fully believe in. I don't write many reviews. When I choose to write a review, I do so because I hope my review can help out someone else navigating the Atlantic sized pool of vendors. You will not be disappointed with Zeke and All That Events and hopefully this makes your wedding planning a bit easier. Thanks again Zeke (sorry it took so long for me to write a review!)
