We were one of only a few tables for a Wednesday evening, but it's not because the place doesn't deserve more business. An added plus, they were open a little later than many german restaraunts. We seated at around 8:00, and there was another couple that came in near the end of our meal. We stuck mostly to the traditional tapas menu, for diet reasons, but they were quite good. They brought out bread with what I think was an herby aioli, very yummy. The chorizo was nicely cooked in a wine sauce. We ordered the potatoes expecting something more like patatas bravas. Instead we got a small plate of baby baked potatoes along with a few sauces. If you like spicy sauce, it was tomato based and so flavorful. Everything else was fine. Not amazing or innovative but definitely solid. The service was awesome. The server spoke very little english, but made up for it with energy and personality. He would not stop bringing the delicious bread and aioli though I begged him not to. He had a few nice recommendations which we were happy to oblige. At the end he sweetly got my pregnant wife an alcohol free nightcap to accompany mine, on the house. A delightful evening.

TAPAS FOR DAYSSS! So much food.. and I LOVE IT!…read more I heard about Sa Finca through a few Yelpers, so I knew I wanted to check it out. I mentioned it to a friend, and she was thrilled, saying it she had been there before and it's delicious. Excited to hear the good news, we decided to go there for dinner during the work week. So glad we made reservations, even though it was a Wednesday evening when we went. This place is huge! But despite all the seating available, most of the tables had a "reserved sign." This place gets packed, so either come early or make sure to have a reservation. We were focused on tapas, so I didn't even check out the other items.. but their menu was quite large! We got two different mixed tapas plates; one focusing on meat and the other focusing on seafood. Both were huge! A little flavor of everything for everyone. In addition to this, we also got a patatas bravas (little fried potatoes served with a lightly zesty aioli), and bacon-wrapped dates (my fav!). The flavors were great! Authentic, flavorful, and not just filled with fried things or overly salty items! If you're unfamiliar with tapas, the variety platter is a great way to try a bit of everything! For dessert, we shared a Spanish version of creme brulee'.. nothing too special with this.. All this, plus drinks were 50€. Great deal, lots of food, fun environment, and attentive service! Love this place!

There's also traditional main-course items here - I've yet to try these out but they look quite good on other people's tables. Be sure to make a reservation if you're coming in on a weekend night. Just a short walk from Bonn Beuel station and Konrad Adenauer-Platz.

Even though it is a small restaurant (with a lovely outdoor sitting area), you never feel packed inside even when the place is full. The decoration is simple and nice. The staff is always attentive, friendly and fast. Plus, almost every staff member speaks English. I overheard that some even speak Spanish, or try to speak the language at least. :) In terms of food, only a few of the tapas selections are mediocre (like pollo al ajillo and muslitos del mar). I am not a big fan of La Loca's mixed platters, either. Yet, the rest, especially some meat products like meatballs in tomato sauce or honey-glazed chorizo or vegetarian options like espinacas gratinadas, are really of high quality. The quality is very consistent, too; the taste and quality of the food has always been high for the past two years since I first visited La Loca. They also serve other meat and fish products and paella but I have never tasted them so far. The prices are reasonable, too. I cannot say the food and drinks are cheap, but they are not expensive either, considering the quality of the food and service you get in a very central location. Overall, as I pointed earlier, La Loca is the best spot to have tapas in Bonn. I am sure you will not regret to visit, especially if you are sick and tired of burned, overcooked, oversalted or artificial stuff served in the name of tapas in many other place in Bonn.
