Food: We've tried a couple of dishes ranging from super delicious to pretty much run of the mill. Best ones for us was the leche de tigre nikkei ceviche and the iberico niguiri. The ceviche amazed with so many flavours and a delicate freshness and texture and the niguiri ibero just for its classical sushi style and yet unusual meaty taste combined with a yummy sauce. The two, three other dishes were more a matter of taste. Service and bill: Concerning the service the staff was very friendly and funny but a bit inattentive (didn't change plates full of sauce, chop sticks, cutlery). The bill contained the so called "pan y servicio" which is nothing else but a fee for the service. The served bread we gave back. Normally you are not being charged with anything like that eg in Granada or you can take it off the bill but in this case the waiters insisted to leave 2€ for two people "servicio" and explained it by saying that it's common everywhere in Andalucia. That's simply not true!

There were many families that got to dine here and it was a really good rest after a whole day walking around Seville. The bathrooms are very small and there's no changing station for babies, something to note for young families this will be a struggle when I came her with my 6 month old. Service was a little slow but we didn't mind so much as we had a baby and senior in our group. Dock a rating down because with all the food we ordered, we still left the restaurant hungry but didn't want to spend anymore than we already had for 3 adults. The portions are very small.

The menu is limited and the food quality has declined tremendously. Of course I found a hair in the food which was the icing on the cake. The waiter comped the dish but didn't apologize or anything. The bar is limited now, not like before. I won't be coming back to and it's unfortunate.

The waiters were extremely friendly too. At the outset, I was a bit worried about their vegetarian options, but the head waiter announced the specials to the entire room, and there were a few dishes that were veggie friendly. They turned out to be delicious. My favorite was an asparagus au gratin, which was maybe the most tender asparagus I have ever had in my life. There was also a really tasty cauliflower special. My husband got a tuna tartar taco special which he loved. On top of all of that, the prices were VERY reasonable, especially for such a pleasant and delicious experience. Thanks so much, La Chalá! I would highly recommend you to anybody else in the area.
