Love this place! I'm surprised I have not wrote review till now…read more Wonderful location, open air and water view - doesn't get any better than this. Excellent selection of beers on tap - had local amber IPA and wheat beers - perfectly weather appropriate and refreshing. Never had clam chowder there before - it was very good. Denser than I would like, but still perfectly on point in terms of taste. Had shrimp tacos as my main course - superb. Excellent service - prompt, friendly, attentive, with a smile. Most highly recommended.

It's laid-back, breezy, and has that quintessential Florida waterfront atmosphere that makes you want to stay for one more drink... and probably one more round of food. We started with the fish dip and oysters. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. For my drink, I went with the coconut piña coladaz. It was absolutely delicious .. frozen, creamy, tropical, and incredibly refreshing. Basically vacation in a glass. For my main, I ordered the coconut crusted grouper tacos, because apparently I wasn't done with the coconut theme yet. The grouper was delicious, and the coconut crust added the perfect touch of flavor and texture. Everyone else at the table was equally happy with their choices. My brother got the whole fried snapper, which he shared with his wife, and they both loved it. My sister ordered the fish and chips, which she also absolutely raved about. Overall, Dixie Fish Co. checks all the boxes.

OOPS, I did it again. I ordered the oysters. Darn fine oysters. For my main, I ordered their Gumbo. The Gumbo is unusual in that there was no shrimp or fish, just sausage. It was delicious. Mrs. K. ordered a fish sandwich; she did not eat it. She said it had an extreme fishy taste. I was asked to taste it; I declined. I did smell it; it smelled fishy. Cod should not present a problem.

I also ordered hog fish * a Fl delicacy described as follows: Considered superior in taste and texture, often marketed as the "filet mignon of the sea". Well folks I was served tilapia and charged $28 for a $7 dollar dish. I hope the owner is reading this because you know it's dead wrong. I questioned the waitress Staci because I know this was bogus. Not her fault she does not run the kitchen. I did tell her I planned on reviewing the experience...... after 2 bites I took the food to go so I could prove that they knowingly price gouge customers. I was shocked to learn that misrepresenting fish in FL is considered a food violation and a finable offense....now i have evidence so let's see where this goes. Anyway guys when you go to Salty Papa order chicken wings and cheap drinks others they will try to scam you. See pics of tilapia vs their hogfish *same cheap fish. Also adding pics of real delicacy. This place is a fraud. Owner left a very aggressive response. Not sure why when you got your $28 and I left my phone number. No need to be Sassy if you are really customer satisfaction tag you're it. Enjoy your weekend!

Maybe it's hubs' military background, but the man is all about strategy. His game plan was to…read morefigure out the perfect dinner spot where we could catch an epic Sanibel sunset, then still have enough time to roll over for a hallmark view of the July 4th fireworks. Mission accomplished. Lighthouse Waterfront is huge with a big dining rm on one side and another section closer to the left overlooking the outdoor deck sitting right on the water. If you're chasing sunset vibes, this deck is where it's at. We started with a dozen meaty oysters and a hot crab dip with crispy wontons to dip. For our main plates, hubs ordered the thick-cut bone-in pork chop and loved it while I went with the seasoned grilled swordfish. I had the Dubai Chocolate cocktail and I'll give them props for that pistachio rim and the dark chocolate drizzle.....that Hershey's syrup crap. The only downside was it could've packed a punch. But then again- between my recent trip to Miami/Ft Lauderdale and now Sanibel...I haven't had a drink that would know the shit out me here. No offense. Anyhow, to wrap things up, we shared a slice of key lime pie. That's basically mandatory when you're down here. It was good, but honestly, the real treat was watching that Sanibel sunset. Service was ok- I just wished our young server was more present. On the plus side, when he'd showed up, he made sure to help at any given moment. We finished dinner, headed out to the deck and soaked in every second of the sunset before making our way to catch the fireworks elsewhere.

So very disappointed. This used to be our favorite place to bring out of town guests. Not…read moreanymore. Where to start. 1)Our servers were amazing. 2) Drinks - pathetic. $16.00 for a lime martini that tasted like a melted popsicle and was a total of 6 oz. Tasted no alcohol. 3) crab dip a 3 inch skillet of carb dip with 10 small pita chips. No taste at all and $19.00. 4) shrimp with garlic and butter over linguini - it was basically pho soup. $28.00. 5) and the best of all. Lobster Mac n cheese. It was macaroni with (I kid you not) seafood bisque over top and a small ramekin of Parmesan cheese $50.00. The man playing music (nice island vibe) in the corner was so loud I could not hear my husband across the table. In fact most asked to move to the other side but it was closed off or outside because it was so loud. Did I mention it was 95 degrees. 5 or so parties were seated after us, and while we were not at all in a hurry, every one of them received their meals prior to us and left before we received our food. Our server felt bad so she offered us some bread for the extra wait. (Shouldn't that be standard). We didn't complain and paid the over $150.00 bill plus a nice tip and the 3% charge for using a card. No manager came to ask how the meal was and at this point we were over it. Asked for a take home box and left. I can also tell you the menu was extremely limited. No crab dishes, no scallop dishes? A seafood restaurant not anymore? What happened? New management, owners? And yes we've been there since IAN so can't blame the hurricane. We will only visit Lobster Lady from now on. I sound like I just want to complain but I don't. I know it's off season and don't ever expect perfection. This was worse than horrible. Beware. It's not what it once was. Sadly! Sorry no pictures mostly out of shock but the water feature that used to be so picturesque outside was green algae.

Great spot in Fort Myers for family dinner!…read more Our server Austin was great and the ambiance was nice, live music on Saturday night is always a vibe. I tried the shrimp scampi and Tuna Tutaki off the summer deal menu Tuna Tutaki is the same size as if you ordered it off the regular menu, same as the scampi huge portion. We also ordered the Grouper Oscar which was delicious if we're being picky it could of had more sauce. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was their skinny margarita and that's just based off my flavor preference. For dessert The Tower Carrot Cake is equivalent to 3 or 4 big slices, definitely shareable. The Famous Key Lime pie was also amazing but not shareable, it's smaller and so good you'll want it all to yourself! Cheers!

They were backed so we still had to wait for a table but it was a holiday so I don't really hold that against them, just noting. Do note that most parking is valet (complimentary). My husband and I split oysters and the Captains Platter. Captains Platter was tasty but for $40+ - I think they could've given a larger portion of at least the veggie sides. Restaurants who skimp on these always blow my mind, Brussels sprouts are so cheap! What we did have was just ok. Sprouts were soggy and bitter, only a few scallops, but the fish was good. I actually liked the plantains a lot! Our server was fabulous and we did need some help from one of the managers who was also great. It is quite a loud restaurant but again it was packed. Overall, I just wasn't excited about anything we had, and thought the prices were high for the quality. With all the seafood in this area, it would be hard to return here.
