I must concur with the other reviews- this restaurant is a great find! So....I, unfortunately, am not yet familiar with Guatemalan cuisine enough to remember the names of what we ate - I apologize so much! I can confirm everything we ate was fresh, delicious, and definitely unique from any of the other South-of-the-border meals around. Friends we had dinner with love it so much, they've eaten here twice in one week (& it's a 20-minute drive from home)

Quality chips and salsa! Tons of salsa chooses as well.

Absolutely delicious. Very unique and large menu. I had the papusas. Spelling on that is Probably a trainwreck, but the papusas were delicious. Definitely an authentic hole in the wall, and different from your average everyday Mexican restaurants. We were in town for the US Open, great to find the lil gem.

The Churrasquito Chapin was great. It was fun for the kids, too - lots of interesting snacks and candy (and a cool bar).

I highly recommend this new establishment to our community. The authentic family- run Guatamalan restaurant is friendly and inviting the moment walk in. The soup is excellent. The chicken bone flavor is perfectly infused with its contents of squash, celery, and carrots. The chicken is moistly wrapped with its crispy skin. The flavor profile was slightly bland but was expressed with their homemade sauces from their condiment bar. Although the steak looks dry, it was flavorful and fragrant. All the sides are perfect. Definitely a jewel!

This hidden little gem is one of the best places in Aberdeen! Welcoming to all service is quick and efficient. Food is absolutely fresh and incredible! Feel free to sit outside or inside here both are great!

This place has become a favorite for my family. Their mango margaritas are phenomenal. Instead of water down juice and tequila, it tastes like it has the Jumex mango nectar in it which elevates those mango flavors! I love getting the fried fish and trying it with the different salsas. Their pupusas are also delicious. If I could live on those pupusas and mango margs, I probably would. The service is excellent and they always answer all of us questions. If you want a laid back experience that goes beyond the usual tacos and margs, this place is it!

An amazing chicken lunch for $12.95. It was so good I ordered two for dinner.

Yum is the best way to describe this food. The restaurant is nicely decorated and very clean. The wait staff are beyond helpful! This is a must try restaurant you won't be disappointed. My one year-old grandson has extreme food allergies. He was able to eat several different items because they don't use peanut oil, eggs or cashews. He received fresh fruit with his kids $4.99 meal. I'm thinking of going back later on this week

To start....absolutely delicious! What a great restaurant this is; friendly welcoming family atmosphere and incredible authentic Guatemalan food! We were unfamiliar with Guatemalan cuisine but it's absolutely delicious. Our server was extremely helpful in explaining the different dishes and ultimately making a recommendation. Be sure to come hungry, you'll be well fed and have food to take home. Save room the homemade desserts! The churros were a delicious and perfect end to the meal. We'll definitely be back soon and I highly recommend this little hidden gem!

We stopped at the bar before doing the tour. Hanna was amazing. Her drinks were so good. The cocktails are incredible and tasty. We did the tour with Renia and were totally inspired. She told us not only how bourbon is made but the stories behind them. Incredible. Hung out for lunch. Really good! Had the chicken sandwich and smash. Really well made. Everything is fresh and tasty.

FANTASTIC experience! My favorite Distillery visit yet - GREAT backstory of the founders, very…read moregood liquid, wonderful atmosphere and incredibly supportive of our troops. It's something else - and much larger than I expected for such a young distillery. I've been to 33 distilleries and have only rated 5 of them a 5.0. HISTORY - I learned so much about the history of making this distillery a reality which came from the history of the Husband/Wife team who founded it: Brad & Jessica Halling. Too much to include in this review but Google them. Brad Halling is was part of the events in the movie Black Hawk Down & Jessica Halling was the Army Judge Advocate and retired as a Colonel just to start the story with... AMBIANCE - Gloriously appointed buildings with wonderful military nods everywhere you look without being gaudy - incredibly artfully worked w/ wonderful symbolism, very comfortable inside as well. TASTING - on the tour, you get to taste 4 liquids in a special room with great literature commemorating something military (Battle of Mogadishu on my visit). Liquids were: Sergeant's Valor Select Bourbon, Sergeant's Valor Select Rye, Madam Colonel Gin and Madam Colonel Pistachio Bourbon Cream. All were unique and very tasty. LIQUID - I loved what I tried - I did also go to the bar and order the ($40 a pour) and it was absolutely delicious! * Sergeant's Valor Select Bourbon - 93 proof, this is a 3 bourbon blend with some corn sweetness and a nice nose w/ some dark chocolate & cherry. Tasted balanced and rounded character w/ some very light oak and chocolate. * Sergeant's Valor Select Rye - 93 proof, I loved this rye - even at 95% rye bill, it wasn't too spicy for me, it tasted dark, fully balanced and tasty with more of the pepper spice than anything else with some toasted oak flavors * Madam Colonel Gin - 80 proof, unique gin for sure - less on the juniper than lots of gins for sure, this gin highlighted citrus (orange peel) * Madam Colonel Pistachio Bourbon Cream - 40 proof, very tasty and my first Pistachio bourbon cream I've ever had. The nut flavor was slightly present but not overwhelming - easy to drink on it's own and probably fantastic in coffee or hot chocolate * Sergeant's Valor Gratitude (Super 62) - 106 proof, special blend I don't recall but very balanced, smooth and tasty with hints of oak and corn sweetness TOUR - the tour is $26 a person and lasts just shy of a full hour, and I had the fortune to have KATE as my tour guide. She was engaging, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable - her love for her workplace and the founders was evident. Absolutely a fantastic tour with her at the helm and I learned so much about Brad & Jessica which really helped the experience. You also get a custom rocks glass after your tasting which is not available for sale - you can only get the glass on the tour! Finally, I felt honored just to be here so close to Ft Bragg in the presence of 2 true American Heros, and during the tour we were outside when 2 military choppers literally flew overhead, almost as if it was planned (it wasn't). I got chills. Fantastic visit and I highly recommend when in the Southern Pines/Pinehurst area, to visit this fine place!
