Stayed a week last week and had a wonderful time and brought our grandson who as well loved the rope swing . Great music on Sunday afternoon while floating in pool and enjoying the swim up bar . No need to carry a cc as your fist and is what you pay with . On another note the wibit for bigger kids or adults is nasty and I'm sorry I have to say it but man it was nasty . We were not about to get or expose our grandson to the water as it looks like they out the blue chemical in it like a port a potty . There is no running water to filter it from what we could see . The kids wibit was in a Pool and very clean but only for small kids . The 2 slides are also in the pool area with the wibit . For the food from Chester's I give it a thumbs UP and the burger was awesome . They could use security around the camping areas as a kid is going to get hurt . Kids driving golf carts way too fast and their electric scooters and bikes . Kids throwing balls which 1 hit our truck but luckily didn't dent it . The camping sites are very clean and all concrete plus full hookups . We will be back just wish they would fix a couple if these issues listed above . What a disappointment. We called ahead to see if all amenities were functioning and they said - absolutely! We based our decision to stop off of that information. Even at check-in, they didn't mention any of this. Well, we get there and head to the grill because we were famished and ready for a burger, walk in and were told they only had one cook and they had a limited menu: chicken strips, wings and pizza. Not what we expected when the menu online had much more of a selection. It was basically a kids menu. So, we had no choice but order what they had. A corn dog, wings and chicken tenders. Gross, gross and gross. Undercooked corn dog, dry wings and processed chicken strips. The swim up bar was closed. The snack shack was closed. The slides were closed. Kids in the hot tub (which is clearly marked no one under 18 in the hot tub). One trash can for the whole area. Water was clean enough and drinks were okay, nothing special. Everyone was nice, but the person on the phone clearly should have told us what we were walking into. They put us in the spot right next to the playground area. We called and asked if the lights were on all night and how bright they were. Yes, on all night and no, not bright, was the answer. Good thing we requested to move because those lights were incredibly bright! Even from four spots down! Sunset was nice. Park is clean and maybe it's fun when they are at full capacity and everything is open and functioning, but it was less than stellar of an experience. Limited on pretty much everything. No maps with park info or anything. We tried to make the best of it, but not what we expected at all. Pretty bummed about the whole experience. Front desk needs to up their game and offer accurate information so campers know what to expect. Should've left when they said they didn't have any maps or info about the park. read more

The pool area was surrounded by cabanas and areas to buy drinks there were live bands as well. My hubby and I were quite impressed with this resort! Attended during a benefit BBQ competition for Vets w PTSD. They raised more than 50k in auctions alone plus the owner bid and just donated two things back. Really nice family and event. RV: Family owned resort in a small ranching town. Spacious even pull through spot, nice picnic table w FHU 50/30. Trash service in the AM. Felt very safe there. Pool: Laid back pool resort environment with $6ish beers at swim up bar .. seems spendy but considering operating costs of a gorgeous pool like that .. I get it. Water is warm and fire pit for night. Rope swing, splash pad and slide. Even a belly flop competition. So many of these places have resort fees per person, not here. Lazy River with tubes included although it seemed like you could bring your own floatie. Security check point at pool entrance so no bringing in a cooler or booze. Other: Wibit open Saturdays only. There was an arcade, nice gym and showers. The best was we had the national anthem, pledge of allegiance and a prayer during the day ... it was nice to see national pride! Waited a couple days after our stay to write this review. This is a nice park to stay. Big, level concrete spots. Plenty of room to maneuver and set up. We enjoyed the pool that was open, the activities for kids, and camper treating Saturday night. Our grandchildren had a good time. However we learned upon arrival that the Wibit area was closed seasonally. The restaurant was only open for Saturday and I would bring your own food. It's priced for convenience not for quality. Almost everything is priced with a fee for convenience. I get it. We all want to make money. However we felt that Lost Lagoon was over priced for what we got. Several people I talked to were also disappointed in the facility. They agreed the pictures are very misleading and the landing page should clearly state what's open and when. read more

The only reason they are getting 2 stars from me is because the pool was great. We stayed in a cabin that was suppose to have internet and cable and we didn't get either. I talked to the staff and they said if we wanted internet or cable we had to purchase a premium internet package. As soon as we got to the cabin to start making food we realized we were not the only one's staying in our cabin. FLYS! BITING FLIES!! You can't go outside or in your cabin without being swarmed by flies. When I asked a member of the staff he said their was nothing they could do about the flies and the only option was to "go to California" (rude) we ended up going to Walmart and getting fly traps but they were not enough. The bar at the pool was covered with flies as well. I don't know how the health department hasn't gotten involved yet. Thcabin was nice but for the price we paid I rather go to a waterpark and not have bites all over myself and family when we leave. Update: I spoke to the front desk about the flies and the man that told us to go to California if we didn't like the flies. They said they would talk to the owners about getting a credit for a future stay and I have heard back from them 0 times. I have tried to follow up 2 times and I am now fed up with this place. If you don't want to be covered in flies at your cabin or rv site then chose another place. I will not be recommending this place to anyone. read more

This is a good place to take your kids. We went on a summer weekend and the place was full of them! Lots of things for them to do. The pool and lazy river are great. The inflatable area is extra - I think it's $20 per day per kid. Our 15 year olds had fun but it only entertained them for a while. Much better for younger kids. And It's only open on the weekends. There are slides and a rope swing that will entertain them at the pool. There are chairs with umbrellas in the pool where you can grab some shade. As with any other public pool, you know you are swimming in everyone's pee because you didn't see anyone leaving to use the restrooms!!! And there were SO many people in the pool!!! The prices at the pool bar are absolutely ridiculous!! And the only thing you can bring in is water - they check your bags as you enter. And they need more staff on a weekend. My husband had to wait almost 20 minutes to get a couple drinks. The food at the little restaurant is meh - it's typical burgers and chicken strips. Our fries were stone cold when we got our food. We brought our dogs and didn't see any trash/poop bag stations like we have found in other RV resorts. Thank goodness we had brought our own bags from home. The WiFi is not good at all. I'm sure it was because so many people were there and using a lot of bandwidth. But we couldn't even get our TVs (we use fire sticks) on it. We had to use our phones hotspot. Very disappointing. Overall, a good place to bring your kids. It's pretty pricey from the slip costs, pool bar and restaurant. We may try it again when it's not summertime since the Saturday we were there probably had 250 people at any given time in the pool. read more

EXPENSIVE and GROSS! The pool is cloudy, the lazy river is the color of pee. The long slide by the stage will take skin off. You can't take your own drinks in or out (including kid cups or water), The drinks are expensive. And if you purchase drinks at the pool, you can't take it back to your camper!? I don't get that. It's sooo hot out here because they don't know how to plant trees. The old guy going through bags at the pool is rude. You can charge whatever you want, but as soon as you start nickel and diming people over food and drinks... you have lost my vote. Great place, wonderful pool along with everything that goes along with a camping weekend. Very clean, everyone so nice and helpful. Most importantly to start the day, a prayer is said, following with our Pledge to our flag, and then National anthem. Everyone stood, hand over their hearts! All was great. We used the facility as a evacuation site. When inquire about true paid charges and discount since we got good sam membership, though they didn't have good sam discount, they did though offer us a discount anyway because of evacuees status due to hurricane Ida. Not sure if the owner actually live on the site but he did often come and check around the campground. He was pretty nice and considered. Amenities wise: all was great, we didn't get to go on the obstacle course wibit since it was close during the weekdays, but the pool was nice, not the biggest but it was a nice size. The kiddie lagoon was very much enjoyable for our kids as well as the lazy River. My hubby and son loved the rope swing into the pool. Not I, not that daring but they sure had fun with it. read more

We stayed here this past week and thought this place was just ok. The pool was really great but it got pretty packed on the weekend and it felt weird being so close to so many people in a pool. The lazy river was a nice touch. I think my biggest complaint was the alcohol situation. There is a guy checking bags to get into the pool area, which I perfectly understand because of TABC. I don't like not being able to bring a small cooler bag with water and drinks for the kids. I also was not able to have my own personal supply of beer to avoid the exorbitant resort prices they were charging for alcohol. I find it very hard (morally) to shell out $6 or $7 for a beer and $10+ for a cocktail. There also seemed to be a lack of shade anywhere in the entire place. We did not even go to the playground with the kids because there is no shade anywhere, just open sun. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They offer propane refill too which is a plus. My 5 yr old son loved fishing in the canal and caught two bass. Overall it was a good place to try but not somewhere I'd keep coming back to. read more

Loved the park, but our family of 10 couldn't all attend. The have a 8 limit person per site and two of our kids are married so they're spouses wouldn't have been able to attend. PLUS! they wouldn't allow us the rent to site Nextdoor UNLESS we had another RV (which our kids do not unfortunately) it's a very cool place though!! read more

This place looks much nicer online than in reality... the pool and particularly the lazy river are quite small for the number of camping spaces. The lazy river cannot even hold two tubes side-by-side to give you an idea. The camp sites are nice and long, but there are NO SHADE TREES, NO PICNIC TABLES and NO FIRE PITS. There are sparse, relatively small palm trees, which even once fully grown, will not provide much shade. They allow you to take water to the pool, but NOTHING ELSE! They do not serve iced tea at the pool, but would not allow me to take my yeti with tea in it- and they visually and smell test everything you bring in. There are much better camping choices around Texas- I would highly recommend going elsewhere- even if you have to pay to get into a water park- it will be much better bang for your buck!! read more

We have been twice to Lost Lagoon and really enjoy it! The pool is great lots of fun for the kiddos and parents. Lots of tubes available at the pool. Live music is a plus and we have enjoyed our visits. Wibit course is a lot of fun too even though it was crowded and it has a separate daily fee. Pool bar is great and bartenders are friendly. Drinks were good and love the wrist bands so you don't have to carry your card everywhere. The food is reasonably priced and is very good. Ordered lunch daily while at pool and the pizzas were great. There was an employee that was very hardworking around the pool area. We constantly saw him cleaning up trash and helping the bar restock ice and items. Would like to see more shaded areas like trees added to the Rv park and a shade over the play ground area for the kids. Even adding another play ground in the middle or towards the back would be a plus. Overall great place to stay would recommend again! read more

We have been to this place a couple times and it has been great but unfortunately this is the time I have to be negative, they put out flyers for events happening like this cook off at the end of may, I have been trying to call my reservation in becouse that is what it says to do and all I get is that they are to busy to take it. So after three days of trying to reserve a spot for the Coleto Creek bbq cook off we are just giving up. We rented out one of the cottages at Lost Lagoon. We arrived just after 5pm, so the office was closed. We were left a set of keys, so we helped ourselves in the cottage. Almost right away we noticed the cottage wasn't clean. One of my kids went to the loft area and opened the curtains to find an empty kids drink and candy trash. The black couch had white stains all over, there were hairs in the bathroom drawers, refrigerator wasn't cleaned out, tons of dust/lent under the bed and sticky stuff on the floor. We went to the office the very next day to let them know, and they didn't even offer to have someone come clean. The drinks were overly priced and the drink menu is deceiving. The drink menu online makes you think that drinks are $10, but once we recieved the bill they were $15.50. There are no prices listed at the swim up bar. Be careful at the kid's pool, my daughter ran into the sharp part of the slide and caused a nose bleed and apparently it wasn't the first happening of this. Another family staying said the exact thing happened to their son the day before. We told a staff member; and he just shrugged his shoulders. I don't think the staff genuinely care about the guest experiences. Other than that, my family did enjoy themselves and we loved the poppin colors of the cottages. Very nice RV park. However, they do need to enforce their policies. They provide you a 1 1/2 page legal size paper with rules and policies, that you must sign when checking in. However they do not enforce them to include children driving golf carts and golf carts driving all night on Friday and Saturday. They do however enforce their policies to not allow you to smoke at their pool. If they're going to have policies that they do not enforce then why would they not allow people to smoke at their pool. Policies are policies regardless of who it affects and where. They do not have the proper security or authority to enforce their own policies. After hours I was told to call the local police to enforce their policies, their policies are not violations of local laws. My recommend would be to have lawfully commissioned Peace officers patrolling this establishment when they are at peak capacity on the weekends. Otherwise a very nice place to spend time. read more

I really enjoy bringing a cooler with snacks and drinks for the kids when spending the day at the pool and not having to leave to go back to the camper every time we want a snack or pay for the food they offer. This was our 3rd trip to this campsite, I was completely shocked on the decline of service and cleanliness. Front office older, white lady w/ glasses was outrageously rude and condescending. We were charged 50.00 for a noise complaint violation. It was an obvious lie, I had the next camp site to my brother and he said no way was our music loud. My son's ( Hispanics) ordered a pizza, took 4hrs for them to get it. People vaping in pool area, but my son's get called out in the parking area. Super uncomfortable this time around. Racist to the max! Drunk people disrespecting others. Babies in pool w/ drunk parents. Incredibly disappointed this time around. We spent hundreds of dollars and did not have a good time. Bathrooms were uncleaned, dead roaches in the stalls. No paper towels or hand soap. Our site had no picnic table and lots of ant mounts. Management needs to step it up, this place is going down. Oh not to mention all the crazy people in golf carts, we have video of a 4yr old driving and the parents drunk in the passenger side and back. Golf carts with 8 kids all minors driving thru campsites at 1am. Will be posting that on TikTok. read more

Beautiful place and most staff were very friendly BUT, having my bags checked at the pool like I'm going through TSA at the airport so they could force me to buy their drinks and food I thought was too much. One bartender had to be told that vodka did not go in a margarita. If your going to charge me for a drink hire a bartender that knows how to make them and at least knows how to pour an ounce of liquor in it right. I don't mind paying you what your asking for the rv space and wouldn't even mind paying a little more but if I have to buy everything from you also then I just have to continue to go to Stella Mar in Galveston. I've spent close to 75 days in rv parks from Galveston to key west Florida this year and not once did I go though an inspection and those parks do just fine. Maybe consider selling us beer inside your office/store instead of forcing people to pay three times the price at your bar. You still make money and customers will be happier and more likely too return. I spoke to everybody at the pool and everybody agrees that it's too much and that would stop them from returning. Is it possible to cut the sewer pipes down about a foot closer to the ground so that we don't have to try and drain our sewer up hill. I want to say that I had long conversations with the maintenance man that seemed to do it all and he is a great employee and loves working there. I've been in the bar/restaurant business for ten years and people like him are hard to find. I forgot his name but he was about 55-60 and has a goatee and mustache. I never like anybody telling me how to run my businesses as I'm sure you don't but I learned a long time ago that I don't know everything. From one business owner to another please consider this because I love your place and it has great potential. You may not always have those 25 or 30 monthly pipeline works there and right now my guess is that's really helping you but I'm sure it will play out and they will move on to the next town. Overall a very nice , clean place. Although the employees were not very attentive , as my friend screamed out she was going to jump in wibit attraction entrance and there was no sign nor warning as she jumped in she hit her knee on the hard clay thinking it was deep enough to jump in , when it was only 2 feet deep. The employees stood there and never even asked if she was okay , but sat and watched. Secondly ANY dog breed should be allowed but they have a restriction against pit bulls and Rottweilers , seems a little mmmm. 2/10 Place was really pretty, but after going I realized it was not safe at all. I went with my kids and couldn't peacefully let them play without worrying about their safety. No lifeguards were there for the majority at time, so I had to watch my kids. I might as well have been in my pool at home. Stayed here for some time . It's nice but way too expensive. They price gauge on monthly's . The speeding thru out the park is horrible with people and workers driving around in their golf carts and vehicles, so if you have children watch them closely. They do not enforce the rules . Kids drive those golf carts dangerously , suppose to be 21 yrs old . The music is loud at the pool most all the time , it's so annoying . People get crazy drinking around the pool so it's kinda hard to swim and watch kids . It's gets loud on the weekends especially with people drinking and driving golf carts around with their music blaring . The office staff are rude and very un friendly/ un helpful. Overrall this place is more for people who want to party, drink &swim rather than a family friendly place. If you go I would go during the week & not on the weekends nor a holiday with kids , not so loud / crowded. It's a nice place for being out in the middle of nowhere especially during the summer time . The sites are nice , just no shade anywhere. They do have a laundry room, small workout room, mini playground ( but no shade , & equipment gets way too hot to play on) , the food is good just expensive. I wish they were trying to protect against Covid 19 but no social distancing f and Mack's not required. So any website info about protecting others is garbage! I asked office and was told management said "not required". Not sure how but I can tell you not required or five by any staff. Then in cafe children young children behind counter touching things even non covid times would say "gross." No hairnet, no masks, no gloves enter at your own risk for covid or any other nasty diseases. My issue is I called and none of this was said it was the exact opposite but now I am here and feel lied to and now in my restricted RV for health reasons. I believe you can social distant plus the office and Restraurant staff can wear mask lets at least try to restrict covid from spreading. . Oh the rest of their policies are not in forced either....21 and older drive a golf cart ha ha, one certified life guard for two pools what a joke. So just take your entire life in your hands from covid, to eating or drinking and certainly your kids out on bikes with youngsters driving golf carts crazy and you will be good.
