The restaurant itself is kind of cool... rustic and with a sort of petting zoo outside. The service was very good. The food came out fairly fast and we all got what we ordered without issue. We were a large group.
The food itself was decent. Salsa and chips were good. The salsa was very flavorful but not hot at all. I got the machaca sonorense. It was a bit dry but the flavor was good (I realize this type of machaca, the real stuff, is typically drier). It comes with a salad, beans and guacamole. I could've done without the salad, it was average at best. They make tortillas by hand and they were quite good.
I wouldn't mind going again, although to be honest I wasn't blown away by it. It's a little ways out of the city and I probably wouldn't go unless I happened to be in the area and hungry. I rate it a 3.5 but rounded up. read more
