This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in town. Although we have ordered many different dishes, we usually order the Chili Relleno and Chili Verde. Oh so good. We always take home a roadie box with enough for one or sometimes two meals. Great value, employees and location. read more

Food is top shelf! Service was very good! Ambiance was surprisingly nice with volume of business! Will certainly recommend and will return!!! read more

So the food was about on par for a place like this. But the real kicker is the waiter who served my party added money to our tabs after we signed the checks. One was charged an extra $5 and I was charged an extra $4.83. Police report will be filed next week. read more

Best Mexican food in town. Great chips, good salsa, good queso, good food and good service. hard working people. Give em a try.

We came after 3:00 p.m. The food and service were about what to expect for that time of day. I didn't expect instant coffee. The restaurant has had some remodeling since I was last in. The colors are pretty. read more

Best charro beans! Service is always great and it's always clean. I haven't tried anything that was not good.

Ate here while in town for work and it was delicious. The salsa is super flavorful, and the black beans were excellent (and a nice change, since many Mexican restaurants don't offer them). I had the chicken Enchiladas Leon. If I didn't live so far away, I would absolutely return and work my way through the menu. Recommended! read more

Did not visit this location, but visited the Joplin location in the old Marias on 32nd. This place is bussin!!!! Salsa is badass, hot salsa is even more badass. I work in Joplin every Friday, stop in here every week and it is just consistently badass. Love this place, major upgrade from Marias!!!!! read more

Nice place that I had never seen on my prior visits in Neosho. Came here in Mother's Day so I was very busy but we were seat promptly. We were told that the restaurant is ran by the owners family and they were all very nice and accommodating, I ordered a beef Neosho Burrito and over all it was very good and will be back! read more

Awesome food and great service. Taco Tuesday rocks and the staff know what their doing

If you're looking for great tasting Mexican food with vast menu options, this place is for you. On our visit within our party of ten, we had fajitas, steak and eggs, and the speedy lunch among other items. The most interesting option that was tried today were the build your own lettuce wraps. I think they might be on to something with that! Everything you could want in a wrap/taco without the carbs! Our party was large, and on this particular day, they seemed under-staffed. Therefore, the service was subpar, but that would not keep me from visiting again. The food is worth it. read more

I ordered mine to go and got curb side delivery. So I cannot speak to the interior. They offer curbside but there is no designated parking that I could see. The food was about what I would expect from your average mexican restaraunt. Nice sized portion. Very quick service. read more

Made a quick overnight trip to Indigo Sky Casino and Resort. Happy we opted to check out El Caballo versus the casino restaurants. Chips were thin and crispy. Queso was delicious. Not a fan of their salsa, but dinner was great. I got the Poblano enchiladas and my husband got the Carnitas. Didn't disappoint and meal was affordable. read more

Was shocked when we walked inside. From the outside it is very unimpressive and we were not sure if it was a restaurant. It is on the end of a older strip mall next to a Save A Lot and a shoe store. Once inside though it looked like one of many restaurants I have been to in Mexico right down to the dance floor and stage for a band. It has a large menu and the staff was attentive and friendly. Ordered a 18 oz frozen margarita for $4.99. It was ok but I wasn't there for the drinks. I am a big burrito fan so I ordered the big Brutus steak burrito. The flavor of the grilled flank steak was strong and rich and was complimented well by the chipotle sauce that was served on the side. The burrito was large and filling and smothered in quest. My wife had the pollo masaltan and was very satisfied. It comes with a skewer of large jumbo shrimp that were perfectly seasoned. The grilled onions were my wife's favorite part. I am rarely in this part of the country but I know that because of all the poultry processing farms there is a huge Hispanic population and a Mexican restaurant would be a great idea. If I am ever in Neosho again I will definitely stop by again! I just regret I couldn't be there when one of the bands were playing! read more

It smelled like cleaning products and delicious food as soon as I walked in. The service was friendly and concise and the food was amazing. Real ingredients not frozen pre packaged read more

If you enjoy eating Mexican food that tastes the same no matter where you eat it, this restaurant is not for you. They do it excellent here. There own especial recipes. I had the pork enchiladas. Very good. There tortillas were different and the pulled pork tasted like it just came off a wood-fired grill. Service can't be beat. Prices very fair. One suggestion: I did ask for their Hotter table sauce. I got one only slightly more spicy than their mild table sauce. Hot means habanero heat. Bring it! We'll be back soon. read more

A little slow getting service but food has flavor and it hot. I suggest to not go right when they open as when I did my taco salad shell was chewy instead of being crispy. Thinking the fryer wasn't ready. If you go later it's good. read more

This place is good if you do not mind the wait. I would not go on a Friday unless you like loud music. However, they have fast and friendly service. When they are busy it could be difficult to get a seat if you have a large parties of more than 4. But would not recommend if you are want an adult beverage. read more

This place is solid, but I'd say more than half of the time they get my order wrong in little ways that are frustrating. I ask for no sour cream, I get sour cream. I ask for queso on my enchiladas and I get red sauce, if I ask for red sauce I get queso. It's odd. I actually enjoy the food which is why it gets 3 stars, but the attention to detail just isn't there. read more

I've been here a few times and the food is always good. They have great chips here. I mainly wanted to put how hard these people work. The two times I've been in here, it's been noon on a Sunday. It's packed with people. Everyone is seated as quickly as possible, they had our food out very quickly (even with so many people), and they were still attentive to us. I just kept seeing the staff moving very quickly to serve everyone. The food itself is good. It doesn't blow me away, but it is very good Mexican food. I will be back. Make sure you support these hard working people. read more

Love the food ,wouldn't order water dosnt taste right, service on some days are bad and sometime stale chips, love the decor tho

On the good side, the place is large and clean and there is plenty of parking. Sadly though, the food is very hit and miss with more misses. For example, last night I stopped in to place a to-go order. It took 35-40 minutes. Seriously. No exaggeration. When I got home one of the items, the king fajitas was barely room temperature almost cold. The other entrée, the chili Colorado, was nice and warm. The King Fajitas were so cooked that the shrimp were hard eraser texture and the portion was so sparse that if you spread all the pieces across the metal container you would've still seen lots of the bottom of the container. There might have been half a dozen pieces of onion and bell pepper in the mix. Usually $13 fajita servings are generous enough to feed two people; this was good for a child or an adult with a very small appetite. Plus the meat was over cooked and cold and there was not much else there, literally a few pieces of bell pepper and onion. Oh there was also no guacamole which is customarily served with fajitas. The Chili Colorado was equally disappointing. I was so looking forward to big, tender chunks of beef slow roasted in red sauce! Nope. I got thin strips of beef that were like jerky they were so over cooked. Then they had been tossed in a red sauce. You can't reheat old thin strips of beef and throw some enchilada sauce on it and call it chili Colorado. read more

Took forever to be seated and waiter wasn't that good Food tasted weird and I got sick when I got home! Not a good experience

Been there maybe 3xs. Twice they lost my order, or so they said. Not going back anytime soon

I was SO pleased with both the food and service here!!!! Delicious! The flautists were crispy and the queso and guacamole were great!! I will definitely be back! read more

As part of a family in town for a reunion, we all decided to show up at this establishment for dinner at pretty much the same time. Probably 20 or more in all. They quickly and politely accommodated each "family" group in the same area. They kindly gave separate checks and responded to multiple special requests for various items. All of this with a pleasant and attentive attitude. Because there were so many of us, I was able to sample several items. My favorite was hands down the chili verde. It was very flavorful and delicious. The verde sauce alone could make anything taste good! The asada meat looked really good too. Thank you very much to the staff, cook and guitarist. If I'm ever in Neosho again I will definitely come back. read more

Always great food and friendly service! The pork enchiladas are the best. Best salsa chips and queso in Neosho.

So my wife and I were having a late lunch today. the food and drinks were good. We have eaten here many times but no more. As we were waiting for the bill I saw something out of the corner of my eye. It was a roach walking across the wall just above the table. I killed it and thought well it was an accident and this one slipped through the bug killer. But then came another! Thanks when we backed up and went to the counter to pay. Sorry we will not return. read more

We have been enjoying this place since 2017 and still love it! I think the Acapulco Shrimp is my favorite. Shrimp is cooked in a creamy bacon sauce and always arrives at the table SO SO hot I have to wait 2 minutes before I can eat it....that's a GOOD THING to me! Service is always professional and quick BONUS there is usually live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. read more

Very friendly service and best Mexican food I've ever tasted and I've traveled the world

We have only dined here once so far, but it was extremely good. My husband and I just ordered lunch specials but I'd probably get a little more adventurous next time. My steak enchilada was great and the bean burrito was better than average. We both really liked their rice, and their salsa was among the best I've had as was the chile relleno I sampled. They had some very good specials on both food and margaritas and other drinks, even at midday on a Saturday. Huge menu with a lot of variety. The dining room was spacious and comfortable and service was almost too helpful (not a bad thing). read more

I purchased dinner on the door dash pick up option through this restaurant. The app told me it would be ready between 6:30-6:40. I arrived at approximately 6:35. I walked in and it took 10 minutes before someone helped me. Then they asked me to sit and wait. I did not get my food until 7:05. When I got home my enchiladas were ice cold. My wife called, not being rude, and explained the situation. The man on the phone basically said that our food had been ready for 45 minutes and we were late.... then he changed the story saying that it was her fault the food was cold because we ordered ice cream. Extremely disappointed with the service, food, and the way he spoke to my wife on the phone. read more

This was my third trip to El Caballo. The food was nothing stellar, came out luke warm. The service was marginal. We had to ask multiple time for napkins and the order was 90% correct. She seemed to be in another world. read more

If I could I would give it a 0 star rating. We just left, the food was cold, we didn't have silverware till I went and found some one else to get them, there was 6 of us we got 4 menus. I didn't get what I ordered and my little sister didn't get her's either. Took a really really long time. And the waitress was disrespectful, and picked up the plate I wasn't done with put it on a dirty one and then put it back down. The bottom was covered with cheese. Overall my parents work in food service and I've been raised around it my whole life and I've been to some pretty discussing places but the service by far was the worst. I'd rather have McDonald's for my "nice dinner" Thank you. read more

First time here. The food was really great the atmosphere is nice. Lights could be a little dimmer. The fact that they have live music is really nice. It was a solo acoustic guitar player. The only gripe in have is ordering a margarita with NO salt and getting salt. Twice!! In San Diego that's a punishable offense. read more
