We stopped here for lunch and I ordered a typical Catalan appetizer which is a puff pastry sheet topped with roasted eggplant, peppers and anchovies. I was hesitant about the anchovies, however, these are not as salty as the Italian ones or those I get in the USA. My lunch was chicken and a forgettable side dish, as I can't even remember what it is!!!! The chicken was tasty but not very meaty. My friend ordered the catalan sausage which looked better!! In addition I had creme catalan for dessert...the creamiest delight I have ever tried. I loved the burnt sugar on top as well. We also drank Estrella beer with this sweet (but no calorie) soda that is locally made in Mataro. I am sure it is better on a hot sunny say but it was good. read more
