If like me you operate a banger economics strategy when it comes to car purchases, there is a good chance that the alloy wheels on your car are going to start losing their shine. Age tends to get the better of alloy wheels, and after a while the allow starts coming off the wheel or starts bubbling up. The upshot of this is that your tyre doesn't really stick to the wheel all that well, so you have to pump it up pretty much every week.
That's where these guys come in. For about a third of the cost of a new wheel (the work cost me £45 all up) they'll take the wheel down to the base metal, recoat it and paint it from a choice of colours - they were able to match my original colour with no problems. It's just a case of turning up, and they will take your wheel for a day or two, and it's as good as new. Watch yourself if you are going on a Friday though, as they close at 2. They are open at 8am though, which is pretty handy.
They are recommended by Prestige Tyres in Busby, and I went there based on this. Absolutely no complaints from me, and would highly recommend them should you need this done. read more
