My 4 children have been at GVA Modesto since 2019. We have been incredibly happy attending here. I…read morelove that GVA represents subject mastery before moving students on to the next part of the curriculum. GVA has an incredible emphasis on character building and kindness. This creates a favorable school community and growing children that will be positive influences in society. A few of my children have needed extra resources with reading and speech and those supports were given ASAP. I also have 1 student that has needed a 504 plan and over time it has been suggested to move him into an IEP. I love that GVA has a private school feel and size, yet is public and receives the state funding for providing these supports to families and students. The school offers many after school clubs and enrichment programs during the school day. I am extremely grateful that my children are learning Spanish at a young age. The school offers before and after school program, as well as summer school when needed and summer care for working parents. We look forward to our children being at GVA another 7 years. Our family is extremely happy with our experience at GVA Modesto.

I will never forget how the school counselors doubted my future and told me that there was no way for me to move up to CP classes. All they told me was that I was stuck in regular classes and they wouldn't move me up nor did they even try to help me move up. I was just sent away with no direction given. At Enoch's, I worked hard and earned good grades and the counselors gave me the encouragement I needed to believe in myself. At Enoch's, they helped me and led me in the right path and moved me up to CP classes. At Beyer, all I felt was doubt in my future. Enoch's gave me hope and opportunity. Now, I am proud to say that I am a nurse.

Love aspire schools. The only problem I have with this location is the office staff. Even my…read morehusband complained about them. Last year we both went at different times to pick our son up and we were both told that we cant come an hour before school ends it's to early! Makes no sense we were late to our appointments because of this. Even the staff and vanguard were shocked when I told them. This year they changed it i guess and claimed it was never like that well I'm not sure but it happened to us both on separate occasions. Also they called me to pick up my child but my child wasn't even in the office when i got there still had to wait for them to walk up to the front. And they make parents wait outside I understand it's for Stafety but if it's raining or cold who wants to stand in the rain there's nothing to stand under. Really my problem is with the office staff especially the one who I'm assuming is the receptionist she's so rude the one with the long black hair. I'm really considering not returning my student next year I don't want to deal with rude staff.

Kanaly loves to harass some students to, the entire year someone i knew was being harassed and when they defended themselves she gave them detention. The schools automated messages are annoying to, pretty much getting calls every week. A student has also broken something of mine and when i reported it to the staff they did absolutely nothing. Some of the school security is pretty nice, Alexis and Angie are the sweetest and most helpful, The (majority) of the staff are helpful and have a lot of patience, 12-14 year olds are not easy to deal with and they (usually) handle situations well. Crazy to know a teacher was smokin weed in the middle of a class and a teacher kissing a student. The camp security john is a bit rude but can be nice sometimes, I have heard him saying several times that he cant wait for someone to act up so he can get them in trouble. Overall, not a bad school

She comes home every day from school telling me all the new things that she learned including her alphabet, counting, sing-along songs, writing skills etc. She is always excited to go to school, and is well monitored while there with multiple teachers supervising in the classroom at all times. You can tell the teachers have a passion for children and genuinely love their job. They have flexible hours that you can adjust to fit your work or school schedule. I think Gabriela (one star review) did make a point that I heard my son make in that the popular kids and athletes are put on a pedestal. But hasn't that always been the case. His advice on classes is take the advance placement or AP classes instead of the regular classes. He found that the teachers are more engaged and the students better behaved. In the advanced classes he was "always" able to complete his homework in class because work time was quite. My son is now at Chico State and thriving thanks to the foundation that Gregori HS gave him. One last comment to Gabriela, no school is perfect and it is great that you support your child, but you need to potentially look within to identify what or who the true source of your discontent is.
