We had a 50+ year old non-standard lock that we needed to fix. I removed the lock and brought it to Shaw's actual, local store in Bergenfield, and they quickly understood what I needed and very inexpensively made the repair. My advice - don't use a "service" claiming to be in the area that then subs out a job, but find an actual, established local locksmith. We couldn't be more happy with Shaw's work and we'll definitely use them again.

Three weeks later, I finally got a call saying they couldn't fix it and that I needed to pick up my system. That meant $60 down the drain, since they admitted they couldn't repair it. I asked if I could at least get a diagnostic report to show the next repair place, but they said they didn't have one. When I got my system back, it had nasty greasy fingerprints all over it, still broken, and as I was about to leave, the clerk again tried to sell me their all-in-one program. WTF! By the way, the website still says FREE estimate. This is a horrible, scammy operation. Avoid at all costs.

We had approximately 10 windows and the job was split up due to weather conditions since the job was performed primarily from the exterior. Overall happy with the outcome. It was able to identify my design preferences by showing different living rooms and asking which ones were to my liking. In addition, its questions served as a great preparation for the home visit, so Stephanie came well prepared for our meeting. Stephanie was very creative, professional, and helpful throughout the process. When she visited my place, we decided on a design together, in an efficient process, where she was able to translate my needs and preferences to interior design decisions and furniture choices. After two weeks, she assembled a furniture shopping list, within the budget I requested. I purchased all items she suggested. The furniture items were sourced from many furniture stores and I felt she did an excellent job finding items that were beautiful, fit the overall design, and reasonably priced. I get nothing but compliments about my place (even from my Architect friend who is quite stingy with design related complements...). Well done Stephanie! As to the cost-effectiveness of the service - had I done this process myself (even with friends help), I would have surely spent more time, more money, getting worse results.
