Sounds like, so what, weld the brackets together and move on. However, multiple angles needed to be changed. Jeff reassembled the seat assembly to confirm the new angles, disassembled it do the welds and reassembled again; all while patiently putting up with a couple of not particularly helpful old duffers and surely wanting to get home to his family as this project started at 5 o'clock.
