I didn't actually take the…read moreJacobite itself but just the regular Scotrail, which runs the same route without the fancy decor and at a fraction of the cost. The Scotrail's schedule allowed us to photo the Jacobite going over the aquaduct, which we chose over sitting inside the train. I don't usually write reviews of souvenir shops, but make an exception for this one because the lady there was so nice. She was almost like a welcome center agent, answering our questions and trying her best to help us. Which made our short stay a lot more pleasant. Her place also has a lot of cute stuff for sale, including some stuffed toys of the highland cow, plus other delicious snacks and your usual souvenir gifts. Do stop by and check this place out!

I wanted to take back some whiskey marmalade (and it's another story that it got impounded at the airport as was over the liquid limit) and I also found a great plough-house chutney!! Very affordable, cost around £6 and very pleased as was looking for local produce exactly like this, which the local Marks & Spencer's didn't stock. Oh, also check out the whisky flavored condom at the front checkout of the store! There was also a clotted cream fudge, but it was too big a size, so didn't purchase. Overall however, very pleased with the variety of local food that was available at this shop, and if you are looking for good quality and relatively inexpensive food items to take back as souvenirs, then definitely recommend coming & checking out this store. PS - previous reviews talk about a Highland Kilt Museum - I must have been totally oblivious as didn't see any signs for this attraction when was at this shop in March 2019. Yelp 87/ 2019

So if you couldn't tell from the list of items available, not every single item in Iceberg Glass is made by the glassblower, but those intricate items that are - those are the pieces to really go for! We even got to see the glassblower at work behind a glass partition, which was so cool. I picked out a glass blown necklace that was a deep red and so beautiful. They also have some items that are probably more for the local patrons vs. trying to bring them home in your luggage if you're a tourist - like incense, candles, and oil lamps (I think that's what the one I saw was, anyway). Watching the skilled artists transform molten glass into exquisite works of art like jewelry is amazing. I'm obsessed. The staff at the shop are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their work. They are eager to share the history and techniques of glassblowing, answering any questions. I bought my mom the cutest earrings. Loved this!
