Arrived on the 6:30 ferry checked into the hotel and then went out to look for dinner. Not easy after 8pm on Texel!
Maybe it's just winter hours, but still.
Eigeweis's kitchen stays open longer than most but when we left at 10pm we were the last people in the place.
We ordered a bread and cheese board to share. Nice presentation, but no small plates, so the 4 of us had to eat off the serving player and/or use our napkins. The Texel tap beer was great!
The food is delivered by robot, which provides some novelty and entertainment.
For mains the goat cheese salad was quite substantial. Thank you!
The schnitzel was huge. The lamb sampler was also a huge amount of food. The large bowl of fries for the table as side dish were nice and crisp. The "applesauce" was kind of gross.
Skip dessert. The brownie is just a square of chocolate cake. The hot chocolate is nothing special either. read more
