EigerBean - The Coffee Roastery (Grindelwald)
Somewhere up high, in the Swiss Alps, brews a magical and cozy atmosphere.
This is not your typical coffee place. Once you step inside, to your left, you'll find cozy intimate layout of comfortable leather loveseat, two small barstools by the order counter. Behind the couch you'll find Swiss-Themed Artwork on black background.
By far, what makes this coffee shop truly, one of a kind is the absolute beautiful breathtaking views. When you sit in one of the three barstools and look out the window, you'll discover a picturesque view, unlike anything you've seen before. The Swiss Alps!
They offer small menu; Pour Over, Espresso, Americano, Cappuccino, Coffee Latte, Flat White, Mocca, Spanish Latte, Cortado and bakery items. I ordered a "EigerPresso" Pour Over and Loaf Cake.
I started out sitting on the couch since I was the only customer and was able to spike up great conversation with the owner and his part-time barista who I clicked with immediately because of our love for travel. She's part-time travel agent and fluent in five languages.
Little while later, while I was enjoying my Dark Roast, "EigerPresso," and looking out the window, waiting out the rain, a small family of five walked in with an elderly lady. I offered the comfortable couch to them to make sure their elderly lady didn't have to sit on one of the barstools by the window. I moved to a small table, on a barstool by the order counter.
I noticed they were talking in a different language and barista was able to fluently converse with them. As they continued talking with the barista, one of them switched to English and asked, "Why are you fluent in Thai?" "Thai is one of my favorite languages and the people are so genuine, kind and friendly," barista replied.
That statement peaked my curiosity about Thailand. Only one way to truly find out about that profound statement... I'd have to travel to their beautiful country and find out for myself. read more
