I want to REITERATE A TIP for DRIVING tourists: Please be aware that hotel guests cannot park in front of the hotel. YOU WILK GET A 40 swiss franc ticket!! Parking is DIFFICULT AT THIS HOTEL! The hotel parking lot is up the hill and you must drive through very tiny streets. If you have a nice car- it could get scratched and I would avoid this faux three star hotel at all costs but only fir this reason. When we areived as discussed with the front desk- who knew we were DRIVING IN LATE- we could not enter parking because they Forgot to code the key with the correct parking lot. They forced us to pay the 40£ ticket and it was pretty unacceptable as their front desk closes at 9pm for a HOTEL? What?!! And ...They actually told us it was OUR FAULT I want to be clear- other this issue- the hotel is well located and clean. The rooms have lake views and are a little small if you have alot of bags- but very efficient. The breakfast and staff attempt to help but they are burdened by the parking issue. I hope in the future the hotel will be clear about how difficult this could be for a foreign person and that the police coild be helpful and not predatory. We got ip at 6am to ask the front desk what to do but the police had ticked us at 2am. read more

Very good friendly service. Pizza, very good tasting salame with delicious crust. However, a bit oily moisture. Good Hugo & Aperol Spritz's. Normal Swiss prices as usual. Beautiful Lake Magiorre views sitting inside or outside. Recommended. read more

Ahhhh Carcani Caffee. Can it get any better? This Cafe (also a hotel) is situated among many others right next to Lake Maggiore. The view is beautiful, the people watching is always fun, and the Coupe Denmark (three huge scoops of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce and whipped cream) is the most delicious I've EVER had. Maybe they put magic sauce in their ice cream. I don't know man, it's some good shiz, and I've eaten a lot of ice cream in Switzerland. But the even cooler thing is it's cheaper than a lot of other Coupe Denmark's I've tried (11 CHF compared to 12 or even 15). Also the service was sweet and friendly... say what?! Who can argue with a beautiful view, friendly service, almost reasonable price for ice cream, and a magical Coupe Denmark? I know I can't. Carcani Caffe is einfach toll. Es ist auch ein Hotel und direkt am Lago Magiori. Es ist mega cool, dass die Leute heir Italienisch sprechen! Also, die Coupe Denmark is wirchlich Lecker. Ich finde es lecherer als die anderes. Du musst probieren! Es ist auch billiger als andere Coupe Denmarks (11 CHF!). Die Kellnerin waren immer nett. Wir hatten zwei mal besuchen. read more
