When I found out about this that night, I called and requested an itemized estimate. The estimate provided had no cost breakdown. Despite my request to postpone the installation so I could review the estimate and get more answers, technicians still arrived the following morning ready to install the new unit. The "manager" shortly called after the techs arrived at my parents house, told me the faulty part and repair would cost around $2,000 - half the price the original quote that was told to my father, and offered to reduce the new system's price to $17,000 by removing a indoor filtration system. I then canceled the installation and financing and arranged a second opinion. The other technician found that the supposedly faulty part did not need replacing and that everything was working properly. Based on what happened to my elderly father, I feel they prey on vulnerable customers. He was told he needed a costly repair that another technician later found unnecessary, then sold a $20,000 replacement system, a system that was also not necessary as his 10 year old unit still worked. That is deeply troubling, and I would not recommend Elite.

It seem I had two defective GFI breakers that needed to be replaced which was done within an hour of arrival. The technician could not have been more professional and direct to the point. It is tough to be comfortable with looking for technical services when you are new to the area and do not have people you know to call upon for recommendations.
