Saturday morning brunch we decided to try a new breakfast restaurant. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess. The restaurant was busy. But we got seated pretty quickly. I loved how the restaurant opened up to the patio area. While our waiter was friendly our service was pretty spotty. We ordered pancakes and biscuits N gravy. Our pancakes were oddly very dry. Also the biscuits and gravy was served cold. The biscuit it self was a big dry block. Not the best breakfast experience for such a beautiful restaurant. read more

Service was good. I was charged for the coffee which was awful. I sent it back for hot chocolate. I asked for eggs scrambled soft, they were well done. The pancakes were not hot. I was disappointed with the food. Overall would not choose this establishment again. read more

I've always heard great things about the restaurant but am very disappointed it didn't live up to the hype. The atmosphere is beautiful, they have a great patio. I do not like that the misters are placed over the tables, misters have chemicals inside and it can get onto the food. The mimosa was good, as you expect from a flavored mimosa. The food was a huge disappointment. I got the caprese Benedict. The bread was so hard and impossible to cut. The entire dish was bland and flavorless. The service was pretty good, I have no complaints about our server. I would not come back to this place. read more

My brokerage took some agents here for our birthdays this month. We were seated in a private room which was nice, but it was was difficult to hear with all of our voices being bounced around in the room. Coffee was good. I ordered the steak Benedict and it was decent. Service was decent. The crepes and French toast looked so so good! May come back to try them. read more

By far the best breakfast I've had. We were able to get seated right away on a Sunday morning and the food came quickly after we ordered. Lila was an amazing server and checked up constantly. Very friendly staff and environment. The sausage was the best I've ever had. read more

Went here months ago and been meaning to leave a review. I LOVE this breakfast spot. They offer unique healthy options for breakfast so bravo for that for starters! I had the sweet potato mash. What an imaginative combo of healthy foods in one dish, layered like a parfait and just so darn good, nutritious and filling. We also had the lemon pancakes. I love everything about this place. So many interesting options. Our wait staff was amazing and created a special coffee for me without any hesitation. Service is top knotch. Also love the fresh and modern decor. Nice to have this for a breakfast spot!! I'd go weekly if I lived in AZ. read more

Food was bland and quality wasn't that great for the price. Portions were decent but overall food was very mid. The server was okay. But started to get an attitude towards the end when I asked if they did a military discount and he had already gotten the ticket so he had to go get a new one. This place is top of my list for the best brunch in Arizona. It has a quiet, peaceful, zen-like atmosphere early in the morning. Bring those people who you want to ketchup with. It's beautiful. Look at my photo of the bar. It's gorgeous. The coffee is smooth with deep notes of chocolate and dried fruit with a touch of cinnamon. They are masters in the culinary art of the egg. The steak was cooked perfectly. The Carmel latte is better than SB, and the omelet is GIANT. Let's not forget they have fresh squeezed OJ. If I were trying to enter the world's strong man, I would eat here daily. Lifting weights, bulking season, packing on muscle. THIS IS THE PLACE. With portions built for giants, it's a can't-miss. They even have those tiny glass jars of jam. So come here and Jam out with your friends and Fam. read more

I'll start with the steak and say that it tasted better than it looked. Don't expect the best steak of your life because it is a brunch place. The substitutes of the fries and bagel were really nice but the bagel was over cooked. The Benedict was really good. No complaints and added arugula. Portion sizing is pretty big. The hash browns and bacon were really good. The chocolate pancakes were like 7/10, it was dry. The eggs and hash browns were yummy. The service was amazing!! Older taller male with glasses, we missed his name but he got everything right and treated us so well. The ambiance of the place I really liked and we had a good time. Foods great, absolutely no complaints whatsoever about that, portions are insanely huge so you definitely get your bang for your buck! HOWEVER, service was extremely questionable. Management, more specifically Alejandra needs an EXTREME reconsideration. Let me paint a picture for you. The restaurant is probably 80% full on a Sunday morning, NONE and I mean none of the servers are available. People need refills, food is cold in the window, people are getting seated without a greeting. Who I assumed at the time was the manager (later to learn her name Alejandra) is quite literally screaming at the staff behind the bar, loud enough for the whole restaurant to turn heads, get quiet and quietly whisper amongst their tables for how wildly inappropriately this manager is treating the staff. I've worked as a server in multiple different restaurants and settings, if a manager spoke to me like that, I would probably walk out, let alone in front of the entire restaurant with probably 50 or so people witnessing it. Upon further eating, I had asked my server who she was, A GENERAL MANAGER??? Who gave this wack job this position in charge of people? I have loved Eggstacy for a very long time, this is not the normal location I visit so something about the way this manager was treating her staff was even more off putting. read more

I went to ecstasy on Shea Boulevard to meet a friend for lunch. The place was empty at 12:30 on a Friday. Within a few minutes, I noticed how warm it was in there. I asked the server about it and she said that apparently the air conditioning wasn't working. At that point it was 88° in the restaurant. My friend and I both ordered crêpes with strawberries. They were dry and tasteless. I got exactly 1 tablespoon of whipped cream for three large crêpes. The strawberries weren't even red, which told me they weren't very ripe. It's been a number of years since I've been there and at this point I will never go back. read more

Overall good restaurant and menu choices. The strawberry OJ is incredible. We thought we ordered the chicken Gouda sausage, ate every bite and was truly so good. We returned again during our trip and ordered the same, only to find it looked/tasted totally different. I asked the waitress and she confirmed what we had the second visit was the chicken sausage which was not good at all. After looking at the menu, I think we ate the housemade maple sausage by mistake the first visit, which would explain why it was so good. Do not order: Pancakes (both plain and speciality are very flat/tasteless). French toast (weirdly not like French toast at all, more like just toasted brioche bread with toppings). Thank you, thank you, thank you to hash kitchen for having music that was so obnoxiously loud that there is no way in the world two people even sitting right next to each other could've heard each other without screaming at the top of their lungs. Bizarre. But, it allowed us to drive less than 1 mile and try Eggstasy, which was absolutely stellar. Yes, there is great music playing, but it's at a volume where your ears won't be bleeding when you walk out of the building. It's upbeat and fun. Atmosphere is super open, clean, tons of natural light, amazing open bar, you can see right into the kitchen, fantastic! Service here is phenomenal. Tons of employees, they all take care of you regardless of who's section you're in. The food is exceptional. Huge portions, amazing menu with all kinds of creative items. I posted pictures of the menu. Quality of the food is top-notch, everything homemade, literally made in-house, served fresh and hot. I had the Greek skillet with two over medium eggs and it came with a massive side of buttermilk pancakes. The pancakes were in my "top three best pancakes in my life", ever. They were warm, fluffy, sweet, perfectly griddled and needed no syrup, which is unheard of for me. and, there were no blueberries, coconut, chocolate chips or any other funky additions, just plain amazing buttermilk pancakes! My wife had the arugula, blue cheese and wild mushroom omelette where she substituted Gruyere cheese. This place will customize anything for you and really not charge you anything to make it the way you want it. A truly customer focused business. Excellent. This place is five stars all day long and I can't wait to return! read more

Met family here for breakfast before our flight home and they brought their little dog so we sat on the patio. Our waitress was so nice and the food was perfectly prepared. The Bloody Mary toppings were unique and included chocolate covered bacon. They have a very extensive menu so everyone will find something to enjoy here. My omelette was available with fresh fruit. Eggstasy is my new favorite breakfast spot! The atmosphere is so cute, the staff is attentive, and the food is bonkers good. I got the eggasm and the toasted coconut, mango, and papaya crepes. The eggstasy is such a unique dish. A coddled egg sits atop mashed potatoes, topped with crispy prosciutto and served with crispy bread. It's savory, crunchy, soft, and so hearty. I'm obsessed! The crepes were such a unique spin. I'm used to the typical strawberry banana Nutella crepes, so to see these tropical crepes had me so excited! The refreshing acidity of the mango and papaya combined with the caramelized sweetness of the coconut blanketed in the cashmere soft crepe really made a symphony more beautiful than the national children's choir of Great Britain. Been to Eggstacy a number of times, always ordered the Veggie Skillet and always fantastic. Previously, it has been served in a cast iron skillet so the hash browns and veggies were roasted, crunchy and deliciously charred. Today was disappointing as it was served in a bowl. So that roasted, charred flavor was missing. The grain bread and fruit skewer, however, was delish. Also ordered was the barbacoa topped eggs which was out of this world as were the pumpkin pancakes. Because of my skillet dish, I can't give 5 stars and will definitely order something else off of the extensive creative menu next time. read more

Went for a late breakfast / early lunch on a Tuesday. Was about half full. Waitress immediately told us to be patient since they only had 3 servers which was very nice of her. Since we were meeting relatives we have not seen in a long time we were in no hurry. Ordered the buffalo chicken wrap which was full of chicken and came with fries and a cup of soup. Soup was a beef stew that was fantastic. My wife ordered the kale sundried tomatoes and goat cheese omelet with a side of fruit. She declined the side of pancakes or toast. Portions are huge! Lunch was pretty good here. Unfortunately I did not take any pictures. My friend had Breakfast burger with fries. Our other friend had chicken wrap , goes and a soup. I had quinoa arugula bowl with poached eggs. Very friendly folks. Nice and clean. It gets pretty busy there. But nothing too crazy. read more

Our first time here was good. We were shocked at the portions and everyone got pancakes. Gluten free ones were pretty good. You have to specific maple syrup and pay extra (fine, but who doesn't want real syrup?) Then we dined here for lunch. Turkey Reuben was so icky. The meat seemed like low quality sliced processed lunch meat and the whole presentation was so unappetizing. We just had breakfast again. I ordered oatmeal. It came COLD. Not warm or even room temp but cold. What the actual heck? It totally ruined my appetite. Server was great and waited for me to check the temp of the new one. But again, just not a place I want to spend money or time again. Unless I want pancakes I might consider it. read more

10/10 Eggsxellent food. Seriously. We rarely get the chance to come here but it's one of our favs in the valley for breakfast. The service is always good and it has an elevated feeling inside. Today we ordered the barbacoa Benedict, the cookie butter crepe and the skillet with steak and eggs. The cookie butter crêpe is so good that you will be thinking about it even long after you've eaten it all. As usual everything was good but I think next time I'd probably not do barbecoa on a benedict because it was a little basic. We wish they'd add a different sauce on this because it didn't feel like it went with the hollandaise sauce. The steak on the skillet was tender and more delicious than we anticipated. read more

This review is for the totality of the experience…read more I made an advance reservation at Alma Scottsdale for a mid-sized group of 7 to celebrate a special occasion. Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic.
