This is my 3rd time using EFS, always good people and quick serve. I got my plates the same day within 30 minutes a 3rd time

Best title company I've ever worked with! Quick and easy. I'd recommend this place to anyone. Open on Saturdays too which is hard to find.

Liv-Randi always takes the time to answer my questions no matter how many times I may ask them. I would highly recommend this location for all Title and Notary needs.

It was my first time selling a car, and I didn't really know all the procedures. I found this place…read moreupon learning that I needed a notarized bill of sale in the state of Louisiana, and I thought that the $15 was reasonable, so I didn't look any further and decided to go out of my way to go here. The car sale was a Craigslist deal, I didn't know the guy well, and I was just trying to do what I need to get the deal done so that I could move on with my life. I thought all we needed to do was fill out a form and sign it in the presence of a notary and get the stamp and go. Well, when the notary asked for both our drivers licenses, I was forthcoming with mine but then the buyer started to go on and on about how he was getting the car for his daughter. The notary started to explain that I'm going to need the buyer info on the bill of sale but then quickly said that it's up to us and that he can't make us do anything. I really would have liked clearer professional advice here. The buyer kept rambling about how it was for his daughter and she's in California, so I blurted out, "I don't care," as in I don't care what he and his daughter figure out, and I said that I wanted to do what was supposed to be done to not get in trouble with the DMV. But once the notary heard me say I don't care, I guess he took that as I don't care about anything at all and he didn't care to listen to anything I said after that, and he just proceeded to make copies and gave me the paperwork saying, "15 dollars." I clarified multiple times, saying that when I said I don't care, I meant that I don't care what the buyer and his daughter work out, and I would in fact like to do what I am supposed to do as far as the paperwork is concerned. And the notary just sat there waiting for his 15 bucks and did not offer any help. The notary did tell me to turn the plate into the DMV asap. I don't know if Absolute has the means to take the plate and didn't offer it to me because I wasn't using them for a more expensive service or what, or if they just don't offer to take license plates, but I ended up going to another title place that was willing to take the plate without a fee, and those guys were a lot friendlier and gave me a lot more information and advice. And you know what? A bill of sale there would have been $10. Needless to say, I will not be bringing any future business here.

Mom needed to switch from a DL to a state ID since she stopped driving BUT her birthday/expiration…read moredate also coincided with the real ID law finally going into effect in Louisiana. So all the places to get switch her over were chaos. So we tried out Jefferson Title, after an early morning doctor's appointment and before we went out to lunch with family. Even though it was a Tuesday, the place was crowded. But there were a number of clerks working. Some seemed to be devoted to licenses/IDs and others were doing title transfers. You signed in on a clipboard with a name and why you were there. The line moved pretty quickly and eventually we were successful so Mom is legal for another 4 years! The building is an old Masonic lodge that was divided up to host a couple of different businesses. Bathrooms are in the lobby and there is a slight step up to get in the building but nothing Mom couldn't handle. The staff was courteous and patient with everyone which was pretty impressive considering the crowd and that NO ONE likes to do DMV stuff.

Confused by the California paperwork, they insisted my properly completed forms weren't acceptable and that I needed new documents and originals. Frustrated, I went to another title agency--they laughed, processed everything without issue, and had me out the door in minutes with a Louisiana plate. If I had listened to the incompetent people at Jefferson title, I would have wasted a ton of time chasing down a bunch of documents I did not need. Safe to say, I won't be back...
