Just one cart rental would pay the young workers hourly wage to stay open for 2 more hours. Imagine if they rented 10 more carts?? So frustrated. What a terrible policy! So they'd rather their guests walk the course in 80 degree temperatures than make money. It doesn't make any sense to me. I won't be back

We tried multiple spots for fish and Kevin always seemed to find the sweet spots where there were fish but no other boats. I'm a hunter-gatherer, and I haven't hunted or gathered anything outside of a grocery store. Enter Schooney Charter Fishing. This guy was amazing on a number of levels. I went with two of my siblings and my brother brought along his two sons, ages 9 and 5. First off, they make this as effortless as possible, bating your hooks and casting for you. If you get curious, ask and they showed you how. The captain and his sidekick were extremely patient with my nephews, answering their never-ending supply of questions. They moved from spot to spot, always keeping in contact with other boats to find out where you would have the most success. We fished mainly for Sea Bass, and the occasional Blue Fish. However, they also offer small tuna fishing, shark fishing and cod fishing earlier in the season. Also, on your way back into the harbor, he'll stop by his lobster traps, and whatever is in there, you can have as well. Nice little added bonus. The pricing isn't all that bad, ranging in between $400 and $600 depending on how long you stay out, or if you go tuna fishing, as that's a longer trip out to sea. But if you have a decent day, you can basically make it back in fish. After your day is done, they will clean and fillet your fish for you. Grab a cooler, because you are not going to want to let any of your catch spoil. I've been scarfing down Sea Bass for the past three days like it was my job. Which is good, because since I've discovered "Yelp" I've been paying a lot less attention to my real job. Added Bonus: We had a whale pop up about 10 feet away from the boat....free whale watching....suck it tourists paying $29 for the Provincetown whale watch....

Ro takes up to six, but due to the clouds, no one else joined in on the sail and it was really cool to have a private tour out at sea. Ro and her mate Owen were so kind and gave us background on the area and then we had great conversation! Ro knew just where to take us to see a ton of seals too which was very cool, my fiancé had never seen them in the wild before and I personally have never seen that many up that close. It was absolutely awesome-the pictures didn't do it justice! Ro's dog, Spinnaker, joins as well and is so well behaved. My dog got along great with him too! I love that Ro includes your furry family member on her sail if you so choose. She has doggy life jackets of all sizes to keep them safe as well. If we're back in Provincetown I would 100% go again! Highly recommend!!

We booked a Sunset Sail, which is a 1.5 hour trip around the bay, and we were glad to be joined by 2 other couples and 1 other pup! (If you're counting, that makes 8 humans and 3 dogs aboard!) You can also book a private trip, which is slightly more expensive of course. Captain Ro and Kaled were a great team and made us feel safe, comfortable, and welcomed. It was a beautiful day to sail (week before Labor Day weekend) and Captain Ro allowed us to climb onto the deck once we killed the engine and were out in the bay. These trips do not guarantee animal sightings but we did see a whole group of seals bobbing their heads out of the water watching us as we sailed on by, which was extremely endearing to see. FYI the crew provides life vests for the pups and you can bring whatever you want to eat/drink aboard to enjoy.

Captain Joe is the best. First, he knows the water and is an experienced and safe seaman. That's…read morethe most important thing to me when trusting a captain to take us out for the day. Second (and most fun), Joe was a commercial fisherman. So he knows how to catch fish. I've gone out with him several times and am always surprised - he will pull up to a spot that is popular for the day (I.e., where 20 other charter boats are), see if we land anything in a few minutes, and if not it's lines and in and we are off to the next spot. This is very different than other charters who will troll the same spot all day when nothing is biting. Joe's boat is ample size for small groups - our most recent trips was 5 adult males, Joe and his mate, so 7 people total. Everyone had a seat and was comfortable. The boat appears to be well maintained, stocked with fishing gear, and has plenty of fish finder / radar / radios / other electronics. Looking forward to next summer!
