Learning french at Les P'tits Bouts has been a wonderful and life-changing experience for my son, Kyle. When he was a baby and toddler, I spoke to him 75% of the time in French. We did playdates with other French-speaking families and a few classes at the French cultural center. My dream was that he would one day be able to communicate easily in two languages and be able to enjoy all of the opportunities for friendship and cultural discovery that knowing a second language allows one to have. For years, although he understood easily, he responded to me almost exclusively in English. Two months after he set foot in Moyenne section at Les P'tits Bouts, he began interacting with me in French and was able to express himself using sentences and strings of sentences. His ability to retell stories, his accuracy and the breadth of his vocabulary have improved dramatically now that he is in Grande section. As an American family, we hesitated on whether a French education would be the right fit for our son. The choice to send him to Les P'tits Bouts is one of the best decisions that we have ever made. The teachers are warm and nurturing. They are also incredibly creative and talented. Every year, the students put on performances and create an art show. Flocks of preschoolers sing and dance in unison to songs like "On écrit sur les murs" by Kids United and "Les Champs-Elysées." In addition to engaging the students in the arts, the teachers develop their academic skills in reading, writing, math and science. I am regularly impressed when my son shares what he has learned at school on topics like optical illusions and hieroglyphics. Thanks to Les P'tits Bouts, Kyle loves learning, going to school and speaking French. The parent community at Les P'tits Bouts is also truly exceptional. All of the families are multilingual and multicultural and it has been a pleasure to get to know many of them through school activities and playdates. Kyle has made several close friends through the school and it has been fun to see him play in another language. At a recent visit to the dentist, when asked where he goes to school, he proudly responded, "EFGB, it's a French school. I can speak French." The dentist responded that she didn't speak French. He confidently replied, "It's ok, I can teach you. I know lots of words. Like Ornithorynque, it means platypus. What do you want to learn how to say?" I have two sons who have and are attending the EFGB P'tits Bouts French day care/pre-school/junior kindergarten programs and we are very pleased. The school pricing is more affordable than many preschools. There is an afterschool service and before school service at the Cambridge school for working parents. Most impressive were the teachers. All were very kind and experienced with creative projects and age-appropriate curriculum. My children speak highly of them. We were especially impressed with the TPS and MS/GS teachers at the Cambridge school, Both locations have outdoor playgrounds though Watertown's is better and has a larger indoor gym/hall space as well. The have wonderful french led gym, art, yoga, and music classes as well. A new location will open in Cambridge/Belmont. My oldest is now in public school and continuing with the FLAM after school program they run across different cities as well. We have also attended the summer camp which is less impressive than the school year staff/curriculum but nonetheless all in french and available. read more

Our son has been in the youngest classroom (TPS) since September of this year. He loves school and his French comprehension and language have improved greatly. We love this warm, community-oriented school and have enjoyed getting to know the other families (many of whom also have one French speaking parent and one not, like ours). We receive regular updates on class activities, including a daily motor session, group art projects (recently they made a beautiful paper mache tree for the classroom and decorated the leaves for it), and fine motor play (I'm always impressed by the high quality of the toys and manipulatives in the classroom). My daughter is going to preschool at the EFGB Watertown campus and we are very happy! She loves it there. She adapted very easily although she usually takes times to adjust to new environment (when Im not around). The school offers the perfect balance between structured classes with a real curriculum, where children learn to be independent, and a nurturing learning environment.The teachers are wonderful - they are warm, welcoming, and seem to be very competent. The staff is very friendly and always available to answer any questions. The site itself is great. The classes are reasonably sized, and the playground is very nice. It offers a place for families to connect and hang out after school. I highly recommend this school. The progress that my daughter made in a short period of time (especially in French) is impressive! read more

EFGB is a fantastic French immersion school, from the classroom environment to the incredible teachers who are so devoted to what they do. Our children have attended all three campuses at EFGB over the past four years, and the school has been consistently supportive and helpful throughout our transitions. We do not speak French at home, but my 6-year-old can now communicate clearly and confidently in French and my 4-year-old is headed in that same direction -- it's amazing to see. Most importantly, our children love going to school and come home every day excited to share what they've learned. As a parent, this has probably been the greatest gift. We've been involved with P'tits Bouts for more than three years: our older son spent two years there, and is now thriving in public school while retaining his excellent level of French, and our younger son is fast developing in the same direction. We have found the teaching staff to be consistently kind, caring, and deeply invested in the success of the children, while never forgetting that they are still small, with much to learn, and a need to find their own way at times! My son joined EFGB - Cambridge last September with zero knowledge of French. 6 months later, he is fully communicating in French, which is very impressive. We love EFGB sprit and the wonderful teachers. My son is so excited to go there every morning. The teachers are so kind, warm and treat kids with respect. Our son has been with EFGB for two years now. We are very happy overall with the school and have signed him up for next year along with the summer program.
