I have been going to Abbey Medical Centre since it was still on Abbey Street. The new location at…read moreWestgate is very convenient with ample parking. The doctors there are all top notch and no matter who you are there to see they will get you sorted. The wait times are very short and the staff are always very nice. They do accept walk-ins, but you will have to wait if there are people with appointments in front of you.
I was referred to Prof. Morrison as a public patient by my then GP, Dr. A. Flavin, Roundstone…read moreHealth Centre. I required a hysterectomy and he denied me an operation and laughed at me and asked "did I realise that is major surgery", that is precisely what was required four years later. When I asked Dr. A. Flavin what he thought of a Gynaecologist at the Galway Clinic he said he could not recommend him because he did not know his work. If a doctor does not know Consultants in the area work, have you ever heard of Cross Border Healthcare Directive. I pay 1,600 subscriptions for Laya Healthcare annually and I would like to know how they would find a Consultant in Spain or France or some other European Country when they do not know the Consultants in Galway? An SHO on Prof. Morrison's team advised me to stay in this country and have the procedure here rather than returning to London (I was home on holiday for a month). When a woman is considered self employed how does she run a home, car, pay a mortgage and many of the other things women happen to do in this country. Prof. Morrison asked me "if I worked outside the home". I don't what home he came from but he certainly did not act in my best interests and I am suing him. He should be struck off, is my opinion given my experience of him. I could not give him a rating. He would not meet with me to discuss the matter, he has avoided my correspondence and he has not signed off on a sick form which I got to him and he would not confirm or deny he had received it on three separate occasions. That is the quality of the "Professionals" in the Gynaecology Department in UCHG I would prefer to have my procedure in London, Spain, France or some other country and charge it back to the HSE. If Ireland can't get basic health care right, who would want to be a citizen? Having worked in the USA and the UK in health care I have never experienced anything like it and hope never to have to be subjected to it again. Regards. Mary King
A Dutch woman in Ireland making Gouda cheese? Who would've thunk it! But my oh my what a delicious,…read moreinformative and fun experience it is to go visit and buy some of the best cheese I've ever had. I'm no cheese expert, but a cheese lover. So that has a bit of weight, doesn't it? So I have to start out by saying that is a strictly part time job for the superstar proprietor Wilma. Not only does she make the cheese, she milks the cows that make the milk and grows the hay for said cows! It's open primarily during in summer, with limited hours, So you need to call her to make an appointment. But for us she was able to be there in 10 minutes. And then, without even asking, she let us into the cheese making room and gave us a full tour - along with information about how cheese is made. At the end she gave us ample samples and charged us way too little for the cheese (Wilma, you don't charge enough!) Don't let the somewhat untidy appearance of the yard fool you. This woman knows what she is doing, and you'll be so glad (your tummy too) that stopped by!

This GP will make false referrals to Tusla alleging neglect if your ex's solicitor requests it. My…read morechild was vaccinated by my ex without my permission. When I learned about it I sent a legal form letter stating that they do not have my consent to vaccinate our children. It clearly stated this was our long standing agreement and was due to religious beliefs and a family history of severe vaccine reactions. Dr Fiona Gallagher mocked this letter in her medical file. My ex's solicitor contacted her a month after our child's vaccination at my ex's request. I believe the solicitor requested a referral to Tusla about me. Dr Gallagher happily wrote a referral to Tusla claiming I had refused medical treatment. She deliberately did not specify what medical treatment I had allegedly withheld in her report to Tusla and she lied to me about the nature of her referral to Tusla. My child had already received the vaccination and no other "treatments" were withheld. This referral was used by my ex's solicitor in court before Tusla received Dr Gallagher's referral. The solicitor knew what was in the referral and attempted to use this as justification to sever my parental rights and colored the opinion of the judge. Currently, our children have not received multiple medically recommended treatments while in my ex's care. I have raised multiple concerns. Recently I attempted to speak to Dr Gallagher about my concerns. In response, Dr Gallagher stated that she did not have the time to dig into that. Dr Fiona Gallagher states that it is the clinic's policy to only communicate with one parent. This policy is preventing me from my legally required duty to safeguard my children thus placing my children at risk of harm and neglect. Dr Gallagher It is my opinion that Dr Gallagher is an old school GP that believes her opinion is gossip. If you are not someone she considers her equal you will be spoken to like a child. I believe she has acted in a bias and prejudice manner and has harmed my children and myself. Currently my children are suffering from neglect and Dr Fiona Gallagher cannot be bothered to help them.

It's been a while since we purchased an overly processed bottle of preserves from the grocery store since we tend to pick a bottle up at farmers markets & the like. When we saw the signs for Clare Jam shop along the country roads in Doolin, County Clare. Inside the shop, we perused & were able to speak to the jam maker himself. What an incredibly kind gentleman. He answered all our jam related questions & gave us his recommendations. What a lovely little stop during our trip.
