Tim and Frank installed the first fence. They were professional, polite, answered all my questions, and left the yard neat. I called Andrea after the installation to tell her about a problem I had with one of the gates not closing by itself. She arranged for someone to come out and fix it on my first call! Chris installed the privacy fence. He was on time and confirmed the layout of the fence and gate before starting. He was professional and polite as well. He installed the fence quickly and left the area neat. It is important to me to deal with a company that values customer service. Great job, Superior Fence. At the very least a good business professional would call and apologize and offer to make it right. That would have been the right thing to do. Nothing. Also damaged fence gate running into it and hole put in vinyl fence. Nothing. Results in NO MORE business from me.

We hired Ament and Sons Construction, LLC (Shawn Ament owner) to restore a home we bought on…read moreSanibel after Hurricane Ian. It took more than a year and a half to complete the work. We were living in NY state at the time and relied on Shawn as the general contractor to oversee the work. When most of the work, but not all, was completed, Shawn asked for the final balance because he said he was short on money. He gave us his word that he would finish all of the remaining items that needed to be completed. Unfortunately we believed him and made the final payment. We have been unable to get in touch with him since that time. He ignores our calls, texts, and emails, which have included a detailed list of items that were not finished. In addition, we have had problems with some of the work he did complete and have had to pay other contractors to correct, including, but not limited to: new smoke alarm going off for no reason and had to be replaced; new air conditioning system had to be completely cleaned out due to drywall dust/debris from contractors; several electrical outlets and lights not working; several lights in contract never installed; improper installation of hurricane windows-missing screws and improper screws; improper sealing of refrigerator water intake line causing ant infestation which ruined new refrigerator water/ice system; contractor lost new front door key to lockset he installed so door had to be rekeyed. While some of the work he did was good, some of it was quite shoddy, especially the electrical work. There were many instances of not following clear directions provided by the client and a lack of follow-through on the project. We would like to warn other consumers to be very wary of Shawn Ament and Ament and Sons Construction.
