The Music in the store isn't exactly to everyones taste mostly being heavier rock numbers but if you can put up with it for a few minutes you normally pick up some good deals. The staff are often helpful and will normally replace cd cases etc should they be in poor condition, the only thing being that you do sometimes get the occasional that seems like they would rather be sticking pins i their eyes then serving you.

So today I went to trade in my netbook, had to make two trips as I wasn't aware you had to bring in…read moreID, so once I finally got everything I needed I was told 'testing' would take 2 hours, I waited two hours in town then went back expecting the testing to be finished, but no it hadn't they said the charger cable which I had used the day before and they checked before it went into there hands was now broken, they said it was my fault but how as the cashier checked it before they denied any accusations as the cable has clearly been cut, they said it must have been damaged in transport but I think I have enough intelligence to not store a netbook and cables with sharp objects. Due to ongoing signal issues with my current provider, 3 I am currently in the process of finding a…read morenew phone network which would likely be deciding between Vodafone and EE due to previous issues with my old provider, O2, hence I decided to visit the former in their Meadowhall store. The store is a decent size, they do have some phones on display but they are mounted down obviously and aren't fully "Apple Store style" interactive. The staff members here seemed really friendly, especially the person who served me who didn't care I wasn't going to be signing up today, he was still happy to talk me through some of their sims only deals and show my signal coverage near my home and work, which appeared to be much better than 3 for starters! He seemed really friendly, he wasn't pushy and he even said he was happy for me to sign-up at another store because his priority was "Customer satisfaction over Commission", a fantastic employee who deserves appreciation from his manager, I remember him telling me he used to work back in my home city, Manchester in the Stockport store! Out of all the mobile phone provider stores within the Meadowhall Shopping Centre in terms of overall look/feel and service, this appears to be one of the best and this store surely did help make my mind up regarding joining Vodafone this coming May. 4*

I'm not always a huge fan of "mall locations" especially considering the grand Apple Stores you see across the world, but this location is ideal and suits Meadowhall, and the store still looks good, taking up a reasonably large unit in the mall, and of course, it is one of the stores that you'd expect to be in a large shopping centre. The store is clear and easy to follow and has a simplistic yet fresh and modern feel, it feels like it has been refurbished in the past couple of years. As with any Apple Store, it can get super busy at times, but the opening hours are good including into the late evening, so if you time your visit right there shouldn't be too much of a kerfuffle! 4*

The store is extremley busy on my two visits to start and complete a repair on my iMac it was…read morehectic, the staff seem to cope but you have to be patient and stand in line to register your presence and any problem you may have If on the other had you are there to buy stuff then there seems to be ample staff to look after you, I counted at least 10 staff dealing with Sales but only 3 dealing with problems so if you go in with a problem be prepared to wait in line and then wait till you are called to the genius bar But once seen the staff are pleasent and helpful, the repair on my iMac was completed in the quoted timeframe of 3-5 days and the repair sorted out my problem and was at a reasonable cost If you go in to purchase or to browse you will be seen quicker and I supose thats how it should be, but if you need a repair or advice about your device be prepared to be patient and set time aside to wait in line to be seen as it will take a while for the Genuis Bar to get to see you

The store is a little smaller compared to other branches, but still, I find it to be a decent size and pretty much has the average O2 layout. I came in with an enquiry ahead of my plan to leave O2, having found a great money-saving deal with Amazon/3 (Buying my new phone from Amazon and then joining 3 on a better deal) - they explained the process well, and they didn't seem "funny" or rude about me leaving either, they didn't try the "sales approach" to get me to stay, which I appreciated, this was a huge improvement on the Manchester - Market Street store, where I visited the following day after confirming my decision to leave. Perhaps adding more comfortable seating which some O2 stores have would be an improvement - yet this is limited due to the overall size of the store. A decent O2 store, with friendly staff. 3*
