On May 6, 2026, (mid-afternoon) I went into the Edwin Watts store on Abercorn St and asked if they could re-grip a putter. The place was pretty much empty. I was told by the cashier that they could not do the re-grip until next week. Yes, you read that correctly - a week to re-grip a putter. Drove 5 - 7 minutes to a nearby Dick's Sprting Goods - was in an out in less than 30 minutes. So my question is simply this - why do you consider yourselves a "golf store" if it takes you nearly a week to perform a 30 minute task. Your service is S**T. A$SHOLES !!!!!! read more

Purchased a set of Ping G425s. Custom fitting by Steve consisted of watching me hit a few shots. No measurements or explanations on anything. Became very defensive and argumentative when I questioned if there was more to the custom fitting. Felt like I would have had better service and attention at a garage sale. read more

I went in here wanting to purchase a new set of irons. I stood in the same spot for about 30 minutes messing with about 4 sets of callaway irons as the same employees walked by me dozens of times. Never asked if I would like assistance. I know I could've asked but there's this thing called customer service.... I ended up purchasing a club cover and a box of balls. This is the ONLY time an employee spoke to me and it was to ask if I wanted a bag after he handed me my receipt. Garbage. If you want to go to Edwin Watts in this area, make the drive to the one near Hilton Head. Highly disappointed read more

I arrived at 530pm, I was able to get two clubs regripped immediately and back in the car by 545pm. Didn't have to leave them overnight. Careful timing the store because your will definitely buy something. Great accessories and good prices. read more

I've been doing business with Matt and his staff at Edwin Watts for years. I've always been treated fairly and with professional courtesy. I recently was in on a very busy Saturday, and every salesman and demonstrator was helping someone. I patiently waited until Bill was through with his customer, and he quickly helped me select the proper grips for my clubs. He explained the re-gripping process and together we worked out a time for me to pick them back up. I would highly recommend this Edwin Watts for both beginners and pros alike. I sent 2 emails to this location over 2 1/2 days to get a price a new grips. I also asked if the Winn grips I wanted were in stock and how long they needed to do them. I did not get a response to either email. Business must be great! read more

I will never spend another dime in this store. If the world ran out of Golf equipment and this was the only place I could buy it , I would quit Golf. This store doesn't stand by there own return policy. I once brought in a set of irons to trade in and asked the assistant manager how much and he didn't look it up or anything he just said 70 dollars. I was very suspicious so I called back the next day and talked to a different associate and they looked up the value and told me 130 dollars so basically the assistant manager was willing to cheat a customer out of 60 dollars. I also brought in some clubs to return on there 90 day playability policy and he the assistant manager claimed I had already brought them back which I hadn't. He claimed he had no way of knowing even though I had my receipt. They ended up giving me 80 percent which I took even though there policy clearly says 100 percent credit. I took 80 because I knew I would never ever spend my hard earned money again in this store. Many other places that want my money and don't treat me like they are doing me a favor by letting me spend my money in there store. My suggestion order online or make the drive to Bluffton and go the the pga superstore. I wish I could give this store no stars. read more

Went to Edwin Watts Golf Store on Abercorn in Savannah with another female golfer 4-21-2009 . Both of us are looking to replace our current clubs. One may think any business these days would be thankful to have a customer come to their store. Apparently Edwin has enough male customers... for 20 minutes we gave them the opportunity to sell us a set or two of the Adams Clubs... then we left the store. As we were leaving a gentleman shopper walked into the store and was greeted with a loud "hello" from the 'man behind the counter. read more
