I would not recommend using this facility for your infectious disease or your general practitioner…read moreneeds. Once my doctor retired they wanted to send me to three or four doctors to get the same meds I have been taking since 2007. To make it worse, I tried to get an appointment with an Overlake general practitioner for four months and have been waiting. Not to mention the other doctors they want to book me with for existing and long term meds with no intervening issues. I am convinced that this clinic is operated in a rigid and very non-holistic way, asking you to see a different doctor on different days IF you can get an appointment without waiting months, in order to bill as much different services as possible. I have literally been out of prescribed medication for two months and they refuse to refill even though I have been available to see the new doctor the entire time. The bureaucracy here is like nothing I have dealt with and l've used some of the best practitioners in the country, including in Los Angeles where everything was managed in a seamless holistic way with one provider who was there to deal with the ongoing and normal needs of the patient unless a bee issue arise and you need referral. Overlake is a big business with big bills and a big bureaucracy that will try to send you to four doctors for four medications (if you can get an appointment) even though you're medical history has not changed and your condition is perfectly stable. When I advised them I as having bad side effects from abruptly stopping a medication due to doctor retirement the reply was sorry you have to see try new doctor even though I can't get an appointment for months. Imagine seeking an appointment in February and being told we can see you in May. Stay away. Don't forget these are the corporate vultures who were in a scandal during Covid when they provided scarce Covid vaccines to their rich Bellevue donors. That's how they operate.

Any questions/scheduling needs are addressed quickly, their billing is very transparent/affordable and my appointments are always on time. Dr. Scott Greenspahn is very knowledgeable and has helped push me to make progress with both mental and physical health in ways that I am comfortable with. He collaborates to make individualized plans with his patients and checks in on the progress that was made every single visit. He also is fun to talk to and has a great sense a humor. What more could you ask for a doctor?! I moved to Washington a couple of years ago and knew nothing about navigating medical care in a new state. Prior to finding Coho, I called SO many different practices and either did not receive a call back, was overcharged, or was seen by a doctor who did not spend any time getting to know me/didn't care about my overall health. I was frustrated and close to giving up before I found Coho. This practice provided a completely different experience and my opinion is that this is the way health care should be handled by all medial professionals. I would recommend this practice to all of my friends, family, and anyone who is looking for a doctor that actually cares.

Stopping this medication is a long, arduous process and Dr. Scott has the exact protocol to do so SUCCESSFULLY. He has stuck by us through the years and has singlehandedly KEPT us clean, sober and thriving!

I came down with the flu last week. After an alarming fever on Tuesday, I scheduled an appointment…read morein the afternoon to see Dr. Norsen at Virginia Mason in Bellevue. When booking the appointment, I was asked to put on a facemask when I entered the office. Obviously this was for precautions against swine flu. I liked that they were careful to do this, although it looked weird as I was the only one in the lobby with one on. I get called in to the room and get my vitals checked. It has been a while since I have been here, so many of the things on file were old news which included a medication I had been prescribed that I stopped taking 2 years ago. My computer file was messed up with a test request for that of a female. This made me apprehensive somewhat. As for the appointment itself, it was okay but rather predictable to what I was expecting. Though the utterance of the phrase swine flu was not pleasant. I never did get a true diagnosis of what type of flu this was swine or not. Thus, there was no prescriptions to be prescribed, but rather the rest and fluids treatment. I would say three stars would be more appropriate, but I will push this to four as I agree with Dale with having a doctor that plays it safe. It looks like Virginia Mason seems to do that, though some things could be improved on. Like listing patient gender correctly.

My experiences with Dr. Norsen and Virginia Mason echo that of the 56 year old comments above…read more I broke my foot and have a chronic shoulder issue and Dr. Norsen would not assist me with any pain relief. Additionally, after experiencing some other health issues I struggled in even reaching Dr. Norsen to discuss in detail my possible course of action. My only option was to talk with his nurse and she would email him. He would email her back and she would read the response to me. Total Joke. Its like the McDonald's Fast Food Drive-in of Health Care. He does appear to care about patients, but his tendency to play it safe and avoid prescription drugs swing too far to the right and cloud his effectiveness. I'm moving on...

We just moved to Portland so trying to investigate a doctor here but realized the great doctor (Dr. Glynn-Thami) that I had been seeing for five years back in Washington hasn't been reviewed on Yelp as yet. Dr. Glynn-Thami is great, easy to talk to and down to earth. She has over 20 years of practice and is a really calming influence. She refers you to specialists when it's beyond her area of expertise and doesn't unnecessarily medicate. She is my OB GYN and was my doctor all through the time I was pregnant with my now three year old. Given that she is family practice, is convenient that she also sees our toddler for her well child check-ups. If only Dr. Glynn Thami lived in Portland since we've moved here and struggling finding a doctor here... :(

I cannot say enough about how kind, compassionate and truly patient she was through the years. Though I'm in excellent health, I am not an easy patient to deal with as I prefer natural / holistic solutions to everyday health issues, shy away from most vaccinations and only take pharmaceutical drugs as a last resort. Though she's very traditional (and knowledgeable) in her approach to health care, she always listened to my concerns and never tried to force me into anything I wasn't comfortable with. In addition to being an all around great physician, she is also very personable and has a truly gifted bedside manner.

I had a very bad experience with Dr Schuster. At that point in time the pain was bearable and I did not have the money to go for a surgery. The pain gradually got worse and I went to Dr Schuster here in Seattle with the prior diagnosis and tests. Dr Schuster made me undergo multiple more tests which cost me thousands of dollars while my pain increased. Finally when all the tests confirmed that the diagnosis by the Doctor in Phoenix was right , he mentioned that he was not specialized to do the surgery and that he would recommend another doctor who could do this surgery. He assured me that he had great relationship with this doctor and that he would be able to get him to see me quickly. This "Recommended" surgeon who by the way had poor online reviews could only see me after 3 months and when calls and messages to Dr Schuster went unanswered, I went to another doctor to get my surgery. Stay away!! from this guy unless you want to spend a fortune on useless clinical visits and tests.

The Nurse Practioner here is beyond heartless!! They are here for the money! Nothing else…read more I have never had such a heartless Nurse Practioner. I was under a lot of stress (working 90+ hrs a week). My body didn't feel well. I scheduled an annual physical and Lisa Hammon rejected my physical claiming that my physical was "too recent". Prior to entering the physician's room, I confirmed with Patrick (the front desk guy) that my insurance will cover it. Patrick confirmed that it will. My insurance resets in January. During the visit, I continuously tell Lisa Hammon that I have been working crazy hours, my body did not feel well, etc. She rejected me of a physical. And a week or so later, I ended up in Urgent Care because there was something off from my blood the entire time. After being discharged from Urgent Care, I told Lisa Hammon that my scheduled appointment and intention was always a "physical". She failed to deliver that and I ended up in Urgent Care. The most interesting part of this is her response (see screenshot). - Lisa Hammon did not care about me or my health. - Lisa Hammon did not want to care for me. After I disclosed that I went to Urgent Care, Lisa Hammon shows 1.) signs of relief as she doesn't need to care for me anymore 2.) extreme lack of sympathy 3.) extreme lack of care 4.) heartless and emotionless traits Lisa Hammon's negligence as a practitioner has led me to end up in Urgent Care. Lisa Hammon was the reason for my pain and suffering. And they did not do any sorts of measurements of me when I was there. Lisa asked me "what's your weight?" and she input whatever number I gave her. I have family members who are in the Medical Field and even they said that an annual physical is so easy that it's ridiculous they reject it to my face. Nonetheless, this experience has been beyond traumatic.
