We did just that and unfortunately (last minute) had to bring our two young children to the meeting when we went to file our taxes. He seemed un-phased by this which was great for us. We sat down for a minimal period of time and the business was completed right then and there. He had everything complete in about 30-45 minutes and all we needed was to sign on the dotted lines. Two weeks later, our refund was direct deposited into our account and we couldn't have been more satisfied with Mr. Carpenter's professionalism, speed, and trustworthiness. A week later, I advised my elderly mother to go to him with her paperwork as he offered to look it over for her. She did just that, and after an hour's worth of his time, he laid out the different options she had this year for her tax filing. She chose an option that allowed her to hold off filing for a year since she had income mostly from Social Security, and Bill still didn't charge her for his time. Usually, they would have minor mistakes that would need a small amount of correcting. This last accounting season was an all-time level of incompetence. My expected return was off by thousands of dollars because the accountant didn't even bother speaking with me before creating my tax documents. They rush everything in order to "save" time. In the end you'll have to call/email them multiple times to correct their carelessness.
