They originally said they could clean a 1/16 inch coffee stain. Then they informed my husband that damage occurred due to 'moths' . They said they could attempt to fix it or return it. They have had my item over 6 weeks and I'm still waiting....please respond, resolve and return my sweater immediately!!! Fixed or damaged at this point!!! 3pm approx same day. Spoke with the very cagey owner who likes to record messages, I suppose to 'save' being sued. By the way, I did not give permission to record our conversation. After 30 years in the Fashion Insustry and the ability to sew couture... yes ...I won my Green Card on being exceptionally talented in this field, I think , I'm more than qualified to say, I could have done the job myself, in a mili- fraction of the time. Let's see what I receive... when the owner decides to release my Sweater-in-captive! Now may I add, if the owner does not wish to send back my item because my husband brought the item in, what does that say about discrimination? Oh how I miss the old owner Sue! I brought in a pair of purple pants to be cleaned. When I picked them up, they were an entirely different color. Obviously something happened when cleaning them. I called the manufacture and they said that it has never happened before, and said that the cleaners should make good on the mistake. I brought the pants back to Syosset Cleaners, and showed them. Gary said to let him clean them again, and that he would call me after to discuss. He never called. I just went to check in, and the lovely lady who works there did not know what to do. The pants were still a different color. She called Gary's cell and sent a picture. I then spoke to Gary who would not admit the error in cleaning and would not make good on the $310 pants and the $20 I spent to have them cleaned. Nor would he give me a receipt as proof of the two times they were cleaned (I can't find my original receipt, but saw it on their computer.) First, he claimed that they were a different color bc they were dirty - which they weren't as he just cleaned them for the second time. At that point I stormed out, after I INSTISTED that he give me the ruined pants which at first he wouldn't do and had put them in the back. I will now deal with the Nassau County Department of Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau. I hope $330 was worth it to a newly owned local business. Again, oh how I miss the old owners. This never would have happened with them! I have been using them for over 20 years - they were the ones with the good reviews, not the new owners.

I walked in completely clueless on a whim, tactlessly not making an appointment, and even though it was Juan's lunchbreak he still immediately took the time to see me and work with me. That said... let the man eat. Don't interrupt his break! I still feel bad about it!!! About the tailoring: Juan is just That Dude. He WILL make you look better and point out ways to make the clothes better compliment your body that others don't even know about. The pricing felt extremely fair and not at all like I was being overcharged for the amount and quality of work being done. Not only that, Juan did me a solid by getting the alterations done in-time with a big move out of state. Last minute, off of a random walk-in, and brother still treated me like I was a long time regular. And matter of fact, even though I'm going to be living down south I WILL still be getting my nicest clothing tailored by Juan. The previous evening I'd finally received my bridesmaid dress only to find that it was way, WAY too big for me -- like, comically large. Lena at Pamper was recommended to me by a friend & I arrived the following afternoon in a panic, certain that the dress was unsalvageable in the time frame & that I'd have to bow out of the bridal party. Turns out my terror wasn't necessary! Lena warmly scolded me for getting myself into such a pickle before pinning & marking the dress. I returned some days later to try it on & could not believe it! The dress felt great on & I felt beautiful, & layers upon layers of delicate fabric had been expertly snipped, tucked, shortened, & sewn. After a couple more tweaks, I was able to pick up the dress the day before leaving for the wedding & support my girl as she walked down the aisle. Thank you so much, Lena!
