WARNING: DESTROYED A HIGH-END PRODUCT: read below…read more This cleaning service has had my Paris-bought cashmere sweater for over 6 weeks now! I'm not pleased at all. They originally said they could clean a 1/16 inch coffee stain. Then they informed my husband that damage occurred due to 'moths' . They said they could attempt to fix it or return it. They have had my item over 6 weeks and I'm still waiting....please respond, resolve and return my sweater immediately!!! Fixed or damaged at this point!!! 3pm approx same day. Spoke with the very cagey owner who likes to record messages, I suppose to 'save' being sued. By the way, I did not give permission to record our conversation. After 30 years in the Fashion Insustry and the ability to sew couture... yes ...I won my Green Card on being exceptionally talented in this field, I think , I'm more than qualified to say, I could have done the job myself, in a mili- fraction of the time. Let's see what I receive... when the owner decides to release my Sweater-in-captive! Now may I add, if the owner does not wish to send back my item because my husband brought the item in, what does that say about discrimination? I don't think my husband would look too great in a size small baby pink diamonte buttoned Parisian cardigan. Stay tuned to know the outcome when of this 6 week long saga! 4.20pm After my 'Husband' shared a 'man to man' conversation with the owner as HE requested; I have been notified that my sweater will be back with me the latest Wednesday .Stay tuned, I'll update, exam the workmanship after 6 weeks and post my final review with a picture... 10.30am Wednesday 6/4/25 The 'man to man' thing , transported my European Sweater (cardigan) into my loving husband's arms... Once I receive and exam it, I will post my final review and picture of the workmanship... here's hoping ... 9pm Thursday 6/5/25 It's taken me over 24 hours to come around after receiving the appalling destruction of my Tara Jarmon baby pink cashmere sweater. What was handed to this business was an immaculate French cashmere sweater with a 1/16th of an inch coffee spec. What I received back was a hole infested mess! See photos below, they speak volume. I had just two days to get my bridesmaid dress altered before flying to Texas for a wedding, and there was a LOT of fabric that needed to be taken in. Despite the tight turnaround, my dress was ready on time and fit perfectly. I truly couldn't have gotten luckier finding a tailor who not only does exceptional work under pressure, but is also a complete gentleman. I was so impressed that I even came back later that same day to have a few pairs of pants tailored -- and those turned out fabulous as well. Thank you so much, Sal!

Oh how I miss the old owner Sue! I brought in a pair of purple pants to be cleaned. When I picked them up, they were an entirely different color. Obviously something happened when cleaning them. I called the manufacture and they said that it has never happened before, and said that the cleaners should make good on the mistake. I brought the pants back to Syosset Cleaners, and showed them. Gary said to let him clean them again, and that he would call me after to discuss. He never called. I just went to check in, and the lovely lady who works there did not know what to do. The pants were still a different color. She called Gary's cell and sent a picture. I then spoke to Gary who would not admit the error in cleaning and would not make good on the $310 pants and the $20 I spent to have them cleaned. Nor would he give me a receipt as proof of the two times they were cleaned (I can't find my original receipt, but saw it on their computer.) First, he claimed that they were a different color bc they were dirty - which they weren't as he just cleaned them for the second time. At that point I stormed out, after I INSTISTED that he give me the ruined pants which at first he wouldn't do and had put them in the back. I will now deal with the Nassau County Department of Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau. I hope $330 was worth it to a newly owned local business. Again, oh how I miss the old owners. This never would have happened with them! I have been using them for over 20 years - they were the ones with the good reviews, not the new owners.

DAVID THE TAILOR IS THE GREATEST EVER!!! "Stop Searching --…read moreDavid at Ditto Quest Is the Only Tailor You'll Ever Need Again" I'll be direct with you, because that's what a review this important deserves: finding a truly great tailor is one of the most underrated life skills a person can develop. I searched for years. I tried tailors across Manhattan, throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties, and spent more money than I care to admit on mediocre results. And then I found David at Ditto Quest Tailoring & Design in Farmingdale -- and my search was permanently, definitively over. Let me tell you what genuine tailoring mastery looks like up close. When David measures you or examines a garment, there's a quiet, focused intensity about him. He's not rushing you out the door. He's not guessing. He is thinking, assessing, problem-solving -- and you can tell that every decision he makes is informed by deep experience and a craftsman's pride. He asks the right questions. He listens carefully to what you want and what you need. And then he delivers something beyond what you thought was possible. I've brought David everything: a beloved blazer I'd had for fifteen years that never quite fit right -- he fixed it perfectly in days. A formal suit for a high-profile event where I needed to look my absolute best -- he transformed it into something I wore with total, unshakeable confidence. A pair of trousers from a designer label that fit everywhere except the waist -- he matched the fabric, let them out seamlessly, and you would never know they had been touched. That is the mark of a true professional. His pricing is fair and honest. His turnaround time is excellent. His shop is clean, organized, and welcoming. But above all of that -- above every practical consideration -- it is the quality of the work itself that sets David apart from every other tailor I have ever encountered. His stitching is invisible. His alterations are structurally sound and aesthetically perfect. He doesn't cut corners, ever, because David clearly views each garment as a reflection of his reputation -- and his reputation is one of pure excellence. I have recommended David to colleagues, friends, and family members, and every single one of them has come back to me saying the same thing: "Why didn't I know about this man sooner?" That is the universal David experience -- astonishment, gratitude, and immediate loyalty. If you are on Long Island and you care about how you look and how your clothing fits -- and you should, because the way you present yourself to the world genuinely matters -- then there is one call you need to make.
