I rented a unit based on they had security cameras and signage of the facility being monitored. My unit was broken into and many valuable items were stole. When I contacted them to get video footage for the police, I was told the cameras hadn't worked for a long time. Roof leaked all over my stuff, took well over a week before anyone got to it. Had a payment miss because of a new card, they locked it that day. Its been 2 weeks and they haven't unlocked it. Will be finding new storage. read more

The 10 x 20 storage unit we rented for 15 months was clean when we moved in and dry for the entire time. No problems here. The issue was the exit process. We moved out and terminated our rental 12/1. They agreed, took us off the lease, and said they would issue a security deposit reund if unit was OK. We were on monthly auto bill to our credit card and they tried to run a charge thru for Decemeber rent. I caught it, called them, and they removed the pending charge. Then they issued my full SD refund in December. They tried again on January 1 to charge my card for anothers month's rent. Watch the check out process!!!! Greedy buggers. read more

Rented for 2 months. Came back to find water on the floor and mold covering everything in our unit and adjacent units. Scummy workers started this was not of their concern and my insurance should cover it. Renters insurance does not standards cover water and mold damage. The only service they offered to provide was to dispose of my items worth thousands for free! Would've been cheaper to throw all of my belongings in a dumpster. Don't rent from Edwards Mini Storage unless you would like to find everything you've stored to have been destroyed by rats/mice. Upon clearing my locker out I found PILES of rat s*** pellets in every crook and crevice you can think of, papers in my file cabinet to have been ripped to shreds and my mattress and box spring to have been soaking wet and laden with mold, caused by what I can only assume was the result of some sort of leak due to the amount of snow La Crosse has recently had. To my misfortune none of this is covered by renters insurance and they have made sure to cover themselves in the lease they have you sign to ensure that they aren't held liable for any type of damage. Please don't put yourself through the gross misfortune of using this storage company, you will be sorely disappointed if you do. read more

BEWARE!!! These people are absolute crooks. Do not enter in an agreement with them or you will regret it. We rented a storage unit for the last five days in May at a pro-rated cost and paid a $50 security deposit. We followed the lease to the letter and they refuse to pay back the security deposit! They NOW say that there was a one month minimum rental cost, regardless of how many days of the month you use. This IS NOT stated in the lease. I will be having my attorney handle it as a matter of principle. These people prey on naive college kids as they have no other means to store their possessions between apartment moves. A lease agreement that tells the true costs is the honest way to do business. Edwards Mini Storage is as dishonest as they come. BEWARE!!! read more

I rented a UHAUL 5x8 trailer out of state and dropped it off at Edwards Mini Storage. Easy to find, and there is a check-in lane. After giving name and such, I was instructed to unhitch the trailer from my vehicle. What? So I got out of the car and started the procedure while the attendant watched. I then mentioned the door was very stubborn to open and close...."yeah I noticed that too....I'll have to put some WD-40 on it." What, again? These people try and stick you in a old dog kennel. Our stuff got wet and moldy and the driveway to it is a hazard.

I don't have any problems with these folks. They have been really nice over the phone and in person. The storage units are what you would expect for an outdoor unit of it's age. The price is reasonable as well. read more

I had my stuff stored in one of the indoor locker units off of Hwy 16 for 2 weeks, and I came back to find water all over the floor. Everything that was touching the ground-couch, dresser, mattress, boxes, etc.- was wet and moldy. I will not be giving them business again! read more
