Recently, I called them because another insurance agency offered me better rates. I called them to say this and to request a discount given the challenges with the pandemic, as well. When I received a return call from the woman who worked at DC Insurance Group, she was extremely condescending and discouraging. She also told what I believe is a lie. She said that there is no way they can provide or look into a discount. She used a stuck-up tone. And she also said that they have no control over the price, and that this is all decided by my mortgage company. I know that is 100% false because the mortgage company allows me a choice of which provider to use for insurance. So she basically lied to me to get me to stop asking for the assistance. I can't believe this is how they treat loyal customers who have paid on time for 5 years. I would be very careful before going with them if you are in the market for insurance.

Paul provided me with insurance for a few years. It was fine, until he rewrote my auto policy…read moreDecember 2024. I had him rewrite it again the next day to match a different quote I received. He gave me an issue about PIP, I did not want it because I already have medical insurance. In order to fully remove it I apparently need a letter from my health insurance. Okay; whatever. I'll stick with the lowest amount for PIP. Renewal time came & the 1st policy he wrote renewed, not the one I paid for. Instead of saying hey I'm sorry, he lied & tried convincing me I actually paid for the first one. Well, everything was done in text or email so I have the receipts. Finally well I mentioned writing an appropriate review, he told the truth. A few weeks go by, I check on my refund, because I didn't hear back. Apparently I "fell through the cracks". But we were back at square one at which policy I paid for. Again, I have all the receipts. If you want an honest person who doesn't overcharge, lies, & lets things "slip through the cracks" to provide you with insurance, Paul is not your guy.

I decided to walk into Paul's St.Clair Shores office to physically show both Paul and Brandie the documentation I received from Farm Bureau so they can have an understanding of my confusion and so that we were all on the same page. The outcome wasn't exactly the solution I was looking for. However, Paul was as honest as he could be with me. Showing me exactly what he had access to and why we had to take the path we took so my family members and I can be covered. Coming into Paul's office you can tell that their team genuinely cares for you as their customer, and try their best to resolve any issue that may come their way. I moved from the San Francisco Bay Area to Detroit in 2021. I was still living in California when I…read morebought my house and I had to arrange for insurance while still out of state. Having never lived in Detroit prior to this home purchase, I had no idea what to expect my insurance premium to be. I had renters insurance through Liberty Mutual and so I assumed I would just convert that policy to a homeowners policy. Wrong! When I got the quote from liberty to insure the house, it came in at $15,000 a year! Even the customer service representative thought that it must be a mistake. It wasn't and other insurers I subsequently contacted were also very high with their quotes. Rapidly getting discouraged and expecting this to be the norm, I was throughly surprised when I contacted Pam Mowatt State Farm agency and received a quote for about 1/3 of what the others had quoted me. I didn't hesitate to place my business with State Farm Insurance and I have been with them for 3 years and have never regretted it. Pam and Robin Pedica are just great to work with. They routinely check in with me and annually set up a meeting to go over the policy and together we search for discounts. This year, when my policy was scheduled to go up considerably ,Pam was able to spot an opportunity for me to get a major discount by bundling My policy with an auto policy and it was really a surprising difference in price. Had she not taken the time to do this and explain it to me, I never would have known and would have continued and just had to live with the large price increase at renewal .Pam And Robin even took time to help me with an insurance matter I had with a different Carrier that had nothing to do with state farm, but they advised me and even took a look at some of the paperwork to make sure I was being treated appropriately by the other insurance Carrier. I think these guys are fantastic and I won't go anywhere else because truly, they have earned my business.
