He has seen me though kidney cancer about 20 years ago and made a plan for surgery. The cancer was removed and I never had any issues with cancer again. Let me add at least at the time I had like a 30% chance of survival. He has also gotten me though a couple of different scary health issues and every time his diagnosis has been correct and his treatment has cured me. He's a excellent old school doctor that ends up being a close friend to many of his patient's. I don't believe I would be here on earth if it wasn't for him. Let me add I'm not unique, I never seen Dr mongillo treat anyone else exactly the same way I'm was. He is a human being that cares about humanity. I would and have staked my life on his ability of being a old school doctor putting every patient first.

She has never tested me for a fungal issue diagnosed by my lung doctor a few years ago via a Blood test. He referred me to an infectious disease doctor who never treated me since the medication was very strong and could damage my kidney. Many months after a near death experience in 2023/2024, I was still feeling pain in my liver. Dr Passalaqua was recommended and when I told her my disease doctor said my discomfort and pain would subside, she yelled at me to say "Who told you that I shouldn't experience any pain, she said it should/ could take a year and a half to heal since my abscesses were so bad and I was days from dying. Now I am sick again and exhausted all tests available and when she came in the room she yelled that my fungal issues from a few years ago were resolved. I was Never retested, so her aggressive attitude was not warranted. She continued to be condescending and when I tried to explain my symptoms and tests to date she kept shutting me down. I aggressively through her out of my room and asked her not to return! Also when I called her answering service last evening asking to speak to the on call doctor, which I understand she is the only doctor in her office for, her office staff disguised her self as Dr Passalaqua. Her voice was the same as the office girl who said an August 6th was the soonest appointment. It was unacceptable because I have been battling symptoms since April 30. Time is of the essence and I am my only advocate. Needless to say I will never return or recommend Dr Passalaqua ever again. I called my former disease specialist and they order blood test as that is how it was diagnosed back in 2023. She wanted to do a sputum test. She was NOT listening to my requests or concerns!! A horrible experience despite her 30 years of experience told to me by the attending ER doctor.

She got so rude on the phone and saying she doesn't have time for that and that they are short staffed. I said please do be snippy with me, and as I was speaking to make an appointment she hung up. So I called back, I don't know who picked up (most likely the same person) I said why did I get hang up on, and she hung up again for the third time. I explained myself again, and made an appointment that I cancelled right away .this was just for a physical appointment , what if I was sick and they act like that again and again ....I was going to ask to be a concierge patient, but they don't need my money I guess. I've been a patient at OSG since July 2016 after a terrible car accident (100% other driver's fault…read moreon I95 rear-end collision with my car) for which I'm still in treatment. I've had wonderful care by the doctors, their staff and the chiropractor I've been treated by at OSG. However, I've had horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE treatment by administrative staff, most especially Billing Dept staff. Now, I have insurance covering the majority of my care so all I had were copays which I maxed out the out-of-pocket by mid-year, each year. Being unable to work, unemployment running out, and waiting for a disability determination and food stamps, I lost my job, my home and finally my apartment in December 2017. I explained this to the Billing Dept (I owed less than $300) that I was now living in my car in Winter and getting $25 gift cards to buy gas and food from my social services counselor. I desperately needed reports sent from my doctors to my attorney so he could negotiate a settlement in my case and I could hopefully afford a modest apartment and living expenses. I assured them they would be paid ANY outstanding bills as I still needed continued care. THE STAFF IN THE BILLING DEPARTMENT REFUSED TO RELEASE ANY REPORTS UNTIL MY BILL WAS PAID. I needed to see my doctor for an appointment which they allowed me to do WHEN I PAID HALF OF WHAT I OWED AT THAT TIME. It is now March 16, 2018 and the Billing Dept. still HAS NOT RELEASED MY DOCTORS' REPORTS. I am still living in my car and my health continues to deteriorate and my situation to worsen. I received $16 a month from the State of CT to live on which I'm appealing and I'm still waiting on disability determination. It's still Winter and it is very cold living in a car. I potentially could have been living in a warm space if my lawyer could have worked out a settlement before the end of 2017, BUT HE DIDN'T HAVE THE REPORTS FROM THE OSG DOCTORS. THE ONLY DOCUMENTATION MISSING AND STANDING IN HIS WAY IN MOVING FORWARD ON MY BEHALF. The doctors are great, but BEWARE, the Administrative Staff, i.e. Billing have Hearts of Stone. No Compassion. No Empathy. These People Should Not Work For Any Healthcare Agency--Ever!!!

I called about 2 weeks before I was to start and the receptionist complained to me that my doctor should have told me to call sooner as they had no openings. I completed online all my paper work, scheduled the initial assessment and then heard nothing. When I called them for my Milford appointments, they told me they did not have any and I would need to continue with Hamden. This is a trek from Milford and I was 2 weeks post op and unable to drive yet. Luckily, I was able to find another practice in Milford that was able to see me when I needed to begin. Not impressed.
