Most of my classes have been taught by the owner John. He's a paramedic who was in the field for many years. He is practical and has entertaining stories that enhance learning and really tie things together. I am confident the equipment is clean and the environment is supportive and encouraging. Registration is super easy and cards are processed in a few days and retrieved online. There are a few places in ABQ that provide AHA training, but I would not have kept coming here for the past 8 years if this wasn't worth my time and my money. I highly recommend American CPR.

This school has been absolutely perfect for our family since he was diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum as being a child with High-Functioning Autism. He is not in a special education classroom and is not on an IEP and does not need to be at this school. The school treats each child as an individual and educates them to their specific needs and abilities. The school has a four-day school week and there is no homework being brought home. My nephew has been allowed to advance at his own level, even up to the next grade level, and does not have the stigma of being treated like he is in special education. All children are on a behavior management program where they are rewarded for good behavior and he is frequently going on field trips. Bullying is treated appropriately and I'm ecstatic to hear my nephew be able to actually say for the first time that he has "friends." He has sensory issues with clothes and is allowed to wear clothes that are comfortable to him. I like this school because my nephew is treated like a capable child and for the first time in his life is enjoying school and really likes his teachers. It's a pleasure to see him come home from school in a good mood and a lot of his behavioral issues at home have greatly decreased since he has been enrolled at this school. I would totally recommend this school to any parent who has a child on the autism spectrum and/or has ADHD/ADD, or has any type of learning disability.

I am the writer of that horribly written negative review. That was written when I was much younger,…read moreand I have a much different and a better view of this whole situation now so I will write a better review. I went to that school from preschool (they called it k-4 when I was in it) all the way up until 8th grade. There were many different principals while I was there but my experience with one of them, Mrs. Cordova, was the most memorable and was my main reason for such a hateful review. She would often take advantage of the fact that I was not only stupid as a preteen, but that I was always the one being walked all over. She had been my 2nd grade teacher, and not long after became the principal. She tried to get me to be a mediator for a group of girls in my class that caused the most issues and were the main bullies in the school at the time. She also never suggested solutions or helped in any way when it came to academic problems. At the time, the math teacher was one of her close friends and she would, in fact, "play the devils advocate" whenever anyone said any sort of issue they had with the math teacher, including with her own son. Different children have different needs and some are more sensitive than others. It was not helpful or kind of her to always try and pin the blame on me for not understanding what the teacher was teaching. They would suggest tutoring but a middle schooler and a high schooler being put together for tutoring doesn't work well OFTEN. High schoolers can and DO get distracted easily, especially in an environment where they are not allowed to get distracted or talk much with their friends until lunchtime which was when tutoring was. This school was not helpful unless you were one of the really academically strong kids, and that was my issue. It also was not a very okay environment to be gay in, especially when it was covid and it felt like the world was ending. It was not a good experience for me overall, but I would like to apologize about the hateful and disrespectful review. It doesn't reflect the person that I am now. Please just be mindful of your children and remember, every sin is seen the same in God's eyes and we don't chastise or intimidate our children and relatives for eating bacon like we have gay people for being gay. Truly love each other and do not judge, we do not have the right to only God can. The two really hateful reviews are from people who don't know Jesus and sent their kids to the school simply so that they could use their children as a crutch to write bad reviews, and the only review they have written is about the school they opened up an account just to write a bad review That being said, my son has straight, A's knows more about the Bible than I do knows a lot about math a lot about history a lot about science is great in PE and that's not mentioning how big he is. He's the biggest kid there by far in his grade there are a few things just like any other school that worry me a little Bit And it doesn't mean the schools bad it just means some of the teachers need to get their act together. I really hope some of them don't play favorites but I'm sure that many of the people that write these horrible reviews about this wonderful school have that favorite game they play to I'm sure they played every day at work. They play it on the road they played at home. They play it with their friends. This place is a wonderful school to send your child a little expensive but it's far less expensive than the other schools that are charging 12 and $13,000 For your child ago I paid $6800 a year and yes it's a little bit harder because I had to take a massive pay cut to move from Seattle to New Mexico but my son is happy very happy. I hope that people make it an assessment for themselves, rather than listening to the horrible reviews that were written from normal people that don't get employed by the school there's literally only four reviews. Including this one don't work here I'm a plumber. Everybody knows me is the big red bearded man. I'm more friendly than I ever have been because my family is happy. My sons education is paramount. This is an accredited school. He's gonna go far despite what some of the haters say. Have a nice day everybody great place to send your child. And trump is great. This school serves one of the…read morehighest poverty areas in Albuquerque and deals with children coming from trauma, abuse and neglect. There are over 50 languages spoken at the school with a constant flow of immigrant and refugee families. Given these challenges the teachers, staff and administration work tirelessly to meet the needs of these children. All students take drama, music and dance in addition to academics. While state test scores may lag behind the general population when one looks at year to year gains it is clear the teachers are doing an amazing job. It is easy to generalize from test scores without digging into the whole picture. I will send my child there as soon as they are old enough. I want them to learn to negotiate the real world and make friends from a diverse group of children.

Under Principal Christy Sigmon's "leadership" of 6+ years, students at this school have…read moreconsistently scored at the very rock bottom of all schools in New Mexico, receiving a grade of F on the latest NMPED 2018 rankings (2019 rankings come out fall 2019 for the 18-19 school year). Student achievement has worsened from D to F since she came to her position. In 2018 rankings, just 2% of students read at grade level. The school scored in the bottom 5% of all NM Title 1 schools, and has been targeted as needing level two NMPED intervention. Clearly Sigmon's record shows her to be a vastly overrated educator with friends in APS administration.

I tool the EL-1 New Mexico Transmission contractors' exam, and passed, 1st attempt. I give all the credit to the system and the Construction Seminars employees.
