My son was bullied by another student who also encouraged others to join in. He was pushed, dragged, hit, and even had his shoe taken off and thrown. When we reported this, the response from Vice Principal Jenny Amaya was extremely disappointing. She dismissed the situation by saying my son was "being annoying," which is not an acceptable justification for physical bullying. What made the situation worse is that the vice principal had my child change his statement without my authorization. She essentially coached him on what to say, and the revised statement appeared to minimize what happened and protect the school. This is where everything escalated and became even more concerning. There also appeared to be a conflict of interest, as the student who initiated the bullying was reportedly related to the vice principal. This raises concerns about fairness and whether the situation was handled objectively. At the time, the school also had a new principal who seemed unaware of what was going on, and no meaningful action was taken. I reported the issue to the district, but nothing was done. The lack of accountability and follow-through is very concerning. Overall, this experience left us feeling that the school does not provide a safe or supportive environment for all students. I hope improvements are made so that no other family has to go through a similar situation. Some teachers are great!

Full disclosure, im a father who may be a bit overprotective but with public schools being the way they are I wasnt about to leave my son just anywhere. Thankfully, we were blessed by the FISH radio station, because they were offering partial tuition to christian private schools and this one was the closest to our home. The very first day the receptionist, welcomed us in with a friendly smile and offered to show us around!!! Try asking for the tour at a public school and see the faces you get. This NCA school is small and homey and you know the staff understands that children will perform their best in a nurturing environment. A.R.C.C. stands for Academic Recreational Child Care, and A.S.E.S. stands for After School Education and Safety. To my understanding A.R.C.C. is a paid program with no wait list and A.S.E.S. is a free program with a wait list. Both programs offer great incentives to Norwalk's children. The teachers and office staff at Nuffer are very compassionate and really care about the education and needs of their students. During the school year, traffic and parking here gets really busy, as there are 2 other schools close by. The traffic enforcers (?) for both Nuffer and Los Alisos schools are really nice and do their job well.

They have no patience for kids with disabilities. Instead of working with him, they would brush him off and belittle him in front of the whole class. Thank god one of them retired this year. She should have retired years ago. If your considering sending your child here don't do it! Send them somewhere else. Get a transfer or something, but stay far away from this school!
