Paint swatches: Yes.
Ben Moore paints: Yes.
High end blinds and window coverings. Absolutely not.
Know this: Customer service/repairs under the manufacturer's warranty is managed by whomever sold you those expensive, high end window coverings - not the manufacturer. So if 'Ed's Painting and Decorating' sold you the high end Hunter Douglas Lumineers and you should find yourself needing to place a service call under warranty to Ed's P&D any time during the next 2-5yrs the warranty covers repairs/parts/replacement, expect to get ignored until they feel good and ready to reach out to you in nearly a month or more. Keep in mind, the warranty does not cover the tech's cost of doing the actual repair nor the cost of the site visit. So even under warranty, the best you can hope for is a competent tech who can hone in on the issue and repair it quickly/properly so you can avoid the $200-600 per visit this will get you for. This store doesn't believe in appointments at all. The protocol for Ed's is to allow several weeks to pass without a single response after you leave a f/u msg some time in week 5 or 6 requesting a date/time for the service call place a month prior while under warranty. Early in Week 10, you will get a text in the early evening stating someone will be there in the early morning to do the repair. The alternative service Wade provides is ranting at customer like the customer is a complete imposition for having to call for repairs under warranty. As far as being a loyal Ben Moore paint customer of some 20yrs, I will drive 50+ miles to a different Ben Moore location than give Ed's one more dollar or one more minute of my time. Hunter Douglas - I recommend you go online to the HD customer service page and see just how many consultants are actually in your area. Call them and ensure they have the staff to provide tech support, if the person they send will be HD trained/certified, and willing to be available within 10-14 days to service warranty issues -- consider if you are comfortable relying on that one person to provide support/repairs for the life of your blinds -- then proceed with caution knowing it's gonna cost you - time, money, aggravation and lots of it. read more
